Psalmii 108

1 O cântare sau psalm al lui David. Dumnezeule, inima mea este hotărâtă; voi cânta și voi da laudă, chiar cu gloria mea.

A song. A Psalm of David. My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my being.

2 Trezește-te, psalterion și harpă, eu însumi mă voi trezi devreme.

Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.

3 Te voi lăuda, DOAMNE, printre popoare și îți voi cânta laude printre națiuni.

I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing Your praises among the peoples.

4 Căci mila ta este mare deasupra cerurilor, și adevărul tău ajunge până la nori.

For Your loving devotion extends beyond the heavens, and Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

5 Fii înălțat, Dumnezeule, deasupra cerurilor, și gloria ta deasupra întregului pământ;

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; may Your glory cover all the earth.

6 Ca preaiubiții tăi să fie eliberați, salvează cu dreapta ta și răspunde-mi.

Respond and save us with Your right hand, that Your beloved may be delivered.

7 Dumnezeu a vorbit în sfințenia sa; mă voi bucura, voi împărți Sihemul și voi măsura valea Sucot.

God has spoken from His sanctuary: “I will triumph! I will parcel out Shechem and apportion the Valley of Succoth.

8 Galaadul este al meu; Manase este al meu; Efraim de asemenea este puterea capului meu; Iuda este legiuitorul meu.

Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim is My helmet, Judah is My scepter.

9 Moab este vasul meu pentru spălare; peste Edom îmi voi arunca sandala; peste Filistia voi triumfa.

Moab is My washbasin; upon Edom I toss My sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.”

10 Cine mă va duce în cetatea cea tare? Cine mă va conduce în Edom?

Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?

11 Nu voiești tu, Dumnezeule, care ne-ai lepădat? Și nu voiești tu, Dumnezeule, să mergi înainte cu oștirile noastre?

Have You not rejected us, O God? Will You no longer march out, O God, with our armies?

12 Dă-ne ajutor în timpul tulburării, fiindcă zadarnic este ajutorul omului.

Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless.

13 Prin Dumnezeu vom lucra vitejește, căci el va călca în picioare pe dușmanii noștri.

With God we will perform with valor, and He will trample our enemies.
