Lamentații 3
1 Eu sunt omul care a văzut necaz prin nuiaua mâniei sale.
I am the man, that hath seene affliction in the rod of his indignation.
2 El m-a condus și m-a adus în întuneric și nu în lumină.
He hath ledde mee, and brought me into darkenes, but not to light.
3 Într-adevăr, împotriva mea s-a întors el; și-a întors mâna împotriva mea, toată ziua.
Surely he is turned against me: he turneth his hand against me all the day.
4 El a făcut carnea și pielea mea să îmbătrânească; mi-a zdrobit oasele.
My flesh and my skinne hath he caused to waxe olde, and he hath broken my bones.
5 El a ridicat un zid împotriva mea și m-a încercuit cu fiere și trudă.
He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall, and labour.
6 El m-a pus în locuri întunecoase, ca pe morții din vechime.
He hath set me in darke places, as they that be dead for euer.
7 El m-a îngrădit, încât nu pot ieși; el mi-a îngreunat lanțul.
He hath hedged about mee, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chaines heauy.
8 De asemenea și când plâng și strig, el îmi oprește rugăciunea.
Also when I cry and showte, hee shutteth out my prayer.
9 El mi-a închis căile cu pietre cioplite, mi-a strâmbat cărările.
He hath stopped vp my wayes with hewen stone, and turned away my paths.
10 El a fost pentru mine ca un urs la pândă și ca un leu în locuri tainice.
He was vnto me as a beare lying in waite, and as a Lion in secret places.
11 El mi-a abătut căile și m-a rupt în bucăți, el m-a pustiit.
He hath stopped my wayes, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.
12 El și-a încordat arcul și m-a pus ca o țintă pentru săgeată.
He hath bent his bow and made me a marke for the arrow.
13 El a făcut ca săgețile tolbei lui să intre în rărunchii mei.
Hee caused the arrowes of his quiuer to enter into my reines.
14 Am fost de râs pentru tot poporul meu și cântecul lor toată ziua.
I was a derision to all my people, and their song all the day.
15 El m-a umplut cu amărăciuni, m-a îmbătat cu pelin.
He hath filled me with bitternes, and made me drunken with wormewood.
16 De asemenea mi-a zdrobit dinții cu pietriș, m-a acoperit cu cenușă.
He hath also broken my teeth with stones, and hath couered me with ashes.
17 Și mi-ai alungat sufletul departe de pace, am uitat prosperitatea.
Thus my soule was farre off from peace: I forgate prosperitie,
18 Și am spus: Tăria mea și speranța mea din DOMNUL, au pierit,
And I saide, My strength and mine hope is perished from the Lord,
19 Amintindu-mi de necazul meu și de nenorocirea mea, de pelin și de fiere.
Remembring mine affliction, and my mourning, the wormewood and the gall.
20 Sufletul meu și le amintește încă și este umilit în mine.
My soule hath them in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
21 De aceasta îmi amintesc, de aceea am speranță.
I consider this in mine heart: therefore haue I hope.
22 Datorită milelor DOMNULUI nu suntem mistuiți, fiindcă mângâierile lui nu se sfârșesc.
It is the Lordes mercies that wee are not consumed, because his compassions faile not.
23 Ele sunt noi în fiecare dimineață; mare este credincioșia ta.
They are renued euery morning: great is thy faithfulnesse.
24 DOMNUL este partea mea, spune sufletul meu; de aceea voi spera în el.
The Lord is my portion, sayth my soule: therefore wil I hope in him.
25 DOMNUL este bun cu cei care îl așteaptă, cu sufletul care îl caută.
The Lord is good vnto them, that trust in him, and to the soule that seeketh him.
26 Este bine ca omul deopotrivă să spere și să aștepte în tăcere salvarea DOMNULUI.
It is good both to trust, and to waite for the saluation of the Lord.
27 Este bine pentru om să poarte jugul în tinerețea sa.
It is good for a man that he beare the yoke in his youth.
28 El șade singur și tace, deoarece și l-a pus asupra lui.
He sitteth alone, and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it vpon him.
29 Își pune gura în țărână; dacă astfel poate fi speranță.
He putteth his mouth in the dust, if there may be hope.
30 El își dă obrazul celui care îl lovește; este îndestulat cu ocară.
Hee giueth his cheeke to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproches.
31 Fiindcă DOMNUL nu va lepăda pentru totdeauna;
For the Lord will not forsake for euer.
32 Dar deși întristează, totuși va avea mângâiere după mulțimea îndurărilor sale.
But though he sende affliction, yet will he haue compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
33 Pentru că el nu își pune inima să chinuiască, nici nu mâhnește pe copiii oamenilor.
For he doeth not punish willingly, nor afflict the children of men,
34 Zdrobirea sub picioare a tuturor prizonierilor pământului,
In stamping vnder his feete all the prisoners of the earth,
35 Abaterea dreptului unui om înaintea feței celui Preaînalt,
In ouerthrowing the right of a man before the face of the most high,
36 Domnul nu aprobă a răsturna pe om în cauza lui.
In subuerting a man in his cause: the Lord seeth it not.
37 Cine este cel ce spune și se împlinește ceva, când Domnul nu poruncește aceasta?
Who is he then that sayth, and it commeth to passe, and the Lord commandeth it not?
38 Nu din gura celui Preaînalt ies răul și binele?
Out of the mouth of the most high proceedeth not euill and good?
39 Pentru ce să se plângă un om care trăiește, un om pentru pedepsirea păcatelor lui?
Wherefore then is the liuing man sorowfull? man suffreth for his sinne.
40 Să ne cercetăm și să ne încercăm căile noastre și să ne întoarcem la DOMNUL.
Let vs search and try our wayes, and turne againe to the Lord.
41 Să ne înălțăm inima cu mâinile noastre spre Dumnezeu în ceruri.
Let vs lift vp our hearts with our handes vnto God in the heauens.
42 Noi am încălcat legea și ne-am răzvrătit; tu nu ai iertat.
We haue sinned, and haue rebelled, therefore thou hast not spared.
43 Tu ai acoperit cu mânie și ne-ai persecutat; ai ucis, nu ai cruțat.
Thou hast couered vs with wrath, and persecuted vs: thou hast slaine and not spared.
44 Te-ai acoperit cu un nor, ca rugăciunea noastră să nu străbată la tine.
Thou hast couered thy selfe with a cloude, that our prayer should not passe through.
45 Ne-ai făcut precum gunoiul și mizeria în mijlocul poporului.
Thou hast made vs as the ofscouring and refuse in the middes of the people.
46 Toți dușmanii noștri și-au deschis gurile împotriva noastră.
All our enemies haue opened their mouth against vs.
47 Frica și cursa au venit peste noi, pustiirea și distrugerea.
Feare, and a snare is come vpon vs with desolation and destruction.
48 Ochiului meu îi curg râuri de apă din cauza nimicirii fiicei poporului meu.
Mine eye casteth out riuers of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49 Ochiul meu toarnă și nu încetează, fără oprire,
Mine eye droppeth without stay and ceaseth not,
50 Până când DOMNUL va privi în jos și va vedea din cer.
Till the Lord looke downe, and beholde from heauen.
51 Ochiul meu îmi influențează inima datorită tuturor fiicelor cetății mele.
Mine eye breaketh mine heart because of all the daughters of my citie.
52 Dușmanii mei m-au urmărit aprig, fără motiv, ca pe o pasăre.
Mine enemies chased me sore like a birde, without cause.
53 Mi-au stârpit viața în groapă și au aruncat o piatră peste mine.
They haue shut vp my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone vpon me.
54 Apele au curs peste capul meu; atunci am spus: Sunt stârpit.
Waters flowed ouer mine head, then thought I, I am destroyed.
55 Am chemat numele tău, DOAMNE, din groapa cea adâncă.
I called vpon thy Name, O Lord, out of the lowe dungeon.
56 Tu mi-ai auzit vocea; nu îți ascunde urechea la suflarea mea, la strigătul meu.
Thou hast heard my voyce: stoppe not thine eare from my sigh and from my cry.
57 Tu te-ai apropiat în ziua când eu te-am chemat; ai spus: Nu te teme.
Thou drewest neere in the day that I called vpon thee: thou saydest, Feare not.
58 Doamne, tu ai pledat în cauzele sufletului meu; mi-ai răscumpărat viața.
O Lord, thou hast maintained the cause of my soule, and hast redeemed my life.
59 DOAMNE, tu ai văzut răul, ce mi s-a făcut; judecă tu cauza mea.
O Lord, thou hast seene my wrong, iudge thou my cause.
60 Ai văzut toată răzbunarea lor și toate închipuirile lor împotriva mea.
Thou hast seene all their vengeance, and all their deuises against me.
61 Ai auzit ocara lor, DOAMNE și închipuirile lor împotriva mea;
Thou hast heard their reproch, O Lord, and all their imaginations against me:
62 Buzele celor care s-au ridicat împotriva mea și planul lor împotriva mea toată ziua.
The lippes also of those that rose against me, and their whispering against me continually.
63 Privește așezarea lor și ridicarea lor; eu sunt muzica lor.
Behold, their sitting downe and their rising vp, how I am their song.
64 Întoarce-le o răsplată, DOAMNE, conform cu lucrarea mâinilor lor.
Giue them a recompence, O Lord, according to the worke of their handes.
65 Dă-le întristare a inimii, blestemul tău asupra lor.
Giue them sorow of heart, euen thy curse to them.
66 Persecută-i și nimicește-i în mânie de sub cerurile DOMNULUI.
Persecute with wrath and destroy them from vnder the heauen, O Lord.
