1 Atunci s-au adunat la el fariseii și anumiți scribi care au venit din Ierusalim.
And the Pharisees and certain ones of the scribes, having come from Jerusalem, gather to Him.
2 Și când au văzut pe unii din discipolii lui mâncând pâine cu mâinile spurcate, adică nespălate, îi învinovățeau.
And seeing certain ones of His disciples eating bread with defiled, that is, unwashed hands.
3 Fiindcă fariseii și toți iudeii, dacă nu se spală des pe mâini, nu mănâncă, ținând tradiția bătrânilor.
For the Pharisees and all the Jews, unless they diligently wash their hands, do not eat, holding the tradition of the elders.
4 Și când vin de la piață, dacă nu se îmbăiază, nu mănâncă. Și sunt multe alte lucruri, pe care le-au primit să le țină, precum este: îmbăierea paharelor și a oalelor și a vaselor de aramă și a meselor.
And from the forum, unless they may baptize themselves, they do not eat: and many other things which they have received to hold, the baptism of cups, and pots, and brazen vessels, and couches.
5 Atunci fariseii și scribii l-au întrebat: De ce nu umblă discipolii tăi conform tradiției bătrânilor, ci mănâncă pâine cu mâinile nespălate?
Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, Wherefore do not thy disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders: but they eat bread with unwashed hands?
6 El a răspuns și le-a zis: Bine a profețit Isaia despre voi, fățarnicilor, așa cum este scris: Acest popor mă onorează cu buzele lor, dar inima lor este departe de mine.
And responding He said to them, Beautifully did Isaiah prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as has been written, This people honor me with lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Dar în zadar mi se închină, învățându-[i] pe oameni ca doctrine poruncile oamenilor.
In vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 Fiindcă lăsând deoparte porunca lui Dumnezeu, țineți tradiția oamenilor, precum îmbăierea oalelor și a paharelor; și faceți multe alte lucruri asemănătoare.
For having left the commandment of God, you are holding the tradition of men.
9 Și le-a spus: Prea bine respingeți porunca lui Dumnezeu, ca să țineți propria voastră tradiție.
And He said to them, Truly, you make void the commandment of God, that you may hold your own tradition.
10 Fiindcă Moise a spus: Onorează pe tatăl tău și pe mama ta; și: Cel ce blestemă pe tată sau mamă, de moarte să moară;
For Moses said, Honor thy father and thy mother; and let the one speaking evil of father and mother die the death.
11 Dar voi spuneți: Dacă un om va spune tatălui sau mamei sale: Este corban, altfel spus, orice ți-ar fi de folos de la mine este un dar; va fi liber,
But you say, If a man may say to father or mother, Corban, that is a gift, whatsoever you may be profited by me;
12 Și nu îl mai lăsați să facă ceva pentru tatăl său sau mama sa;
and you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother;
13 Făcând fără efect cuvântul lui Dumnezeu prin tradiția voastră, pe care ați dat-o; și faceți multe alte lucruri asemănătoare.
making void the word of God by your tradition, which you have given: and you do many such similar things.
14 Și după ce a chemat pe toți oamenii, le-a spus: Dați-mi fiecare ascultare și înțelegeți;
And calling the crowd to Him again, He said to them, Hear all ye, and understand.
15 Nu este nimic din afara unui om, care intrând în el îl poate spurca, ci lucrurile care ies din el, acelea sunt cele ce spurcă pe om.
There is nothing without a man coming into him, which is competent to defile him: but those things coming out from him, these are the things which defile the man.
16 Dacă are cineva urechi de auzit, să audă.
If any one has ears to hear, let him hear.
17 Și când a intrat în casă, ieșind din mulțime, discipolii săi l-au întrebat despre parabolă.
And when He came from the multitude into the house, His disciples asked Him the parable.
18 Iar el le-a spus: Așa de nepricepuți sunteți și voi? Nu pricepeți că orice intră în om din afară, nu îl poate spurca;
And He says to them, Are you still without understanding? Do you not know that everything external entering into a man is not able to defile him?
19 Pentru că nu intră în inima lui, ci în pântece și iese în hazna, curățind toate mâncărurile?
Because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is cast out into the excrement, purifying all edibles.
20 Și a spus: Ce iese din om, aceea spurcă pe om.
And He said, Everything proceeding out from the man, that defiles the man.
21 Fiindcă dinăuntru, din inima oamenilor, ies gânduri rele, adultere, curvii, ucideri,
For within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil reasonings, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Hoții, lăcomii, stricăciuni, înșelăciune, desfrânare, un ochi rău, blasfemie, mândrie, nebunie;
thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, impurity, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, folly.
23 Toate aceste rele ies dinăuntru și îl spurcă pe om.
All these evils proceed out from within, and defile the man.
24 Și de acolo s-a sculat și s-a dus între ținuturile Tirului și ale Sidonului și a intrat într-o casă și dorea ca nimeni să nu știe; dar nu a putut fi ascuns.
And rising up, He departed thence into the regions of Tyre and Sidon. And having entered into a house, and He wished no one to know it: and He was not able to be hidden.
25 Fiindcă o femeie, a cărei fetiță avea un duh necurat, a auzit despre el și a venit și a căzut la picioarele lui;
For a woman hearing concerning Him, whose daughter had an unclean spirit, having come worshiped at His feet.
26 Femeia era grecoaică, de națiune siro-feniciană; și l-a implorat să scoată dracul din fiica ei.
For the woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by race; and asked Him that He may cast the demon out of her daughter.
27 Dar Isus i-a spus: Lasă întâi copiii să se sature; fiindcă nu este potrivit să iei pâinea copiilor și să o arunci la căței.
And He said to her, Permit the children first to be fed: for It is not good to take the children's bread and cast it to little dogs.
28 Iar ea a răspuns și i-a zis: Da, Doamne, totuși și cățeii de sub masă mănâncă din firimiturile copiilor.
And she responded and says to Him, Yea, Lord: for even the little dogs eat the crumbs of the children under the table.
29 Și el i-a spus: Pentru acest cuvânt, du-te; dracul a ieșit din fiica ta.
And He said to her, On account of this word go; the demon has already gone out from thy daughter.
30 Și când a ajuns acasă, a găsit dracul plecat și pe fiica ei întinsă pe pat.
And having come into her house, she found the demon gone out, and the daughter lying on the bed.
31 Și din nou, plecând din ținuturile Tirului și Sidonului, a venit la marea Galileii, prin mijlocul ținuturilor Decapolei.
And having again come out from Tyre and Sidon, He came to the Sea of Galilee, amid the coasts of Decapolis.
32 Și ei i-au adus pe unul care era surd și avea un impediment în vorbire; și l-au implorat să își pună mâna pe el.
And they bring Him a deaf man, speaking with difficulty; and intreat Him that He may lay His hand on him.
33 Și l-a luat deoparte afară din mulțime și și-a pus degetele în urechile lui și a scuipat și i-a atins limba,
And taking him from the crowd privately, He put His fingers in his ears, and having spat, He touched his tongue;
34 Și privind în sus spre cer, a oftat și i-a spus: Effata, care înseamnă, Deschide-te.
and looking up to heaven, he groaned, and says to him, Ephphatha, which is, Be thou opened.
35 Și îndată urechile i-au fost deschise și frâul limbii sale a fost dezlegat și vorbea clar.
And immediately his ears were opened, and the bond of his tongue loosed, and he continued to speak distinctly.
36 Și le-a poruncit să nu spună nimănui; dar cu cât le poruncea mai mult, cu atât mai mult proclamau aceasta.
And He charged them that they should tell no one: and the more He charged them, the more abundantly they proclaimed it.
37 Și erau peste măsură de înmărmuriți, spunând: Toate le-a făcut bine; face deopotrivă pe surzi să audă și pe muți să vorbească.
And were astonished exceedingly, saying, He has done all things well: He makes the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
