Proverbe 26
1 Ca zăpada vara și ploaia la seceriș, așa și onoarea nu este potrivită pentru un prost.
Like snow - in the summer and like rain at the harvest so not [is] suitable for a fool honor.
2 Cum rătăcește pasărea, cum zboară rândunica, tot așa nu va veni blestemul neîntemeiat.
Like bird for fluttering like swallow for flying so a curse without cause (to him *Q(K)*) it will come.
3 Un bici pentru cal, un frâu pentru măgar și o nuia pentru spatele prostului.
A whip for horse a bridle for a donkey and a rod for [the] back of fools.
4 Nu răspunde unui prost conform nechibzuinței lui, ca nu cumva și tu să fii asemenea lui.
May not you answer a fool according to foolishness his lest you should become like him also you.
5 Răspunde unui prost conform nechibzuinței lui, ca nu cumva să fie înțelept în îngâmfarea lui.
Answer a fool according to foolishness his lest he should be wise in own eyes his.
6 Cel ce trimite un mesaj prin mâna unui prost, retează picioarele și bea pagubă.

7 Picioarele șchiopului nu sunt egale; așa este o parabolă în gura proștilor.
They hang down legs from a lame [person] and a proverb in [the] mouth of fools.
8 Precum cel ce pune o piatră în praștie, așa este cel ce dă onoare unui prost.
As ties a stone in a sling so [one who] gives to a fool honor.
9 Precum un spin străpunge mâna bețivului, așa este o parabolă în gura proștilor.
Thorn[s] it goes up in [the] hand of a drunkard and a proverb in [the] mouth of fools.
10 Dumnezeul cel mare care a făcut toate lucrurile răsplătește deopotrivă prostului și răsplătește călcătorilor de lege.
An archer [who] wounds everyone and [one who] hires a fool and [one who] hires [those who] pass by.
11 Cum se întoarce un câine la vărsătura lui, așa se întoarce un prost la nechibzuința lui.
Like a dog [which] returns to own vomit its a fool [who] repeats foolishness his.
12 Vezi un om înțelept în îngâmfarea lui? Este mai multă speranță pentru un prost decât pentru el.
You see a person wise in own eyes his hope [belongs] to a fool more than him.
13 Leneșul spune: Este un leu pe cale; un leu este pe străzi.
He says a sluggard a lion [is] in the road a lion [is] between the open places.
14 Cum se răsucește ușa pe balamalele ei, tot așa și leneșul pe patul său.
The door it turns on hinge[s] its and a sluggard on bed his.
15 Leneșul își ascunde mâna în sân; îl mâhnește să o mai ducă din nou la gură.

16 Leneșul este mai înțelept în îngâmfarea lui decât șapte bărbați care pot întoarce un motiv.

18 Precum un nebun care aruncă tăciuni, săgeți și moarte,

19 Așa este cel ce înșală pe aproapele său și spune: Nu glumesc doar?
So a person [who] he deceives neighbor his and he says ¿ not jesting [was] I.
20 Unde nu este lemn, focul se stinge; tot așa, unde nu este bârfitor, cearta încetează.
With not wood it is extinguished a fire and with not a slanderer it becomes quiet strife.
21 Precum cărbuni [sunt] pentru cărbuni aprinși și lemn pentru foc, așa este un bărbat certăreț pentru aprinderea certei.
Charcoal to burning coals and wood to fire and a person of (contentions *Q(K)*) to kindling strife.
22 Cuvintele unui bârfitor sunt ca rănile și coboară în părțile cele mai adânci ale pântecelui.

25 Când vorbește amabil, să nu îl crezi, fiindcă sunt șapte urâciuni în inima lui.
If he will make favorable voice his may not you trust in him for seven abominations [are] in heart his.
26 Cel a cărui ură este acoperită prin înșelătorie, stricăciunea lui va fi arătată înaintea întregii adunări.
It covers itself hatred with deception it will be revealed wickedness his in [the] assembly.
27 Oricine sapă o groapă va cădea în ea; și cel ce rostogolește o piatră, aceasta se va întoarce asupra lui.
[one who] digs A pit in it he will fall and [one who] rolls a stone to him it will return.
28 O limbă mincinoasă urăște pe cei nenorociți prin ea, și o gură lingușitoare lucrează ruină.
