Filimon 1
1 Pavel, prizonier al lui Isus Cristos şi fratele nostru Timotei, lui Filimon preaiubitul şi conlucrătorul nostru,
Paul, prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy my brother, —unto Philemon the beloved, and a fellow worker of ours,
2 Şi preaiubitei Apfia şi lui Arhip, soldat împreună cu noi, şi bisericii din casa ta:
And unto Apphia our sister. And unto Archippus our fellow-soldier, and unto the assembly which meeteth, at thy house:
3 Har vouă şi pace de la Dumnezeu Tatăl nostru şi de la Domnul Isus Cristos.
Favour unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and Lord Jesus Christ.
4 Mulţumesc Dumnezeului meu, amintind întotdeauna despre tine în rugăciunile mele,
I am giving thanks unto my God—always, making mention, of thee, in my prayers,
5 Auzind despre dragostea ta şi credinţa pe care o ai faţă de Domnul Isus şi faţă de toţi sfinţii.
Hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast towards the Lord Jesus and towards all the saints, —
6 Astfel încât părtăşia credinţei tale să devină lucrătoare prin recunoaşterea oricărui lucru bun care este în voi, în Cristos Isus.
To the end that, the fellowship of thy faith, may become, energetic, by a personal knowledge of every good thing that is in us towards Christ;
7 Fiindcă avem mare bucurie şi mângâiere datorită dragostei tale, fiindcă, frate, adâncurile sfinţilor s-au înviorat prin tine.
For, much joy, have I had, and encouragement, by occasion of thy love, in that, the tender affections of the saints, have had rest given them by thee, brother.
8 De aceea, măcar că am multă cutezanţă în Cristos să îţi poruncesc ce se cuvine,
Wherefore, though I have, much, freedom of speech, in Christ, to be enjoining upon thee that which is befitting,
9 Totuşi datorită dragostei, mai degrabă te implor, aşa cum sunt, bătrânul Pavel, iar acum şi prizonier al lui Isus Cristos.
Yet, for loves sake, I rather exhort, —being, such a one, as Paul the aged, now, also, even a prisoner of Christ Jesus, —
10 Te implor pentru fiul meu, Onisim, pe care l-am născut în lanţurile mele,
I exhort thee concerning my own child, whom I have begotten in my bonds, —Onesimus:
11 Care odinioară îţi era nefolositor, dar acum folositor [şi] ţie şi mie,
Him who, at one time, was, unto thee, unserviceable, but, now, unto thee and unto me, serviceable;
12 Pe care ţi l-am trimis înapoi; tu, de aceea, primeşte-l pe el, care este adâncurile mele,
Whom I have sent back unto thee—him, that is, my own, tender affections!—
13 Pe care voiam să îl reţin cu mine, ca să îmi servească în locul tău în lanţurile evangheliei;
Whom, I, was minded, with myself, to detain, that, in thy behalf, unto me, he might be ministering in the bonds of the joyful message;
14 Dar nu am voit să fac nimic fără învoirea ta, pentru ca binele tău să nu fie ca din constrângere, ci de bunăvoie.
But, apart from thy mind, I wished to do, nothing, that, not as by necessity, thy goodness should be, but, by choice.
15 Fiindcă, probabil, de aceea s-a despărţit de tine, pentru un timp, ca să îl ai pentru totdeauna. (aiōnios g166)
For, peradventure, for this cause, was he separated for an hour, that, as an age-abiding possession, thou mightest have him back, — (aiōnios g166)
16 De acum nu ca rob, ci mai presus decât rob, un frate preaiubit mai ales mie şi cu cât mai mult ţie, deopotrivă în carne şi în Domnul?
No longer as a servant, but above a servant—a brother beloved, very greatly to me, but, how much rather, to thee—both in the flesh and in the Lord!
17 De aceea dacă mă socoteşti partener, primeşte-l ca pe mine însumi.
If, therefore, thou holdest me as one in thy fellowship, take him unto thee, as myself;
18 Iar dacă te-a nedreptăţit sau îţi datorează ceva, pune aceasta în contul meu.
And, if he hath wronged thee at all or oweth thee aught, the same, unto me, do thou reckon: —
19 Eu, Pavel, am scris cu propria mea mână, eu voi plăti; ca să nu îţi spun că, peste toate, [şi] tu însuţi îmi eşti dator.
I, Paul, have written [it] with, my own, hand, —I, will repay [it]; that I may not tell thee—that, thyself, unto me, thou still owest.
20 Da, frate, să am bucurie de la tine în Domnul; înviorează-mi adâncurile în Domnul.
Yea! brother, I, would, from thee, have help, in the Lord: give rest unto my tender affections in Christ.
21 Ţi-am scris încredinţat de ascultarea ta, ştiind că vei face chiar mai mult decât ce spun.
Confident of thine obedience, I have written unto thee, knowing that, even beyond what I say, thou wilt do: —
22 Dar totodată pregăteşte-mi de asemenea o locuinţă, fiindcă sunt încredinţat că prin rugăciunile voastre vă voi fi dăruit.
At the same time, moreover, be also getting ready for me, a lodging; for I am hoping that, through your prayers, I shall be granted as a favour unto you.
23 Te salută Epafra, părtaşul meu de închisoare în Cristos Isus,
There salute thee—Epaphras my fellow-captive in Christ Jesus,
24 Marcu, Aristarh, Dima, Luca, conlucrătorii mei.
Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, —my fellow-workers.
25 Harul Domnului nostru Isus Cristos fie cu duhul vostru! Amin.
The favour of the Lord Jesus Christ, be with your spirit.
