Leviticul 1

1 Și DOMNUL l-a chemat pe Moise și i-a vorbit din tabernacolul întâlnirii, spunând:

Then the Lord called Moses and spoke to him from the tabernacle of the testimony, saying:

2 Vorbește copiilor lui Israel și spune-le: Dacă cineva dintre voi aduce un dar DOMNULUI, să aduceți darul vostru dintre vite, din cireadă și din turmă.

Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: The man among you who will offer to the Lord a sacrifice from the cattle, that is, an offering of victims of oxen or sheep:

3 Dacă darul lui este un sacrificiu ars din cireadă, să aducă o parte bărbătească, fără cusur; să îl aducă după buna sa voie la ușa tabernacolului întâlnirii înaintea DOMNULUI.

if his offering will be a holocaust, as well as from the herd, he shall offer an immaculate male at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, to make himself pleasing to the Lord.

4 Și să își pună mâna pe capul ofrandei arse; și îi va fi primită să facă ispășire pentru el.

And he shall place his hand on the head of the sacrifice, and so it shall be acceptable and effective, in its expiation.

5 Și să înjunghie taurul înaintea DOMNULUI; și preoții, fiii lui Aaron, să aducă sângele și să stropească sângele de jur împrejur pe altarul care este lângă ușa tabernacolului întâlnirii.

And he shall immolate the calf in the sight of the Lord. And the priests, the sons of Aaron, shall offer its blood, pouring it all around the altar, which is before the door of the tabernacle.

6 Și să jupoaie ofranda arsă și să o taie în bucățile ei.

And having pulled away the skin of the victim, they shall cut up the joints into pieces,

7 Și fiii preotului Aaron să pună foc peste altar și să pună lemnele în ordine pe foc;

and they shall toss fire under the altar, having arranged beforehand a stack of wood.

8 Și preoții, fiii lui Aaron, să pună bucățile, capul și grăsimea în ordine peste lemnele care sunt pe focul de pe altar;

And they shall lay the parts which are cut up in order upon it: namely, the head, and all the things that adjoin to the liver,

9 Dar măruntaiele lui și picioarele lui să le spele în apă; și preotul să ardă totul pe altar, pentru a fi un sacrificiu ars, ofrandă făcută prin foc, de o aromă dulce DOMNULUI.

the intestines and feet having been washed with water. And the priest shall burn them on the altar as a holocaust and as a sweet odor to the Lord.

10 Și dacă darul lui este din turme, adică dintre oi, sau dintre capre, pentru un sacrificiu ars, să aducă o parte bărbătească, fără cusur.

But if the offering is from the flocks, a holocaust either of sheep or goats, he shall offer a male without blemish.

11 Și să îl înjunghie pe partea altarului dinspre nord înaintea DOMNULUI; și preoții, fiii lui Aaron, să stropească sângele lui pe altar de jur împrejur.

And he shall immolate it at the side of the altar which looks out toward the north, in the sight of the Lord. Yet truly, the sons of Aaron shall pour its blood upon the altar all around.

12 Și să îl taie în bucățile lui cu capul lui și grăsimea lui; și preotul să le pună în ordine pe lemne, în focul de pe altar;

And they shall divide the limbs, the head, and everything that adjoins to the liver. And they shall place them on the wood, under which the fire is to be thrown.

13 Dar să spele măruntaiele și picioarele cu apă și preotul să le aducă pe toate și să le ardă pe altar; este un sacrificiu ars, ofrandă făcută prin foc, de o aromă dulce DOMNULUI.

Yet truly, the intestines and the feet they shall wash with water. And the priest, having offered everything, shall burn it upon the altar as a holocaust and as a most sweet odor to the Lord.

14 Și dacă sacrificiul ars pentru darul său DOMNULUI este dintre păsări, atunci să aducă darul său dintre turturele, sau dintre porumbei tineri.

But if the oblation of a holocaust to the Lord is of birds, either of turtledoves, or young pigeons,

15 Și preotul să îl aducă la altar și să îi smulgă capul și să îl ardă pe altar; și sângele lui să fie stors la marginea altarului;

the priest shall offer it at the altar: and twisting back the neck with the head, and also rupturing the place of the wound, he shall make the blood run down over the edge of the altar.

16 Și să îi smulgă gușa cu penele ei și să o arunce lângă altar în partea de est, lângă locul cenușii;

Yet truly, the craw of the throat and the feathers he shall cast near the altar at the eastern section, in the place where the ashes are usually poured out.

17 Și să despice pasărea cu aripile ei, dar să nu o împartă în două; și preotul să o ardă pe altar, peste lemnele care sunt în foc; este un sacrificiu ars, ofrandă făcută prin foc, de o aromă dulce DOMNULUI.

And he shall break its wing joints, but he shall neither cut, nor divide it with metal, and he shall burn it upon the altar, placing fire under the wood. It is a holocaust and an oblation of a most sweet odor to the Lord.
