Joshua 15

1 Acesta a fost sorțul tribului copiilor lui Iuda după familiile lor, până la granița cu Edom, pustiul Țin, spre sud, era cel mai îndepărtat ținut dinspre sud.

So then the boundary of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families, —reached unto the boundary of Edom, the desert of Zin southward, on the extreme south;

2 Și granița lor dinspre sud era de la țărmul Mării Sărate, de la golful care se întoarce spre sud;

so their south boundary beginneth at the end of the Salt Sea, —from the bay that turneth to the south;

3 Și ieșea dinspre sud la Maal-Acrabim și trecea până la Țin și se urca pe la sud spre Cades-Barnea și trecea la Hețron și urca spre Adar și face o rotire până la Carca.

and goeth forth on the south of the cliffs of Akrabbim, and crosseth over to Zin, and goeth up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, —and passeth over by Hezron, and goeth up to Addar, and turneth round to Karka;

4 Și trecea spre Ațmon și ieșea la râul Egiptului; și ieșirile acelui ținut erau la mare. Acesta să fie ținutul vostru spre sud.

and passeth over to Azmon, and goeth forth at the ravine of Egypt, and so the extensions of the boundary are to the sea. This, shall be your south boundary.

5 Și marginea de est era Marea Sărată până la capătul Iordanului. Și marginea dinspre partea de nord era de la golful mării care este la capătul Iordanului;

And, a boundary eastward, is the Salt Sea, as far as the end of the Jordan. And, the boundary on the north side, is from the bay of the sea, from the end of the Jordan.

6 Și granița urca spre Bet-Hogla și trecea spre nord de Bet-Araba; și granița se urca până la piatra lui Bohan, fiul lui Ruben;

And the boundary goeth up Beth-hoglah, and passeth over, on the north, by Beth-arabah, —and the boundary goeth up by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;

7 Și granița urca spre Debir, de la valea lui Acor, și se întorcea spre nord spre Ghilgal, care este în dreptul urcării Adumim, care este la sud de râu; și granița trecea spre apele din En-Șemeș și ieșirile erau la En-Roguel;

and the boundary goeth up towards Debir, out of the vale of Achor, then northward, turning unto Gilgal, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the ravine, —then the boundary passeth over unto the waters of En-shemesh, and so the extensions thereof are unto En-rogel:

8 Și granița urca pe valea fiului lui Hinom către latura de sud a Iebusului, care este Ierusalimul; și granița se urca până la vârful muntelui care este în fața văii lui Hinom spre vest, care este la capătul văii uriașilor, spre nord.

then ascendeth the boundary by the valley of the son of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite, on the south, the same, is Jerusalem, —and the boundary goeth up unto the top of the mountain which faceth the valley of Hinnom, to the west, which is at the end of the Vale of Giants, northwards;

9 Și granița a fost trasă de la vârful muntelui până la fântâna Neftoah și ieșea spre cetățile muntelui Efron; și granița a fost trasă prin Baala, care este Chiriat-Iearim;

and the boundary turneth round, from the top of the mountain, unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and goeth out unto the cities of Mount Ephron, —then the boundary turneth round to Baalah, the same, is Kiriath-jearim;

10 Și granița înconjura de la Baala spre vest până la muntele Seir și trecea spre latura muntelui Iearim, care este Chesalon, spre partea de nord și cobora la Bet-Șemeș și trecea pe la Timna.

then the boundary goeth round from Baalah westward, unto Mount Seir, and passeth over unto the slope of Mount Yearim, on the north, the same, is Chesalon, —and descendeth Bethshemesh, and passeth over Timnah;

11 Și granița ieșea la latura Ecronului spre nord; și granița a fost trasă spre Șicron și trecea de muntele Baala și ieșea spre Iabneel; și ieșirile ținutului erau la mare.

then the boundary goeth forth unto the side of Ekron, northward, then the boundary turneth round towards Shikkeron, and crosseth over Mount Baalah, and goeth out at Jabneel, —and the extensions of the boundary are to the sea.

12 Și granița de vest era Marea cea Mare și țărmul ei. Acesta este ținutul copiilor lui Iuda, de jur-împrejur după familiile lor.

And, as a west boundary, are the great sea and coast. This, is the boundary of the sons of Judah, round about, by their families.

13 Și lui Caleb, fiul lui Iefune, i-a dat o parte între copiii lui Iuda, conform poruncii DOMNULUI către Iosua, adică cetatea lui Arba, tatăl lui Anac, care este Hebron.

And, to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, gave he a portion, in the midst of the sons of Judah, at the bidding of Yahweh, by Joshua, —even the City of Arba, father of Anak, the same, is Hebron.

14 Și Caleb a alungat de acolo pe cei trei fii ai lui Anac: pe Șeșai și pe Ahiman și pe Talmai, copiii lui Anac.

And Caleb dispossessed from thence, the three sons of Anak, —Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.

15 Și de acolo s-a urcat la locuitorii Debirului; iar numele Debirului mai înainte era Chiriat-Sefer.

And he went up from thence, against the inhabitants of Debir, —now, the name of Debir, formerly, was Kiriath-sepher.

16 Și Caleb a spus: Celui care va bate Chiriat-Seferul și îl va lua îi voi da de soție pe Acsa, fiica mea.

Then said Caleb, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and captureth it, I will give unto him Achsah, my daughter, to wife.

17 Și Otniel, fiul lui Chenaz, fratele lui Caleb, l-a luat; iar el i-a dat de soție pe fiica sa, Acsa.

And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured it, —so he gave unto him Achsah, his daughter, to wife.

18 Și s-a întâmplat, când a venit ea la el, că l-a provocat să ceară de la tatăl ei un câmp; și ea s-a dat jos de pe măgar; și Caleb i-a spus: Ce voiești?

And it came to pass, when she came, that she moved him to ask of her father a field, and, when she alighted from off the ass, Caleb said unto her—What aileth thee?

19 Iar ea a răspuns: Dă-mi o binecuvântare, fiindcă mi-ai dat un pământ din sud, dă-mi și izvoare de apă. Și i-a dat izvoarele de sus și izvoarele de jos.

And she said—Give me a present, for, dry land, hast thou given me, therefore must thou give me, pools of water. So he gave her upper pools and lower pools.

20 Aceasta este moștenirea tribului copiilor lui Iuda, după familiile lor.

This, is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families.

21 Și cetățile din partea cea mai depărtată a copiilor lui Iuda, către ținutul Edomului, dinspre sud, au fost Cabțeel și Eder și Iagur,

And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the sons of Judah, towards the boundary of Edom in the south, were, —Kabzeel and Eder, and Jagur,

22 Și Kinah și Dimona și Adada,

and Kinah and Dimonah, and Adadah, —

23 Și Chedeș și Hațor și Itnan,

and Kedesh and Hazor, and Ithnan,

24 Și Zif și Telem și Bealot,

Ziph and Talem, and Bealoth,

25 Și Hațor, Hadata și Cheriot și Hețron, care este Hațor,

and Hazor-hadattah and Kerioth-hezron, the same, is Hazor;

26 Amam și Șema și Molada,

Amam and Shema, and Moladah,

27 Și Hațar-Gada și Heșmon și Bet-Palet,

and Hazar-gaddah and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet.

28 Și Hațar-Șual și Beer-Șeba și Biziotia,

and Hazarshual and Beer-sheba, with the hamlets thereof,

29 Baala și Iim și Ațem;

Baalah and Iyyim, and Ezem,

30 Și Eltolad și Chesil și Horma,

and Eltolad and Chesil, and Hormah,

31 Și Țiclag și Madmana și Sansana,

and Ziklag and Madmannah, and Sansannah,

32 Și Lebaot și Șilhim și Ain și Rimon; toate cetățile sunt douăzeci și nouă, cu satele lor.

and Lebaoth and Shilhim, and En-rimmon, —all the cities are twenty-nine, with their villages.

33 Și în vale erau Eștaol și Țoreea și Așna,

In the lowland, —Eshtaol and Zorah, and Ashnah,

34 Și Zanoah și En-Ganim, Tapuah și Enam,

and Zanoah and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;

35 Și Iarmut și Adulam, Soco și Azeca,

Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;

36 Și Șaaraim și Aditaim și Ghedera și Ghederotaim; paisprezece cetăți cu satele lor.

and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim, —fourteen cities, with their villages.

37 Țenan și Hadașa și Migdal-Gad,

Zenan and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,

38 Și Dilean și Mițpa și Iocteel,

and Dilan and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,

39 Lachis și Boțcat și Eglon,

Lachish and Bozkath, and Eglon,

40 Și Cabon și Lahmam și Chitliș,

and Cabbon and Lahmas, and Chithlish,

41 Și Ghederot și Bet-Dagon și Naama și Macheda; șaisprezece cetăți cu satele lor.

and Gederoth, Beth-dagon and Naamah, and Makkedah, —sixteen cities, with their villages.

42 Libna și Eter și Așan,

Libnah and Ether, and Ashan,

43 Și Iiftah și Așna și Nețib,

and Iphtah and Ashnah, and Nezib,

44 Și Cheila și Aczib și Mareșa; nouă cetăți cu satele lor.

and Keilah and Achzib, and Mareshah, —nine cities, with their villages.

45 Ecron cu orașele sale și satele sale.

Ekron with her towns, and her villages.

46 De la Ecron până la mare, toate vecinătățile Asdodului cu satele lor;

From Ekron, even unto the sea, —all that were by the side of Ashdod with their villages.

47 Asdod cu orașele sale și satele sale; Gaza cu orașele sale și satele sale, până la râul Egiptului și marea cea mare și malul ei.

Ashdod, her towns and her villages. Gaza, her towns and her villages, as far as the ravine of Egypt, —and the great sea and coast.

48 Și în munți: Șamir și Iatir și Soco,

And in the hill-country, —Shamir and Jattir, and Socoh,

49 Și Dana și Chiriat-Sana, care este Debir,

and Dannah and Kiriath-sannah, the same, is Debir,

50 Și Anab și Eștemo și Anim,

and Anab and Eshtemoh, and Anim,

51 Și Gosen și Holon și Ghilo; unsprezece cetăți cu satele lor;

and Goshen and Holon, and Giloh, —eleven cities, with their villages.

52 Arab și Duma și Eșean,

Arab and Rumah and Eshan,

53 Și Ianum și Bet-Tapuah și Afeca,

and Janim and Beth-tappuah and Aphekah,

54 Și Humta și Chiriat-Arba, care este Hebron și Țior; nouă cetăți cu satele lor.

and Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, the same, is Hebron, and Zior, —nine cities, with their villages.

55 Maon, Carmel și Zif și Iuta,

Maon, Carmel, and Ziph and Jutah,

56 Și Izreel și Iocdeam și Zanoah,

and Jezreel and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,

57 Cain, Ghibea și Timna; zece cetăți și satele lor.

Kain, Gibeah and Timnah, —ten cities, with their villages.

58 Halhul, Bet-Țur și Ghedor,

Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,

59 Și Maarat și Bet-Anot și Eltecon; șase cetăți cu satele lor;

and Maarath and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon, —six cities, with their villages.

60 Chiriat-Baal, care este Chiriat-Iearim și Raba; două cetăți cu satele lor.

Kiriath-baal, the same, is Kiriath-jearim, and Rabbah, —two cities, with their villages.

61 În pustiu: Bet-Araba, Midin și Secaca,

In the desert, —Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,

62 Și Nibșan și cetatea sării și En-Ghedi; șase cetăți cu satele lor.

and Nibshan and the City of Salt, and En-gedi, —six cities, with their villages.

63 Cât despre iebusiți care locuiau în Ierusalim, copiii lui Iuda, nu au putut să îi alunge; și iebusiții locuiesc cu copiii lui Iuda în Ierusalim până în această zi.

But, as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not dispossess them, —so the Jebusites have dwelt with the sons of Judah, in Jerusalem, until this day.
