Psalmii 122

1 O cântare a treptelor, a lui David. M-am veselit când mi-au spus: Să mergem la casa DOMNULUI.

A Canticle in steps. I rejoiced in the things that were said to me: “We shall go into the house of the Lord.”

2 Picioarele noastre vor sta înăuntrul porților tale, Ierusalime.

Our feet were standing in your courts, O Jerusalem.

3 Ierusalimul este zidit ca o cetate strâns unită împreună.

Jerusalem has been built as a city, whose participation is unto itself.

4 Căci acolo urcă triburile, triburile DOMNULUI, la mărturia lui Israel, pentru a aduce mulțumiri numelui DOMNULUI.

For to that place, the tribes ascended, the tribes of the Lord: the testimony of Israel, to confess to the name of the Lord.

5 Căci acolo sunt așezate tronuri de judecată, tronurile casei lui David.

For in that place, seats have sat down in judgment, seats above the house of David.

6 Rugați-vă pentru pacea Ierusalimului; vor prospera cei ce te iubesc.

Petition for the things that are for the peace of Jerusalem, and for abundance for those who love you.

7 Pace fie înăuntrul zidurilor tale și prosperitate înăuntrul palatelor tale.

Let peace be in your virtue, and abundance in your towers.

8 Pentru frații și însoțitorii mei, voi spune acum: Pace fie înăuntrul tău.

For the sake of my brothers and my neighbors, I spoke peace about you.

9 Datorită casei DOMNULUI Dumnezeul nostru voi căuta binele tău.

For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I sought good things for you.
