Leviticul 19
1 Și DOMNUL i-a vorbit lui Moise, zicând:
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
2 Vorbește întregii adunări a copiilor lui Israel și spune-le: Să fiți sfinți, pentru că eu DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru sunt sfânt.
Speak unto all the assembly of the sons of Israel and thou shalt say unto them—Holy, shall ye be, —For holy, am I—Yahweh—your God
3 Fiecare om să se teamă de mama sa și de tatăl său și să țineți sabatele mele: Eu sunt DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru.
Ye shall, every one, revere, his father and his mother, And my sabbaths, shall ye observe, —I—Yahweh, am your God.
4 Nu vă întoarceți la idoli, nici să nu vă faceți dumnezei turnați: Eu sunt DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru.
Do not turn unto things of nought, And, molten gods, shall ye not make to yourselves, —I—Yahweh, am your God.
5 Și dacă aduceți un sacrificiu al ofrandelor de pace DOMNULUI, să îl aduceți din propria voastră voie bună.
And when ye would offer a peace-offering unto Yahweh, ye shall offer it that ye may be accepted.
6 Să fie mâncat în aceeași zi în care îl aduceți și a doua zi; și dacă ar rămâne până în a treia zi, să fie ars în foc.
On the day, ye offer it, shall it be eaten, and on the morrow, —but, that which remaineth until the third day, in fire, shall be consumed.
7 Și dacă se mănâncă din el în a treia zi, este urâciune; să nu fie acceptat.
And, if it, be eaten, on the third day, unclean, it is it shall not be accepted,
8 De aceea oricine care îl mănâncă va purta nelegiuirea sa, deoarece a spurcat lucrul sfințit al DOMNULUI; și acel suflet să fie stârpit din mijlocul poporului său.
But he that eateth it, his iniquity, shall bear, because that which had been hallowed unto Yahweh, hath he profaned, —so then that person shall be cut off from among his kinsfolk.
9 Și când secerați secerișul pământului vostru, să nu seceri în întregime colțurile câmpului tău, nici să nu aduni spicele căzute după secerișul tău.
And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly clear the border of thy field, in reaping, —nor shalt thou gather up the gleaning of thy harvest.
10 Și să nu îți cureți via de boabele căzute, nici să nu strângi fiecare ciorchine din via ta; să le lași pentru cel sărac și pentru cel străin: Eu sunt DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru.
And, thy vineyard, shalt thou not go over again, nor gather, every single grape: for the poor and for the sojourner, shalt thou leave them, I—Yahweh, am your God.
11 Să nu furați, nici să nu vă purtați cu falsitate, nici să nu vă mințiți unul pe celălalt.
Ye shall not steal, —nor deceive nor lie one man to another;
12 Și să nu jurați fals pe numele meu; nici să nu pângărești numele Dumnezeului tău: Eu sunt DOMNUL.
Nor swear by my name falsely, —And so profane the name of thy God: I, am Yahweh.
13 Să nu escrochezi pe aproapele tău, nici să nu îl jefuiești; plățile celui angajat cu ziua să nu rămână la tine toată noaptea până dimineața.
Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbour nor rob [him], —The wages of him that is hired shall not tarry with thee, until the morning.
14 Să nu blestemi pe cel surd, nici să nu pui o piatră de poticnire înaintea celui orb, ci să te temi de Dumnezeul tău: Eu sunt DOMNUL.
Thou shalt not curse the deaf, Nor, before the blind, place a stumbling-block, —So shalt thou stand in awe of thy God I, am Yahweh.
15 Să nu faceți nedreptate în judecată; să nu părtinești pe sărac, nici să nu onorezi persoana celui puternic, ci în dreptate să judeci pe aproapele tău.
Ye shall not act perversely in giving judgment, Thou shalt neither respect the person of the poor, Nor prefer the person of the great, —In righteousness, shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
16 Să nu mergi încolo și încoace ca un bârfitor în mijlocul poporului tău, nici să nu stai împotriva sângelui aproapelui tău: Eu sunt DOMNUL.
Thou shalt not go about talebearing, among thy people Thou shalt not stand by, over the blood of thy neighbour: I, am Yahweh.
17 Să nu urăști pe fratele tău în inima ta; să mustri în vreun fel pe aproapele tău și să nu permiți păcat asupra lui.
Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart, —Thou shalt, faithfully reprove, thy neighbour, and not countenance him in sin:
18 Să nu te răzbuni, nici să nu porți vreo pică împotriva copiilor din poporul tău, ci să iubești pe aproapele tău ca pe tine însuți: Eu sunt DOMNUL.
Thou shalt not take vengeance neither shalt thou cherish anger against the sons of thy people, So shalt thou love thy neighbour as thyself, —I, am Yahweh.
19 Să țineți statutele mele. Să nu lași vitele tale să se împerecheze cu un soi amestecat; să nu semeni câmpul tău cu sămânță amestecată; nici să nu îmbraci vreodată o haină amestecată făcută din fire de in și lână.
My statutes, shall ye observe, Thy beasts, shalt thou not cause to breed in two kinds, Thy field, shalt thou not sow with two sorts of seed, —And a garment woven of diverse threads, shalt thou not suffer to come upon thee.
20 Și oricine se culcă în mod carnal cu o femeie, ce este roabă, legată prin logodnă unui soț și nu este răscumpărată, nici având libertatea dată ei, ea să fie biciuită, ei să nu fie dați morții, deoarece nu era liberă.
And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, she being a bondmaid, acquired for a husband, and neither, redeemed, nor, freedom, given her, inquisition, shall be made they shall not be put to death, because she was not free;
21 Iar el să aducă DOMNULUI ofranda sa pentru fărădelege, la ușa tabernacolului întâlnirii, un berbec ca ofrandă pentru fărădelege.
but he shall bring in his guilt-bearer unto Yahweh, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, —even a ram as a guilt-bearer;
22 Și preotul să facă ispășire pentru el cu berbecul ofrandei pentru fărădelege înaintea DOMNULUI, pentru păcatul lui pe care l-a făcut; și păcatul făcut să îi fie iertat.
and the priest shall put a propitiatory-covering over him with the guilt-bearing ram before Yahweh, on account of his sin which he hath committed, —so shall he have forgiveness, from his sin which he hath committed.
23 Și când veți intra în țară și veți fi sădit tot felul de pomi pentru hrană, să socotiți rodul lor ca necircumcis; trei ani să vă fie ca necircumcis, din acesta să nu se mănânce.
And when ye come into the land, and plant any manner of fruit-tree, then shall ye count as uncircumcised the fruit thereof, three years, shall it be to you as if unclean, it shall not be eaten.
24 Dar în al patrulea an tot rodul lor să fie sfânt pentru a lăuda pe DOMNUL cu el.
But, in the fourth year, all the fruit thereof shall be hallowed for a festival of thanksgiving unto Yahweh.
25 Și în al cincilea an să mâncați din rodul lor, ca să vi se adauge venitul lor: Eu sunt DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru.
And in the fifth year, shall ye eat the fruit thereof, that it may enrich you with its increase, —I—Yahweh, am your God.
26 Să nu mâncați nimic cu sânge; nici să nu folosiți descântarea, nici să nu preziceți timpurile.
Ye shall eat nothing with the blood thereof, —Ye shall not practise divination neither shall ye use magic.
27 Să nu vă rotunjiți colțurile capetelor, nici să nu distrugi colțurile bărbii tale.
Ye shall not shave in a circle around your head, —nor shalt thou disfigure the fringe of thy beard.
28 Să nu faceți niciun fel de tăieturi în carnea voastră pentru morți, nici nu întipăriți niciun fel de semne pe voi: Eu sunt DOMNUL.
Cuttings for a dead person, shall ye not make in your flesh. And punctures in your persons, shall ye not print, —I, am Yahweh.
29 Nu prostitua pe fiica ta, să o faci să fie o curvă; ca nu cumva țara să cadă în curvie și pământul să devină plin de stricăciune.
Do not profane thy daughter by causing her to be unchaste, —lest the land fall to unchastity, and so the land be filled with wickedness.
30 Să țineți sabatele mele și să respectați sanctuarul meu: Eu sunt DOMNUL.
My sabbaths, shall ye observe, And my sanctuary, shall ye revere, —I, am Yahweh.
31 Să nu mergeți la cei ce au demoni, nici la cei ce caută după vrăjitori, ca să vă pângăriți cu ei: Eu sunt DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru.
Do not turn unto mediums, Nor, for oracles, make search, To render yourselves unclean with them, I—Yahweh, am your God.
32 Să te ridici în picioare în fața capului cărunt și să onorezi fața omului bătrân și să te temi de Dumnezeul tău: Eu sunt DOMNUL.
Before a hoary head, shalt thou rise up, And shalt honour the presence of an elder, —So shalt thou stand in awe of thy God—I, am Yahweh.
33 Și dacă un străin locuiește temporar cu tine în țara voastră, să nu îl chinuiți.
And, when there sojourneth with thee a sojourner in your land, ye shall not oppress him:
34 Ci străinul care locuiește cu voi să vă fie ca unul născut printre voi și să îl iubești ca pe tine însuți, pentru că și voi ați fost străini în țara Egiptului: Eu sunt DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru.
As one home born from among yourselves, shall be unto you the sojourner who sojourneth with you, So shalt thou love him as thyself, For, sojourners, became ye, in the land of Egypt, —I—Yahweh, am your God.
35 Să nu faceți nicio nedreptate în judecată, în linia de măsură, în măsurarea greutății, sau în măsurarea lichidelor.
Ye shall not act perversely in giving judgment, —in measures of extent, in weights in measures of capacity:
36 Să aveți balanțe drepte, greutăți drepte, o efă dreaptă și un hin drept: Eu sunt DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru, care v-am scos din țara Egiptului.
Just balances, just weights, a just ephah and a just hin, shall ye have, —I—Yahweh, am your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt.
37 De aceea să țineți toate statutele mele și toate judecățile mele și să le împliniți: Eu sunt DOMNUL.
Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes and all my regulations and do them, —I, am Yahweh.
