Ioan 5
1 După acestea a fost o sărbătoare a iudeilor; și Isus s-a urcat la Ierusalim.
After these things, was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up unto Jerusalem.
2 Și era în Ierusalim, lângă piața oilor, o scăldătoare, care se numește în evreiește Betesda, având cinci arcade.
Now there is in Jerusalem, at the Sheep-gate, a pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethzatha, —having, five porches.
3 În acestea zăcea o mulțime mare de neputincioși, orbi, șchiopi, uscați, așteptând mișcarea apei.
In these, was lying a throng of them who were sick, —blind, lame, withered.
4 Fiindcă un înger se cobora la un anumit timp în scăldătoare și tulbura apa; și cine intra primul după tulburarea apei era făcut sănătos de orice boală avea.
5 Și acolo era un anumit om care era în neputință de treizeci și opt de ani.
And there was a certain man there, who, for thirty-eight years, had continued in his sickness.
6 Isus, când l-a văzut zăcând și știind că era așa de mult timp, i-a spus: Voiești să fii făcut sănătos?
Jesus, seeing, this one, lying, and taking note that now, a long time, had he continued, saith unto him—Desirest thou to be made, well?
7 Neputinciosul i-a răspuns: Domnule, nu am pe nimeni să mă bage în scăldătoare când se tulbură apa; iar până să mă duc eu, se coboară altul înaintea mea.
The sick man answered him—Sir! I have, no man, that, as soon as the water hath been troubled, might thrust me into the pool; but, while, I, am coming, another, before me, goeth down.
8 Isus i-a spus: Ridică-te, ia-ți patul și umblă.
Jesus saith unto him—Rise! take up thy couch, and be walking.
9 Și îndată omul s-a făcut sănătos și și-a luat patul și umbla; însă în ziua aceea era sabatul.
And, straightway, the man was made well and took up his couch, and began to walk. Now it was Sabbath, on that day.
10 De aceea iudeii au spus celui ce fusese vindecat: Este sabatul; nu îți este legiuit să îți iei patul.
The Jews, therefore, were saying, unto him who had been cured—It is, Sabbath; and it is not allowable for thee to take up thy couch: —
11 El le-a răspuns: Cel ce m-a făcut sănătos, acela mi-a spus: Ia-ți patul și umblă.
who, however, answered them—He that made me well, he, unto me, said—Take up thy couch, and be walking.
12 Atunci l-au întrebat: Cine este omul care ți-a spus: Ia-ți patul și umblă?
They questioned him—Who is the man that said unto thee, Take up [thy couch], and be walking?
13 Dar cel vindecat nu știa cine era; fiindcă Isus se retrăsese la o parte, fiind o mulțime în locul acela.
But, the healed one, knew not, who, it was; for, Jesus, had turned aside, a multitude, being in the place.
14 După acestea Isus l-a găsit în templu și i-a spus: Iată, ești făcut sănătos; nu mai păcătui, ca nu cumva să ți se întâmple ceva mai rău.
After these things, Jesus findeth him, in the temple, and said unto him—See! thou hast become, well: —No more, be committing sin, lest, some worse thing, do thee befall.
15 Omul s-a dus și a spus iudeilor că era Isus care l-a făcut sănătos.
The man went away, and told the Jews, that it was, Jesus, who had made him well.
16 Și de aceea iudeii îl persecutau pe Isus și căutau să îl ucidă, pentru că a făcut acestea în sabat.
And, on this account, were the Jews persecuting Jesus, because, these things, he had been doing, on Sabbath.
17 Dar Isus le-a răspuns: Tatăl meu lucrează până acum; și eu lucrez.
But, he, answered them—My Father, until even now, is working; and, I, am working.
18 Din această cauză iudeii căutau și mai mult să îl ucidă, nu numai pentru că încălcase sabatul, dar și spunea că Dumnezeu este Tatăl său, făcându-se egal cu Dumnezeu.
On this account, therefore, the rather, were the Jews seeking to slay him, —because, not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but was calling God, his own Father, making, himself, equal, with, God.
19 Atunci Isus a răspuns și le-a zis: Adevărat, adevărat vă spun: Fiul nu poate face nimic de la el însuși, decât ce vede pe Tatăl făcând; fiindcă oricâte face el, pe acestea și Fiul le face la fel.
Jesus, therefore, answered, and went on to say unto them—Verily, verily, I say unto you: The Son cannot be doing, of himself, a single thing, —save anything he may see, the Father, doing; for, whatsoever, he, may be doing, these things, the Son also, in like manner, doeth.
20 Fiindcă Tatăl iubește pe Fiul și îi arată tot ce face el; și îi va arăta fapte mai mari decât acestea, ca voi să vă minunați.
For, the Father, dearly loveth the Son, and, all things, pointeth out to him, which, himself, is doing; and, greater works than these, will he point out to him, that, ye, may marvel.
21 Fiindcă precum Tatăl îi învie pe morți și dă viață, tot așa și Fiul dă viață cui voiește.
For, just as the Father waketh up the dead, and quickeneth them, in like manner, the Son also, whom he pleaseth, doth quicken.
22 Fiindcă Tatăl nu judecă pe nimeni, ci a încredințat toată judecata Fiului,
For neither doth, the Father, judge anyone, —but, all the judging, hath given unto the Son:
23 Ca toți să onoreze pe Fiul, așa cum onorează pe Tatăl. Cine nu onorează pe Fiul, nu onorează pe Tatăl care l-a trimis.
That, all, may honour the Son, just as they honour the Father: he that doth not honour the Son, doth not, in fact, honour the Father who sent him.
24 Adevărat, adevărat vă spun: Cine aude cuvântul meu și crede în cel ce m-a trimis, are viață veșnică și nu vine în condamnare, ci a trecut din moarte la viață. (aiōnios g166)
Verily, verily, I say unto you: He that heareth, my word, and believeth in him that sent me, hath life age-abiding, and, into judgment, cometh not, but hath passed over, out of death into life. (aiōnios g166)
25 Adevărat, adevărat vă spun: Vine timpul și acum este, când morții vor auzi vocea Fiului lui Dumnezeu; și cei ce aud, vor trăi.
Verily, verily, I say unto you: There cometh an hour, and now is, when, the dead, shall hearken unto the voice of the Son of God, and, they who have hearkened, shall live.
26 Fiindcă, așa cum Tatăl are viață în el însuși, tot așa a dat Fiului să aibă viață în el însuși.
For, just as, the Father, hath life, in himself, in like manner, unto the Son also, hath he given, life, to have, in himself;
27 Și i-a dat de asemenea autoritate pentru a face judecată, pentru că este Fiul omului.
And, authority, hath he given him, to be executing, judgment, —because, Son of Man, is he!
28 Nu vă minunați de aceasta, pentru că vine timpul în care toți cei din morminte vor auzi vocea lui,
Do not be marvelling at this: because there come an hour, in which, all they in the tombs, shall hearken unto his voice,
29 Și vor ieși afară; cei ce au făcut binele, pentru învierea vieții; iar cei ce au practicat cele rele, pentru învierea damnării.
and shall come forth, —they who, the good things, have done, unto a resurrection, of life; but, they who the corrupt things, have practised, unto a resurrection, of judgment.
30 Eu nu pot face nimic de la mine însumi; cum aud judec, și judecata mea este dreaptă pentru că nu caut voia mea, ci voia Tatălui, care m-a trimis.
I, cannot be doing, of myself, a single thing, —Just as I hear, I judge; and, my judging, is, just, —because I seek not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.
31 Dacă eu aduc mărturie despre mine, mărturia mea nu este adevărată.
If, I, bear witness, concerning myself, my witness, is not, true.
32 Este altul care aduce mărturie despre mine și știu că mărturia pe care o aduce despre mine este adevărată.
Another, it is, who beareth witness concerning me, —and I know that, true, is the witness which he witnesseth concerning me.
33 Voi ați trimis la Ioan și el a adus mărturie adevărului.
Ye, have sent forth unto John, —and he hath borne witness to the truth: —
34 Dar eu nu primesc mărturie de la om; ci spun acestea ca voi să fiți salvați.
I, however, not from man, my witness, receive; but, these things, I say, that, ye, may be saved: —
35 El era o lumină aprinsă și strălucitoare, și voi ați voit să vă veseliți pentru un timp în lumina lui.
He, was the burning and shining lamp, and, ye, were willing to exult, for an hour, in his light.
36 Dar eu am o mărturie mai mare decât a lui Ioan; fiindcă faptele pe care mi le-a dat Tatăl să le împlinesc, aceste fapte pe care le fac eu, aduc mărturie despre mine că Tatăl m-a trimis.
But, I, have, as my witness, something greater than John’s; for, the works which the Father hath given me, that I should complete them, —the works themselves which I am doing, bear witness concerning me, that, the Father, hath sent me.
37 Și Tatăl însuși, care m-a trimis, a adus mărturie despre mine. Voi nu i-ați auzit niciodată vocea, nici nu i-ați văzut chipul.
And so, the Father who sent me, he, hath borne witness concerning me; Neither, a sound of him, at any time, have ye heard, nor, a form of him, have ye seen;
38 Și cuvântul lui nu îl aveți rămânând în voi, pentru că pe cel ce l-a trimis el, pe el nu îl credeți voi.
And, his word, ye have not, within you abiding—because, as touching him whom, he, sent, in him, ye, believe not.
39 Cercetați scripturile, pentru că voi gândiți că în ele aveți viață eternă; și ele sunt cele care aduc mărturie despre mine. (aiōnios g166)
Ye search the Scriptures, because, ye, think, by them, to have, life age-abiding; and, those [Scriptures], are they which bear witness concerning me: (aiōnios g166)
40 Și nu voiți să veniți la mine ca să aveți viață.
And yet ye choose not to come unto me, that, life, ye may have.
41 Nu primesc onoare de la oameni.
Glory from men, am I not receiving; —
42 Dar vă știu că nu aveți în voi dragostea lui Dumnezeu.
But I have taken knowledge of you, that, the love of God, ye have not, in yourselves: —
43 Am venit în numele Tatălui meu și nu mă primiți; dacă va veni altul în propriul lui nume, îl veți primi.
I, have come, in the name of my Father, —and ye are not receiving me: If, another, shall come in his own name, him, ye will receive!
44 Cum puteți crede voi care primiți onoare unii de la alții și nu căutați onoarea care vine doar de la Dumnezeu?
How can, ye, believe, —Glory from one another, receiving; and, the glory which is from the only God, are not seeking?
45 Să nu gândiți că eu vă voi acuza înaintea Tatălui. Este cine să vă acuze, Moise, în care vă încredeți.
Do not think that, I, will accuse you unto the Father: There, is, who accuseth you, even, Moses, —on whom, ye, have set your hope.
46 Fiindcă, dacă l-ați fi crezut pe Moise, m-ați fi crezut pe mine; fiindcă el a scris despre mine.
For, if ye had been believing, in Moses, ye would, in that case, have been believing, in me: for, concerning me, he wrote.
47 Dar dacă nu credeți scrierile lui, cum veți crede cuvintele mele?
But, if, in his writings, ye are not believing, how, in my sayings, will ye believe?
