Luca 12
1 Între timp, pe când era strânsă o mulțime nenumărată de oameni, încât se călcau unii pe alții în picioare, a început să spună întâi discipolilor săi: Păziți-vă de dospeala fariseilor, care este fățărnicia.
Meantime, while the crowd, in myriads flocked about him, so that they trod one upon another, he said, addressing himself to his disciples, Above all things, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
2 Fiindcă nu este nimic acoperit care nu va fi revelat; nici ascuns care nu va fi cunoscut.
For there is nothing covered that shall not be detected: nothing secret that shall not be made known.
3 De aceea orice ați spus în întuneric va fi auzit în lumină; și ce ați vorbit la ureche în cămăruțe, va fi proclamat pe acoperișuri.
What you have spoken in the dark, shall be reported in the light; what you have whispered in the closet, shall be proclaimed from the housetop.
4 Și vă spun, prietenii mei: Nu vă temeți de cei ce ucid trupul și după aceasta, altceva nimic nu mai pot face.
But I charge you, my friends, fear not them who kill the body, and after that can do no more;
5 Ci vă voi avertiza dinainte de cine să vă temeți: Temeți-vă de acela care, după ce a ucis, are putere să arunce în iad; da, vă spun: Temeți-vă de el. (Geenna g1067)
but I will show you whom you ought to fear; fear him, who, after he has killed, has power to cast into hell. I repeat it to you, Fear him. (Geenna g1067)
6 Nu se vând cinci vrăbii cu doi bani și niciuna dintre ele nu este uitată înaintea lui Dumnezeu?
Are not five sparrows sold for two pence? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God:
7 Dar până și perii din capul vostru, toți sunt numărați. De aceea nu vă temeți, sunteți mai de valoare decât multe vrăbii.
yes, the very hairs of your head are all numbered: fear not, therefore; you are much more valuable than sparrows.
8 Și vă spun: Oricine mă va mărturisi înaintea oamenilor, și Fiul omului îl va mărturisi înaintea îngerilor lui Dumnezeu;
Moreover, I say to you, whoever shall acknowledge me before me, him the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God;
9 Dar cel ce mă neagă înaintea oamenilor, va fi negat și el înaintea îngerilor lui Dumnezeu.
but whoever denies me before men, shall be disowned before the angels of God.
10 Și oricui va spune un cuvânt împotriva Fiului omului, îi va fi iertat; dar aceluia ce blasfemiază împotriva Duhului Sfânt, nu îi va fi iertat.
And whosoever shall inveigh against the Son of Man, may obtain remission; but to him who detracts from the Holy Spirit, there is no remission.
11 Iar când vă vor duce la sinagogi și la magistrați și la autorități, să nu vă îngrijorați cum sau ce veți răspunde, sau ce veți spune,
And when you are brought before synagogues, and magistrates, and rulers; be not solicitous how or what you shall answer, or what you shall say:
12 Fiindcă Duhul Sfânt vă va învăța în acea oră ce ar trebui să spuneți.
for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that moment, what ought to be said.
13 Iar unul din mulțime i-a spus: Învățătorule, spune fratelui meu să împartă cu mine moștenirea.
Then one said to him out of the crowd, Rabbi, order my brother to divide the inheritance with me.
14 Iar el i-a spus: Omule, cine m-a pus judecător sau împărțitor peste voi?
He answered, Man, who constituted me your judge or arbiter?
15 Și le-a spus: Fiți atenți și păziți-vă de lăcomie, pentru că viața omului nu stă în abundența bunurilor lui.
And he said to them, Be upon your guard against covetousness; for in whatever affluence a man be, his life depends not on his possessions.
16 Și le-a spus o parabolă, zicând: Pământul unui anumit om bogat a rodit mult;
He also used this example, A certain rich man had lands which brought forth plentifully.
17 Și se gândea în el însuși, spunând: Ce voi face, pentru că nu mai am loc unde să îmi adun roadele?
And he reasoned thus with himself, What shall I do? for I have not where to store my crop.
18 Și a spus: Aceasta voi face: voi dărâma grânarele mele și le voi zidi mai mari; și acolo voi aduna toate roadele mele și bunurile mele.
I will do this, added he; I will pull down my storehouses, and build larger, and there I will store all my produce, and my goods.
19 Și voi spune sufletului meu: Suflete, ai multe bunuri strânse pentru mulți ani; odihnește-te, mănâncă, bea, veselește-te.
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast plenty of goods laid up for many years; take thin ease, eat, drink, enjoy thyself.
20 Dar Dumnezeu i-a spus: Nebunule, în această noapte ți se va cere sufletul de la tine; și cele pe care le-ai pregătit, ale cui vor fi?
But God said to him, Fool! this very night your soul is required of you. Whose, then, shall those things be, which you have provided?
21 Așa este cel ce strânge tezaure pentru el și nu este bogat față de Dumnezeu.
So it fares with him who amasses treasure for himself, but is not rich toward God.
22 Și le-a spus discipolilor săi: De aceea vă spun: Nu vă îngrijorați pentru viața voastră, ce veți mânca; nici pentru trup, ce veți îmbrăca.
Then he said to his disciples, For this reason I charge you, be not anxious about your life, what you shall eat; nor about your body, what you shall wear.
23 Viața este mai mult decât mâncarea, și trupul mai mult decât îmbrăcămintea.
Life is a greater gift than food, and the body than clothing.
24 Uitați-vă cu atenție la corbi, pentru că nici nu seamănă, nici nu seceră; aceștia nu au nici depozit, nici grânar; și Dumnezeu le dă mâncare; cu cât mai valoroși sunteți voi decât păsările?
Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap; have neither cellar nor barn; but God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than fowls?
25 Și care dintre voi, îngrijorându-se, poate adăuga la statura lui un cot?
Besides, which of you can, by his anxiety, prolong his life one hour?
26 Așadar dacă nu sunteți în stare să faceți nici cel mai mic lucru, de ce vă îngrijorați despre celelalte?
If, therefore, you can not thus effect even the smallest thing, why are you anxious about the rest?
27 Uitați-vă cu atenție la crini cum cresc; nu ostenesc, nu torc; totuși vă spun: Nici Solomon, în toată gloria lui, nu a fost înveșmântat ca unul dintre aceștia.
Consider the lilies. How do they grow? They toil not; they spin not; yet I affirm, that even Solomon, in all his glory, was not equally adorned with one of these.
28 Și dacă astfel îmbracă Dumnezeu iarba din câmp, care astăzi este și mâine este aruncată în cuptor, cu cât mai mult vă va îmbrăca pe voi, puțin credincioșilor.
If, then, God so array the herbage, which to-day is in the field, and to-morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he array you, O you distrustful!
29 Și nu căutați ce veți mânca sau ce veți bea și nici nu vă îndoiți în mintea voastră.
Do not ask, therefore, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; live not in anxious suspense.
30 Fiindcă toate acestea le caută națiunile lumii; dar Tatăl vostru știe că aveți nevoie de acestea.
For all these things the Pagans seeks; whereas, your Father knows that you need them.
31 Mai degrabă, căutați împărăția lui Dumnezeu; și toate acestea vi se vor adăuga.
But seek you the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be superadded to you.
32 Nu te teme, turmă mică, pentru că este buna plăcere a Tatălui vostru să vă dea împărăția.
Fear not, my little flock, for it has pleased your Father to give you the kingdom.
33 Vindeți ce aveți și dați milostenii; faceți-vă pungi care nu se învechesc, un tezaur în ceruri care nu seacă, unde hoțul nu se apropie, nici molia nu distruge.
Sell your goods and give alms; provide yourselves purses which wear not out; treasure inexhaustible in heaven, where no thieves approach, where nothing is spoiled by worms.
34 Fiindcă unde este tezaurul vostru, acolo va fi și inima voastră.
For where your treasure is, your heart will likewise be.
35 Mijlocul să vă fie încins și luminile aprinse;
Let your loins be girt, and your lamps burning;
36 Și voi înșivă [să fiți] asemenea oamenilor care așteaptă pe domnul lor, când se va întoarce de la nuntă; ca atunci când vine și bate, să îi deschidă imediat.
and yourselves, like those who wait their master's return from the wedding; that when he comes and knocks, they may immediately let him in.
37 Binecuvântați sunt acei robi, pe care domnul, când vine, îi va găsi veghind; adevărat vă spun, că se va încinge și îi va pune să șadă la masă și se va apropia și îi va servi.
Happy those servants whom their master, at his return, shall find watching. Indeed, I say to you, that he will gird himself, and having placed them at table, will attend and serve them.
38 Și dacă vine în a doua gardă, sau vine în a treia gardă și îi găsește așa, binecuvântați sunt acei robi.
And whether he comes in the second watch, or in the third, if he finds things thus, happy are those servants.
39 Dar să știți aceasta, că dacă ar fi știut stăpânul casei la ce oră ar veni hoțul, ar fi vegheat și nu ar fi lăsat să îi fie spartă casa.
You are certain that if the master of the house knew at what hour the thief would come, he would watch, and not allow him to break into his house.
40 De aceea și voi fiți pregătiți, pentru că Fiul omului vine într-o oră la care nu vă gândiți.
Be you, then, always prepared; because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you are not expecting him.
41 Atunci Petru i-a spus: Doamne, nouă ne spui această parabolă, sau de asemenea tuturor?
Then Peter said to him, Master, is this parable directed to us alone, or to all?
42 Iar Domnul a spus: Cine așadar, este administratorul credincios și priceput, pe care domnul său îl va face stăpân peste gospodăria sa, să dea porția de mâncare la timpul cuvenit?
The Lord said, Who, now, is the discreet and faithful steward, whom the master will set over his household, to dispense regularly the allowance of corn!
43 Binecuvântat este acel rob, pe care domnul lui, când vine, îl va găsi făcând astfel.
Happy that servant, if his master, at his arrival, shall find him so employed.
44 Adevărat vă spun, că îl va face stăpân peste tot ce are el.
I tell you truly, he will intrust him with the management of all his estate.
45 Dar dacă acel rob spune în inima lui: Domnul meu întârzie să vină; și va începe să îi bată pe servitori și pe servitoare și să mănânce și să bea și să se îmbete,
But as to the servant who shall say within himself, My master delays his return, and shall beat the men-servants and the maids, and shall feast, and carouse, and be drunken;
46 Domnul acelui rob va veni într-o zi în care nu este așteptat și într-o oră pe care robul nu o cunoaște și îl va tăia în două, și îi va da partea lui împreună cu necredincioșii.
the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not expecting him, and at an hour of which he is not apprised, and having discarded him, will assign him his portion with the faithless.
47 Iar acel rob, care a știut voia domnului său și nu s-a pregătit, nici nu a făcut conform cu voia lui, va fi biciuit cu multe lovituri.
And that servant who knew his master's will, yet did not make himself ready, nor execute his orders, shall receive many stripes;
48 Dar cel ce nu a știut și a făcut lucruri demne de lovituri, va fi biciuit cu puține lovituri. Și oricăruia îi este dat mult, i se va cere mult; și cui i s-a încredințat mult, i se va cere mai mult.
whereas, he who knew not, but did things deserving chastisement, shall receive few: for much will be required of every one to whom much is given; and the more a man is intrusted, the more will be exacted from him.
49 Am venit să trimit foc pe pământ; și ce voiesc, dacă este aprins deja?
I came to throw fire upon the earth; and what would I but that it were kindled?
50 Dar am un botez cu care să fiu botezat; și cât sunt de constrâns până să fie împlinit!
I have an immersion to undergo; and how am I pained till it be accomplished?
51 Presupuneți că am venit să dau pace pe pământ? Eu vă spun: Nu; ci mai degrabă dezbinare;
Do you imagine that I am come to give peace to the earth? I tell you, No; but division.
52 Fiindcă, de acum înainte vor fi cinci într-o casă dezbinată, trei împotriva a doi și doi împotriva a trei.
For hereafter, five in one family will be divided; three against two, and two against three:
53 Tatăl va fi dezbinat împotriva fiului și fiul împotriva tatălui; mama împotriva fiicei și fiica împotriva mamei; soacra împotriva nurorii ei și nora împotriva soacrei ei.
father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against mother; mother-in-law against daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.
54 Și a mai spus oamenilor: Când vedeți un nor ridicându-se de la apus, imediat spuneți: Vine ploaia; și așa este.
He said also to the people, When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say, It will rain immediately, and so it happens;
55 Și când suflă vântul de la sud, spuneți: Va fi arșiță; și se întâmplă.
and when the south wind blows, you say, It will be hot, and it happens accordingly.
56 Fățarnicilor, puteți deosebi fața cerului și a pământului; dar cum de nu deosebiți acest timp?
Hypocrites, you can judge of what appears in the sky, and on the earth; how is it that you can not judge of the present time?
57 Și de ce nu judecați chiar de la voi înșivă ce este drept?
and why do you not, even of yourselves, discern what is just?
58 Dar când te duci cu potrivnicul tău la magistrat, pe drum, dă-ți silința să fii eliberat de el; ca nu cumva să te târască la judecător și judecătorul să te predea executorului și executorul să te arunce în închisoare.
When you go with your creditor to the magistrate, endeavor, on the road, to satisfy him, lest he drag you before the judge, and the judge consign you to the sergeant, and the sergeant commit you to prison:
59 Îți spun că nu vei ieși nicidecum de acolo, până nu vei plăti până și ultimul bănuț.
I assure you, you will not be released until you have paid the last mite.
