Nahum 2
1 Cel ce sparge în bucăţi a venit înaintea feţei tale; păzește cetatea întărită, păzește calea, întărește-ţi coapsele, întărește-ţi mult puterea.
He has come up [one who] scatters on face your guard [the] fortification watch [the] road strengthen [the] loins make strong strength exceedingly.
2 Pentru că DOMNUL a abătut maiestatea lui Iacob, precum maiestatea lui Israel, fiindcă pustiitorii i-au pustiit și le-au stricat viţele.
For he will restore Yahweh [the] majesty of Jacob like [the] majesty of Israel for they have laid waste to them [those who] lay waste and branches their they have destroyed.
3 Scutul războinicilor lui este înroșit, vitejii sunt în stacojiu; carele vor fi cu torţe arzând în ziua pregătirii sale și brazii vor fi înfricoșător zguduiţi.

4 Carele vor năvăli pe străzi, se vor izbi unul de altul pe drumurile late; vor părea ca torţele, vor alerga ca fulgerele.

8 Dar Ninive este din vechime ca un iaz de apă; totuși ei vor fugi. Staţi, staţi, vor striga ei; dar niciunul nu va privi înapoi.
And Nineveh [was] like a pool of water from [the] days of it and they [are] fleeing stop stop and there not [is one who] turns back.
9 Prădaţi argintul, prădaţi aurul, fiindcă fără sfârșit este tezaurul și gloria tuturor mobilelor plăcute.
Plunder silver plunder gold and there not [is] an end to the supply abundance from every article of preciousness.
10 Ea este nelocuită și goală și pustiită; și inima se topește și genunchii se lovesc unul de altul și este multă durere în toate coapsele, și feţele lor toate adună negreală.
Emptiness and emptiness and devastation and heart [is] melting and [are] tottering knees and anguish [is] in all loins and [the] faces of all of them they have gathered a glow.
11 Unde este vizuina leilor și locul de hrană al leilor tineri, unde leul, leul cel bătrân, și puiul de leu a umblat și nimeni nu i-a speriat?
Where? [is the] dwelling place of lions and [is] pasture it for young lions where it walked lion lioness there cub of lion and there not [was one who] disturbed [them].
12 Leul a sfâșiat în bucăţi destul pentru puii săi și a sugrumat pentru leoaicele sale și și-a umplut gropile cu pradă și vizuinile sale cu animale sfâșiate.

13 Iată, eu sunt împotriva ta, spune DOMNUL oștirilor și voi arde carele ei în fum și sabia va mistui pe leii tăi tineri; și îţi voi stârpi prada de pe pământ și vocea mesagerilor tăi nu va mai fi auzită.
Here I [am] against you [the] utterance of Yahweh of hosts and I will burn in smoke chariotry its and young lions your it will consume [the] sword and I will cut off from [the] earth prey your and not it will be heard again [the] voice of messengers your.
