Joshua 2

1 Și Iosua, fiul lui Nun, a trimis din Sitim doi bărbați să spioneze pe ascuns, spunând: Mergeți să vedeți țara, mai ales Ierihonul. Și au mers și au intrat în casa unei curve, numită Rahab, și au găzduit acolo.

And he sent Joshua [the] son of Nun from Shittim two men spies secretly saying go see the land and Jericho and they went and they went [the] house of a woman a prostitute and name her [was] Rahab and they lay down there.

2 Și i s-a spus împăratului Ierihonului, zicând: Iată, niște bărbați dintre copiii lui Israel au venit aici în această noapte, să cerceteze țara.

And it was told to [the] king of Jericho saying here! men they have come hither this night from [the] people of Israel to spy out the land.

3 Și împăratul Ierihonului a trimis la Rahab, spunând: Scoate pe bărbații care au venit la tine, care au intrat în casa ta, fiindcă au venit să cerceteze toată țara.

And he sent [the] king of Jericho to Rahab saying bring out the men who came to you who they came to house your for to spy out all the land they have come.

4 Și femeia a luat pe cei doi bărbați și i-a ascuns și a spus astfel: Au venit niște bărbați la mine, dar nu știam de unde erau.

And she took the woman [the] two the men and she hid him and she said - right they came to me the men and not I knew from where [were] they.

5 Și s-a întâmplat, pe când se închidea poarta, când era întuneric, că bărbații au ieșit; încotro au luat­-o nu știu. Urmăriți-i repede, fiindcă îi veți ajunge.

And it was the gate [about] to shut at darkness and the men they went out not I know where? did they go the men pursue quickly after them for you will overtake them.

6 Dar ea îi dusese sus pe acoperișul casei și îi ascunsese cu mănunchiurile de in, pe care le așezase în rânduială pe acoperiș.

And she she had taken up them the roof towards and she had hidden them among [the] flax of the tree that had been arranged by her on the roof.

7 Și bărbații i-au urmărit pe calea Iordanului până la vaduri; și imediat ce au ieșit urmăritorii, au închis poarta.

And the men they pursued after them [the] road of the Jordan to the fords and the gate people closed after just when they had gone out the pursuers after them.

8 Și, înainte ca ei să se fi culcat, ea s-a urcat la ei pe acoperiș;

And they not yet they had lain down! and she she went up to them on the roof.

9 Și le-a spus bărbaților: Știu că DOMNUL v-a dat țara și că spaima de voi a căzut peste noi și că toți locuitorii țării se topesc din cauza voastră.

And she said to the men I know that he has given Yahweh to you the land and that it has fallen dread your on us and that they have melted away all [the] inhabitants of the land because of you.

10 Căci noi am auzit cum DOMNUL a secat apa Mării Roșii pentru voi, când ați ieșit din Egipt și ce ați făcut celor doi împărați ai amoriților, care erau dincolo de Iordan, lui Sihon și lui Og, pe care i-ați nimicit de tot.

For we have heard this: he dried up Yahweh [the] waters of [the] sea of reed[s] from before you when came out you from Egypt and [that] which you did to [the] two [the] kings of the Amorite[s] who [was] on [the] other side of the Jordan to Sihon and to Og whom you totally destroyed them.

11 Și imediat ce am auzit aceste lucruri ni s-au topit inimile și nu a mai rămas curaj în vreun om, din cauza voastră; fiindcă DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru, el este Dumnezeu sus în cer și jos pe pământ.

And we heard and it melted heart our and not it arose again spirit in anyone because of you for Yahweh God your he [is] God in the heavens above and on the earth beneath.

12 De aceea acum, vă rog, jurați-mi pe DOMNUL că, deoarece am arătat bunătate față de voi și voi să arătați bunătate față de casa tatălui meu și să îmi dați un semn adevărat,

And therefore swear please to me by Yahweh for I have done with you loyalty and you will do also you with [the] household of father my loyalty and you will give to me a sign of faithfulness.

13 Și că veți lăsa vii pe tatăl meu și pe mama mea și pe frații mei și pe surorile mele și tot ceea ce au și că ne veți salva viețile de la moarte.

And you will let live father my and mother my and brothers my and (sisters my *Q(K)*) and all who [belong] to them and you will deliver lives our from death.

14 Și bărbații i-au răspuns: Viața noastră pentru a voastră, dacă nu faceți cunoscut acest lucru al nostru. Și va fi astfel: când DOMNUL ne va fi dat țara, ne vom purta cu bunătate și cu adevăr față de tine.

And they said to her the men life our for you to die if not you will tell business our this and it will be when gives Yahweh to us the land and we will do with you loyalty and faithfulness.

15 Apoi i-a coborât cu o funie pe fereastră, deoarece casa ei era pe zidul cetății și ea locuia pe zid.

And she let down them with rope through the window for house her [was] in [the] wall of the city wall and in the city wall she [was] dwelling.

16 Și le-a spus: Mergeți la munte, ca nu cumva să vă întâlnească urmăritorii; și ascundeți-vă acolo trei zile, până când urmăritorii se întorc; și după aceea mergeți pe drumul vostru.

And she said to them the hill country towards go lest they should meet you the pursuers and you will hide yourselves there three days until return the pursuers and after you will go to way your.

17 Și bărbații i-au spus: Astfel vom fi dezlegați de acest jurământ al tău pe care ne-ai pus să îl jurăm:

And they said to her the men [will be] free we from oath your this which you made swear us.

18 Iată, când intrăm în țară, să legi frânghia aceasta de fir stacojiu la fereastra prin care ne-ai coborât; și să aduci acasă la tine pe tatăl tău și pe mama ta și pe frații tăi și toată casa tatălui tău.

Here! we [are] about to come in the land [the] cord of [the] thread of the scarlet this you will bind in the window which you let down us in it and father your and mother your and brothers your and all [the] household of father your you will gather to you the house towards.

19 Și va fi, că oricine va ieși pe ușile casei tale în stradă, sângele său va fi asupra capului său și noi vom fi nevinovați; și oricine va fi cu tine în casă, sângele său va fi asupra capului nostru, dacă cineva pune mâna pe el.

And it will be every [one] who he will go out from [the] doors of house your - the outside towards blood his [will be] on own head his and we [will be] free and every [one] who he will be with you in the house blood his [will be] on head our if a hand it will be on him.

20 Dacă faci cunoscut acest lucru al nostru, atunci vom fi dezlegați de jurământul pe care ne-ai pus să îl jurăm.

And if you will tell business our this and we will be free from oath your which you made swear us.

21 Și ea a spus: Să fie conform cuvintelor voastre. Și ea i-a trimis iar ei au plecat. Și ea a legat frânghia stacojie la fereastră.

And she said according to words your [be] so it and she sent off them and they went and she bound [the] cord of the scarlet in the window.

22 Iar ei au mers și au ajuns la munte și au rămas acolo trei zile, până când s-au întors urmăritorii; și urmăritorii i-au căutat pe tot drumul, dar nu i-au găsit.

And they went and they came the hill country towards and they remained there three days until they returned the pursuers and they searched the pursuers in all the way and not they found [them].

23 Și cei doi bărbați s-au întors și au coborât din munte și au trecut și au venit la Iosua, fiul lui Nun, și i-au spus tot ce li s-a întâmplat.

And they returned [the] two the men and they went down from the hill country and they passed over and they came to Joshua [the] son of Nun and they recounted to him all the [things that] had found with them.

24 Și i-au spus lui Iosua: Cu adevărat DOMNUL a dat în mâinile noastre toată țara, fiindcă toți locuitorii țării se topesc din cauza noastră.

And they said to Joshua that he has given Yahweh in hand our all the land and also they have melted away all [the] inhabitants of the land because of us.
