Filipeni 2
1 Așadar, dacă este vreo încurajare în Cristos, dacă este vreo mângâiere a dragostei, dacă este vreo părtășie a Duhului, dacă sunt adâncuri ale iubirii și îndurări,
If there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any comfort from his love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if there are any tender mercies and compassions,
2 Împliniți-mi bucuria, ca una să gândiți, având aceeași dragoste, fiind de acord, într-o singură minte.
then make my joy full by thinking alike, having the same love, being united in spirit, and having the same purpose.
3 Nu faceți nimic prin ceartă sau glorie deșartă, ci, în umilința minții, toți să stimeze pe alții mai presus de ei înșiși.
Do nothing out of selfishness or empty conceit. Instead with humility consider others better than yourselves.
4 Nu priviți fiecare spre propriile lucruri, ci fiecare și spre cele ale altora.
Each of you should take care not only for your own needs, but also for the needs of others.
5 Lăsați să fie în voi această minte, care era și în Cristos Isus;
You should have the same attitude toward one another as was in Christ Jesus.
6 Care, în chipul lui Dumnezeu fiind, nu a socotit ca tâlhărie a fi egal cu Dumnezeu,
He existed in the form of God, but he did not consider his equality with God as something to hold on to.
7 Ci s-a făcut pe sine însuși lipsit de importanță și a luat asupra lui chipul unui rob și a fost făcut în asemănarea oamenilor;
Instead, he emptied himself by taking the form of a servant, and he was born in the likeness of men.
8 Și, fiind găsit la înfățișare ca un om, s-a umilit și s-a făcut ascultător până la moarte, chiar moarte de cruce.
He humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death of a cross!
9 De aceea Dumnezeu l-a și înălțat cel mai mult și i-a dat un nume care este mai presus de fiecare nume,
Therefore God also highly exalted him. He gave him the name that is above every name.
10 Pentru ca, la numele lui Isus, fiecare genunchi să se plece, al celor din cer și de pe pământ și de sub pământ;
He did this so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend, the knees of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
11 Și să mărturisească fiecare limbă că Isus Cristos este Domnul, spre gloria lui Dumnezeu Tatăl.
He did this so that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 De aceea, preaiubiții mei, precum totdeauna ați dat ascultare, nu ca în prezența mea doar, ci mult mai mult în absența mea, lucrați cu propria voastră salvare, cu teamă și tremur.
So then, my beloved, as you always obey, not only in my presence but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 Fiindcă Dumnezeu este cel care lucrează în voi, deopotrivă a voi și a face după buna lui plăcere.
For it is God who is working in you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
14 Faceți toate lucrurile fără cârtiri și dispute,
Do all things without complaining or arguing.
15 Ca să fiți ireproșabili și inocenți, fiii lui Dumnezeu, fără mustrare, în mijlocul unei națiuni strâmbe și perverse, printre care străluciți ca lumini în lume,
Act in this way so that you may become blameless and honest, children of God without blemish. Act in this way so that you may shine as lights in the world, in the middle of a crooked and depraved generation.
16 Ținând sus cuvântul vieții, ca să mă bucur în ziua lui Cristos, că nu am alergat în zadar, nici nu am muncit în zadar.
Hold tightly to the word of life so that I may have reason to glory on the day of Christ. For then I will know that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.
17 Da, și dacă voi fi turnat peste sacrificiul și serviciul credinței voastre, mă bucur și mă bucur împreună cu voi toți.
But even if I am being poured out as an offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
18 Din același motiv și voi vă bucurați și vă bucurați împreună cu mine.
In the same manner you also should be glad and rejoice with me.
19 Dar mă încred în Domnul Isus, să vă trimit curând pe Timotei, ca să fiu și eu mângâiat, când voi afla cele despre voi.
But I have hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I may also be encouraged when I know the things about you.
20 Fiindcă nu am pe nimeni cu aceeași minte, care se va îngriji cu sinceritate de cele despre voi.
For I have no one else with his same attitude, who is truly anxious for you.
21 Fiindcă toți caută lucrurile lor, nu lucrurile lui Isus Cristos.
For they all seek their own interests, not the things of Jesus Christ.
22 Dar știți dovada despre el, cum, ca un fiu cu tatăl a servit cu mine în evanghelie.
But you know his worth, because as a child serves his father, so he served with me in the gospel.
23 De aceea pe el sper să [vi]-l trimit îndată ce voi vedea cum îmi va merge.
So I hope to send him as soon as I see how things will go with me.
24 Dar mă încred în Domnul, că voi veni și eu curând.
But I am confident in the Lord that I myself will also come soon.
25 Totuși am socotit necesar să-l trimit la voi pe Epafrodit, fratele meu și conlucrător și co-luptător, dar trimisul vostru și cel ce a servit nevoilor mele.
But I think it is necessary to send Epaphroditus back to you. He is my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, and your messenger and servant for my needs.
26 Fiindcă tânjea după voi toți și a fost foarte mâhnit pentru că ați auzit că a fost bolnav.
For he was very distressed, and he longed to be with you all, because you heard that he was sick.
27 Căci, într-adevăr, a fost bolnav, aproape de moarte, dar Dumnezeu a avut milă de el; și nu numai de el, ci și de mine, ca nu cumva să am întristare peste întristare.
For indeed he was so sick that he almost died. But God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but also on me, so that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.
28 De aceea l-am trimis cu mai multă grijă, ca, atunci când îl vedeți din nou, să vă bucurați și să fiu eu mai puțin întristat.
So it is all the more eagerly that I am sending him, so that when you see him again you may rejoice, and I can be free from anxiety.
29 Primiți-l așadar în Domnul, cu toată veselia, și țineți în onoare pe astfel de oameni.
Welcome Epaphroditus in the Lord with all joy. Honor people like him.
30 Pentru că din cauza lucrării lui Cristos a fost el aproape de moarte, neținând la viața lui, ca să suplinească lipsa serviciului vostru către mine.
For it was for the work of Christ that he came near death. He risked his life to serve me and fill up what you could not do in service to me.
