1 Și DOMNUL i-a vorbit lui Moise în pustiul Sinai, în prima lună a celui de al doilea an, după ce au ieșit din țara Egiptului, spunând:
One year after the Israelis left Egypt, during the month of March, while they were in the Sinai Desert, Yahweh said to Moses/me,
2 Copiii lui Israel să țină de asemenea paștele la timpul rânduit lui.
“Tell the Israeli people that they must celebrate the Passover [Festival again].
3 În ziua a paisprezecea a acestei luni, pe înserat, să îl țineți la timpul rânduit lui, conform cu toate riturile acestuia și conform cu toate ceremoniile lui, să îl țineți.
They must do it on the fourteenth day of this month, early in the evening, and they must obey all the instructions about it [that I gave you previously].”
4 Și Moise a vorbit copiilor lui Israel să țină paștele.
So Moses/I told the people what Yahweh had said about celebrating the Passover.
5 Și au ținut paștele în ziua a paisprezecea a primei luni, pe înserat, în pustiul Sinai, conform cu tot ceea ce DOMNUL i-a poruncit lui Moise, astfel au făcut copiii lui Israel.
The people celebrated it, there in the Sinai Desert, in the evening of the fourteenth day of the month, just as Yahweh had commanded Moses/me.
6 Și au fost anumiți bărbați, care erau pângăriți din cauza trupului mort al unui om, astfel că nu au putut ține paștele în ziua aceea și au venit înaintea lui Moise și înaintea lui Aaron în acea zi;
But some of the Israeli people had touched a corpse, and as a result they had become unfit to celebrate the Passover. So they asked Aaron and Moses/me,
7 Și acei oameni i-au spus: Noi suntem pângăriți din cauza trupului mort al unui om; pentru aceasta suntem ținuți să nu aducem un dar DOMNULUI la timpul rânduit lui printre copiii lui Israel?
“It is true that we have touched a corpse. But why should that prevent us from celebrating the Passover Festival and offering sacrifices to Yahweh like everyone else [RHQ]?”
8 Și Moise le-a spus: Stați liniștiți iar eu o să ascult ce va porunci Domnul referitor la voi.
Moses/I replied, “Wait here until I go into the Sacred Tent and find out what Yahweh says about it.”
9 Și DOMNUL i-a vorbit lui Moise și a zis:
[So Moses/I went into the tent and asked Yahweh what he/I should tell the people], and this is what Yahweh said:
10 Vorbește copiilor lui Israel, spunând: Dacă vreun bărbat dintre voi sau din posteritatea voastră va fi necurat din cauza unui trup mort, sau este în călătorie departe, totuși el să țină paștele DOMNULUI.
“Tell this to the Israeli people: If any of you or your descendants touch a corpse and as a result become unacceptable to me, or if you are away from home on a long trip [at the time to celebrate the Passover], you will still be permitted to celebrate it.
11 În ziua a paisprezecea a celei de a doua luni pe înserat ei să îl țină și să îl mănânce cu azime și ierburi amare.
But you must celebrate it exactly one month later, early in the evening of the fourteenth day of that month. Eat the meat of the lamb for the Passover Festival with bread that is baked without yeast and eat bitter herbs.
12 Și să nu lase nimic din el până dimineața, nici să nu îi frângă vreun os, să îl țină conform cu toate rânduielile paștelui.
Do not leave any of it until the next morning. And do not break any of the lamb’s bones. Obey all the regulations about celebrating the Passover.
13 Dar omul care este curat și nu este într-o călătorie și se ferește să țină paștele, acel suflet să fie stârpit din mijlocul poporului său, pentru că nu a adus darul DOMNULUI la timpul rânduit lui, acel om să poarte păcatul său.
But if any of you has not done anything that would make you unfit to celebrate the Passover Festival, and you are not away from home on a long trip, and you do not sacrifice to me at the proper time, you will no longer be allowed to associate with my people. (You will be punished/I will punish you).
14 Și dacă un străin va locui temporar printre voi și voiește să țină paștele DOMNULUI; conform rânduielii paștelui și conform obiceiului acestuia, astfel să facă, să aveți o singură rânduială, deopotrivă pentru străin și pentru cel născut în țară.
Foreigners who live among you may also celebrate the Passover Festival, if they obey all my commands concerning it.”
15 Și în ziua în care tabernacolul a fost ridicat, norul a acoperit tabernacolul, adică, cortul mărturiei, și pe înserat era peste tabernacol ceva ca înfățișarea unui foc, până dimineața.
On the day that the Sacred Tent was set up, a cloud covered it. From the time that the sun set until the time that the sun rose [the next day], the cloud resembled a [huge] fire. And that is what happened every day [that we/the Israelis were in the desert].
16 Astfel a fost întotdeauna, norul îl acoperea ziua și înfățișarea de foc pe timpul nopții.
17 Și când norul era ridicat de pe tabernacol, abia apoi copiii lui Israel călătoreau; și în locul unde norul se așeza, acolo copiii lui Israel își așezau corturile lor.
When the cloud rose up and started to move [to a new location], we/they followed it. When the cloud stopped, we/the Israelis stopped there and set up their tents.
18 La porunca DOMNULUI copiii lui Israel călătoreau și la porunca lui Dumnezeu așezau corturile, atâta timp cât norul se așeza peste tabernacol, ei se odihneau în corturile lor.
We/They traveled when Yahweh, [by causing the cloud to move or stop], signaled to us/them when to move and when to stop. When the cloud stayed over the Sacred Tent, we/the Israelis stayed at that place.
19 Și când norul întârzia peste tabernacol multe zile, atunci copiii lui Israel păzeau însărcinarea DOMNULUI și nu călătoreau.
Sometimes the cloud stayed over the tent for a long time, so when that happened, we/they did not travel.
20 Și astfel a fost când norul era puține zile peste tabernacol; conform poruncii DOMNULUI locuiau în corturile lor și conform poruncii DOMNULUI călătoreau.
Sometimes the cloud remained over the tent for only a few days. We/The people stopped and set up our/their tents as Yahweh commanded us/them, and we/they traveled [to a new location] when Yahweh commanded us/them to do that.
21 Și astfel a fost când norul se așeza de seara până dimineața și când norul era ridicat dimineața, atunci călătoreau, fie că era pe ziuă, fie pe noapte, când norul era ridicat, ei călătoreau.
Sometimes the cloud stayed in one place for only one day. When that happened, when the cloud rose up [into the sky] the next morning, then we/they traveled. Whenever the cloud moved, during the day or during the night, we/they traveled.
22 Sau fie că erau două zile sau o lună sau un an, când norul întârzia peste tabernacol, rămânând acolo, copiii lui Israel locuiau în corturile lor și nu călătoreau, dar când acesta era ridicat, călătoreau.
If the cloud stayed over the Sacred Tent for two days, or for a month, or for a year, during that time we/they stayed where we/they were. But when the cloud rose up [into the sky], we/they started to travel.
23 La porunca DOMNULUI se odihneau în corturile lor și la porunca DOMNULUI călătoreau; păzeau însărcinarea DOMNULUI, la porunca DOMNULUI prin mâna lui Moise.
When Yahweh commanded us/them to [stop and] set up our/their tents, we/they did that. When he told us/them to move, we/they moved. We/They did whatever Yahweh told Moses/me that we/they should do.
