Psalmii 115
1 Nu nouă, DOAMNE, nu nouă, ci numelui tău dă glorie, pentru mila ta și pentru adevărul tău.
Not to us, Adonai, not to us, but to your name give kavod ·weighty glory·, for your chesed ·loving-kindness·, and for your truth’s sake.
2 De ce să spună păgânii: Unde este acum Dumnezeul lor?
Why should the nations say, “Where is their God, now?”
3 Dar Dumnezeul nostru este în ceruri, el a făcut tot ce i-a plăcut.
But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.
4 Idolii lor sunt argint și aur, lucrarea mâinilor oamenilor.
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
5 Au guri, dar nu vorbesc; au ochi, dar nu văd;
They have mouths, but they don’t speak. They have eyes, but they don’t see.
6 Au urechi, dar nu aud; au nări, dar nu miros;
They have ears, but they don’t sh'ma ·hear obey·. They have noses, but they don’t smell.
7 Au mâini, dar nu ating; au picioare, dar nu umblă; nici nu vorbesc prin gâtul lor.
They have hands, but they don’t feel. They have feet, but they don’t walk, neither do they speak through their throat.
8 Cei ce îi fac sunt asemenea lor; și fiecare ce se încrede în ei.
Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.
9 Israele, încrede-te în DOMNUL, el este ajutorul lor și scutul lor.
Israel [God prevails], trust in Adonai! He is their help and their shield.
10 Casă a lui Aaron, încrede-te în DOMNUL, el este ajutorul lor și scutul lor.
House of Aaron [Light-bringer], trust in Adonai! He is their help and their shield.
11 Voi care vă temeți de DOMNUL, încredeți-vă în DOMNUL, el este ajutorul lor și scutul lor.
You who fear Adonai, trust in Adonai! He is their help and their shield.
12 DOMNUL și-a amintit de noi, el ne va binecuvânta; va binecuvânta casa lui Israel; va binecuvânta casa lui Aaron.
Adonai remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel [God prevails]. He will bless the house of Aaron [Light-bringer].
13 Va binecuvânta pe cei ce se tem de DOMNUL, pe cei mici și pe cei mari.
He will bless those who fear Adonai, both small and great.
14 DOMNUL vă va înmulți continuu, pe voi și pe copiii voștri.
May Adonai increase you more and more, you and your children.
15 Voi sunteți binecuvântați ai DOMNULUI care a făcut cerul și pământul.
Blessed are you by Adonai, who made heaven and earth.
16 Cerul, chiar cerurile, sunt ale DOMNULUI, dar pământul l-a dat copiilor oamenilor.
The heavens are the heavens of Adonai; but the earth has he given to the children of men.
17 Morții nu laudă pe DOMNUL, nici vreunul ce coboară la tăcere.
The dead don’t Halleluyah ·praise Yah·, neither any who go down into silence;
18 Dar noi vom binecuvânta pe DOMNUL de acum înainte și pentru totdeauna. Lăudați pe DOMNUL.
But we will bless Yah, from this time forward and forever more. Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
