Psalmii 149

1 Lăudați pe DOMNUL. Cântați DOMNULUI o cântare nouă, și lauda lui în adunarea sfinților.

Hallelujah. Sing unto the Lord a new song, his praise in the congregation of the pious.

2 Să se bucure Israel în cel ce l-a făcut; să se bucure copiii Sionului în Împăratul lor.

Let Israel rejoice in his Maker: let the children of Zion exult in their King.

3 Să laude numele lui cu dans, să îi cânte laude cu tamburina și harpa.

Let them praise his name in the dance: with the timbrel and harp let them sing praises unto him.

4 Căci DOMNUL își găsește plăcerea în popor, va înfrumuseța pe cei umili cu salvare.

For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people; he will adorn the meek with salvation.

5 Să se bucure sfinții în glorie, să cânte cu voce tare în paturile lor.

Let the pious be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their couches.

6 Să fie laudele înalte ale lui Dumnezeu în gura lor și o sabie cu două tăișuri în mâna lor,

The exalted praises of God are in their mouth, and a two-edged sword is in their hand;

7 Pentru a împlini răzbunare asupra păgânilor și pedepse asupra popoarelor.

To execute vengeance on the nations, and chastisements on the people:

8 Să lege pe împărații lor cu lanțuri și pe nobilii lor cu cătușe de fier;

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron:

9 Pentru a împlini judecata scrisă împotriva lor; această onoare o au toți sfinții lui. Lăudați pe DOMNUL.

To execute upon them the judgment [which is] written: this is an honor for all his pious servants. Hallelujah.
