Psalmii 112

1 Lăudați pe DOMNUL. Binecuvântat este omul care se teme de DOMNUL, care își găsește mult plăcerea în poruncile lui.

Praise ye Yah! How happy is the man who revereth Yahweh, In his commandments, delighteth he greatly;

2 Sămânța lui va fi tare pe pământ, generația celor integri va fi binecuvântată.

Mighty in the earth, shall be his seed, The generation of the upright, shall be blessed;

3 Avere și bogății vor fi în casa lui, și dreptatea lui dăinuiește pentru totdeauna.

Wealth and riches, shall be in his house, and, his righteousness, standeth for aye.

4 Celor integri le răsare lumină în întuneric, el este cu har și plin de compasiune și drept.

Risen—in darkness, is light to the upright, The gracious and compassionate and righteous.

5 Un om bun arată favoare și împrumută, el se îngrijește de lucrurile lui cu discernământ.

Well for a man showing favour and lending! He shall sustain his affairs with justice.

6 Cu siguranță nu se va clătina niciodată, cel drept va fi în amintire pentru totdeauna.

Surely, unto times age-abiding, shall he not be shaken, In remembrance, age-abiding, shall the righteous one remain;

7 Nu se va teme de veștile rele, inima lui este hotărâtă, încrezându-se în DOMNUL.

Of evil tidings, shall he not be afraid, Established is his heart, led to trust in Yahweh;

8 Inima lui este întemeiată, el nu se va teme, până ce își va vedea dorința împlinită asupra dușmanilor săi.

Upheld is his heart, he shall not be afraid, until that he gazeth on his foes.

9 El a împrăștiat, a dat săracului; dreptatea lui dăinuiește pentru totdeauna; cornul lui va fi înălțat cu onoare.

He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the needy, His righteousness, standeth for aye, His horn, shall be exalted in honour.

10 Cel stricat va vedea și se va mâhni; își va scrâșni dinții și se va topi, dorința celor stricați va pieri.

The lawless one, shall see, and be indignant, his teeth, will he gnash and melt away, The craving of the lawless, shall vanish.
