Psalmii 107
1 Aduceți mulțumiri DOMNULUI, pentru că este bun, că a lui milă dăinuiește pentru totdeauna.
O give thanks to Yahweh—For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.
2 Așa să spună cei răscumpărați ai DOMNULUI, pe care el i-a răscumpărat din mâna dușmanului;
Let the redeemed of Yahweh say, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
3 Și i-a adunat din țări, de la răsărit și de la apus, de la miazănoapte și de la miazăzi.
And, out of the lands, hath gathered them—From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.
4 Ei au rătăcit în pustie pe o cale neumblată, nu au găsit nicio cetate în care să locuiască.
They wandered about in the desert—in a waste, Way to a city to dwell in, found they none;
5 Înfometați și însetați, sufletul lor a leșinat în ei.
Hungry—yea thirsty, their soul, within them, fainted:
6 Atunci în tulburarea lor au strigat către DOMNUL și el i-a eliberat din strâmtorările lor.
Then made they outcry to Yahweh, in their peril, Out of their distresses, he rescued them;
7 Și i-a condus pe drumul drept, ca să meargă la o cetate de locuit.
And led them by a straight road, That they might journey to a city to dwell in.
8 O, de ar lăuda oamenii pe DOMNUL pentru bunătatea lui și pentru minunatele lui lucrări pentru copiii oamenilor.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men;
9 Căci el satură sufletul care tânjește și umple sufletul flămând cu bunătate.
For he hath satisfied the longing soul, and, the famished soul, hath he filled with good.
10 Cei care șed în întuneric și în umbra morții sunt legați în nenorocire și în fier,
The dwellers in darkness and death-shade, bound with oppression and iron;
11 Pentru că s-au răzvrătit împotriva cuvintelor lui Dumnezeu și au disprețuit sfatul celui Preaînalt;
Because they had rebelled against the sayings of GOD, —and, the counsel of the Most High, they had spurned;
12 De aceea le-a umilit inima cu muncă; au căzut și nu a fost nimeni să îi ajute.
And he bowed down, with labour, their heart, They staggered, with no one to help,
13 Atunci în tulburarea lor au strigat către DOMNUL și el i-a salvat din strâmtorările lor.
Then made they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, Out of their distresses, he saved them;
14 I-a adus din întuneric și din umbra morții și a rupt legăturile lor în bucăți.
He brought them forth out of darkness and death-shade, and, their fetters, he tare off.
15 O, de ar lăuda oamenii pe DOMNUL pentru bunătatea lui și pentru minunatele lui lucrări pentru copiii oamenilor.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
16 Căci el a frânt porțile de aramă și a tăiat zăvoarele de fier în bucăți.
For he brake in pieces the doors of bronze, And, the bars of iron, he hewed asunder.
17 Nebunii, din cauza fărădelegii lor și din cauza nelegiuirilor lor, sunt nenorociți.
The perverse, by reason of their transgression, and on account of their iniquities, are afflicted;
18 Sufletul lor detestă tot felul de mâncare și se apropie de porțile morții.
All manner of food, their soul abhorreth, and so they draw near unto the gates of death,
19 Atunci în tulburarea lor strigă către DOMNUL, iar el îi salvează din strâmtorările lor.
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he saveth them.
20 A trimis cuvântul lui și i-a vindecat și i-a eliberat din nimicirile lor.
He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their graves.
21 O, de ar lăuda oamenii pe DOMNUL pentru bunătatea lui și pentru minunatele lui lucrări pentru copiii oamenilor.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
22 Să aducă sacrificii de mulțumiri și să vestească lucrările lui cu bucurie.
Yea let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount his works with a shout.
23 Cei ce coboară la mare în corăbii, care fac comerț pe ape mari,
Men who go down to the sea, in ships, doing business through mighty waters;
24 Aceștia văd lucrările DOMNULUI și minunile lui în adânc.
They, see the works of Yahweh, and his wonders in the deep;
25 Pentru că el poruncește și ridică vântul furtunos, care înalță valurile mării.
And he speaketh, and there ariseth a tempestuous wind, which lifteth on high its rolling waves;
26 Se ridică spre cer, coboară din nou spre adâncuri, sufletul lor se topește din cauza tulburării.
They mount the heavens, they descend the roaring deeps, their soul, by trouble, dissolveth;
27 Ei se clatină încoace și încolo și șovăie ca un om beat și sunt la capătul înțelepciunii lor.
They reel and stagger, like a drunken man, and, all their wisdom, is engulfed,
28 Atunci în tulburarea lor strigă către DOMNUL, iar el îi scoate din strâmtorările lor.
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he bringeth them forth,
29 El furtuna o face liniște, așa că valurile ei se alină.
He calmeth the storm to a whisper, and silent are their rolling waves:
30 Atunci ei se veselesc că s-au liniștit, iar el îi conduce la limanul lor dorit.
Then are they glad, because they are hushed, And he guideth them unto their desired haven.
31 O, de ar lăuda oamenii pe DOMNUL pentru bunătatea lui și pentru minunatele lui lucrări pentru copiii oamenilor.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
32 Să îl înalțe în adunarea poporului și să îl laude în sfatul bătrânilor.
Yea let them extol him in the convocation of the people, and, in the seated company of elders, let them praise him.
33 El preface râurile în pustie și izvoarele de apă în uscăciune;
He turneth Rivers into a desert, and, Springs of Water, into thirsty ground,
34 Un pământ roditor îl preface în pământ sterp, pentru stricăciunea celor ce locuiesc în el.
A Land of Fruit, into a waste of salt, For the wickedness of them who dwell therein.
35 El schimbă pustia în apă stătătoare și pământul uscat în izvoare de apă.
He turneth A Desert, into a pool of water, and, A Parched Land into springs of water;
36 Și acolo face pe cei flămânzi să locuiască, pentru ca ei să zidească o cetate de locuit,
And hath caused the famished to dwell there, And they have built them a city to dwell in;
37 Și să semene câmpuri și să sădească vii, care să aducă roadele venitului.
And have sown fields, and planted vineyards, and made them fruits of increase:
38 El de asemenea îi binecuvântează, astfel că se înmulțesc foarte mult; și nu lasă vitele lor să se împuțineze.
Thus hath he blessed them, and they have multiplied greatly, And, their cattle, he maketh not few.
39 Din nou, ei sunt împuținați și înjosiți prin oprimare, nenorocire și întristare.
So have they become few and been brought low, By oppression, misfortune, and sorrow;
40 El varsă dispreț peste prinți și îi face să rătăcească în pustie, unde nu este nicio cale.
He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;
41 Totuși din nenorocire el așază pe cel sărac în înalt și îi face familii ca o turmă.
But he hath set the needy on high from affliction, and made families, like a flock: —
42 Cei drepți vor vedea aceasta și se vor bucura și toată nelegiuirea își va închide gura.
The upright seeth and is glad, And, all perverseness, hath closed her mouth.
43 Oricine este înțelept și va lua seama la aceste lucruri, aceia vor înțelege bunătatea iubitoare a DOMNULUI.
Who is wise? then let him observe these things! and diligently consider the lovingkindness of Yahweh.
