Leviticul 17
1 Și DOMNUL i-a vorbit lui Moise, zicând:
And the Lord said to Moses,
2 Vorbește lui Aaron și fiilor săi și tuturor copiilor lui Israel și spune-le: Acesta este lucrul pe care DOMNUL l-a poruncit spunând:
Say to Aaron and to his sons and to all the children of Israel: This is the order which the Lord has given.
3 Orice bărbat din casa lui Israel, care înjunghie un bou sau miel sau capră, în tabără, sau îl înjunghie în afara taberei,
If any man of Israel puts to death an ox or a lamb or a goat, in or outside the tent-circle;
4 Și nu îl aduce la ușa tabernacolului întâlnirii, pentru a aduce un dar DOMNULUI înaintea tabernacolului DOMNULUI, sânge să i se impute acelui bărbat; el a vărsat sânge; și acel bărbat să fie stârpit din mijlocul poporului său;
And has not taken it to the door of the Tent of meeting, to make an offering to the Lord, before the Lord's House, its blood will be on him, for he has taken life, and he will be cut off from among his people:
5 Pentru ca acești copii ai lui Israel să își aducă sacrificiile, pe care le aduce în câmp deschis, da, ca ei să le aducă DOMNULUI, la ușa tabernacolului întâlnirii, la preot și să le ofere ca ofrande de pace DOMNULUI.
So that the children of Israel may take to the Lord, to the door of the Tent of meeting and to the priest, the offerings which they have put to death in the open country, and that they may make their peace-offerings to the Lord.
6 Și preotul să stropească sângele peste altarul DOMNULUI la ușa tabernacolului întâlnirii și să ardă grăsimea pentru o aromă dulce DOMNULUI.
And the priest will put blood on the altar of the Lord at the door of the Tent of meeting, burning the fat for a sweet smell to the Lord.
7 Iar ei să nu mai aducă sacrificiile lor dracilor, după care au curvit. Acesta să le fie un statut pentru totdeauna prin toate generațiile lor.
And let them make no more offerings to evil spirits, after which they have gone, turning away from the Lord. Let this be a law to them for ever, through all their generations.
8 Și să le spui: Orice bărbat din casa lui Israel, sau dintre străinii care locuiesc temporar printre voi, care aduce ofrandă arsă sau un sacrificiu,
And say to them, If any man of Israel, or any other living among them, makes a burned offering or other offering,
9 Și nu îl aduce la ușa tabernacolului întâlnirii, pentru a-l oferi DOMNULUI, chiar acel bărbat să fie stârpit din mijlocul poporului său.
And does not take it to the door of the Tent of meeting to make an offering to the Lord, that man will be cut off from among his people.
10 Și orice bărbat din casa lui Israel, sau dintre străinii care locuiesc temporar printre voi, care mănâncă orice fel de sânge; chiar eu îmi voi întoarce fața împotriva acelui suflet care mănâncă sânge și îl voi stârpi din mijlocul poporului său.
And if any man of Israel, or any other living among them, takes any sort of blood for food, my wrath will be turned against that man and he will be cut off from among his people.
11 Pentru că viața cărnii este în sânge; și vi l-am dat pe altar pentru a se face ispășire pentru sufletele voastre, pentru că sângele este cel ce face ispășire pentru suflet.
For the life of the flesh is in its blood; and I have given it to you on the altar to take away your sin: for it is the blood which makes free from sin because of the life in it.
12 De aceea am spus copiilor lui Israel: Niciun suflet dintre voi să nu mănânce sânge, nici vreun străin care locuiește temporar printre voi să nu mănânce sânge.
For this reason I have said to the children of Israel, No man among you, or any others living with you, may take blood as food.
13 Și orice bărbat dintre copiii lui Israel, sau dintre străinii care locuiesc temporar printre voi, care vânează și prinde orice fiară sau pasăre care poate fi mâncată, chiar el să îi scurgă sângele și să îl acopere cu țărână.
And any man of Israel, or any other living among them, who gets with his bow any beast or bird used for food, is to see that its blood is covered with earth.
14 Pentru că el este viața întregii cărni; sângele acesteia este pentru viața ei; de aceea am spus copiilor lui Israel: Să nu mâncați sânge de la niciun fel de carne, pentru că viața întregii cărni este sângele ei, oricine îl mănâncă să fie stârpit!
For the blood is the life of all flesh: and so I have said to the children of Israel, You may not take any sort of blood as food, and any man who does so will be cut of.
15 Și fiecare suflet care mănâncă ceea ce a murit de la sine, sau care a fost sfâșiat de fiare, fie unul din țara voastră, sau un străin, deopotrivă să își spele hainele și să se îmbăieze în apă și să fie necurat până seara, apoi să fie curat.
And anyone who takes as food anything which has come to a natural end, or anything which has been put to death by beasts, if he is one of you by birth, or of another nation, will have to have his clothing washed and his body bathed in water and be unclean till evening, and then he will be clean.
16 Dar dacă nu le spală, nici nu își îmbăiază carnea, atunci să își poarte propria nelegiuire.
But if his clothing is not washed and his body bathed, his sin will be on him.
