Ioan 21
1 După acestea Isus s-a arătat din nou discipolilor la marea Tiberiadei și s-a arătat astfel.
After this Jesus again manifested himself to the disciples, by the Sea of Tiberias. He manifested himself in this way:
2 Erau împreună Simon Petru și Toma, numit Didumos, și Natanael din Cana Galileii, și fiii lui Zebedei, și alți doi dintre discipolii lui.
Simon Peter, Thomas (called Didymus), Nathanael (from Cana of Galilee), the sons of Zebedee, and two of Jesus' other disciples were together.
3 Simon Petru le-a spus: Mă duc să pescuiesc. Iar ei i-au spus: Venim și noi cu tine. Au plecat și au intrat imediat într-o corabie; dar, în acea noapte, nu au prins nimic.
Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with yoʋ.” So they immediately went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
4 Dar pe când s-a făcut dimineață, Isus stătea în picioare pe țărm; dar discipolii nu știau că era Isus.
When daybreak came, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not know it was Jesus.
5 Atunci Isus le-a spus: Copilașilor, aveți ceva de mâncare? Iar ei i-au răspuns: Nu.
Jesus said to them, “Children, have you caught any fish to eat?” They answered him, “No.”
6 Iar el le-a spus: Aruncați plasa în partea dreaptă a corăbiei și veți găsi. De aceea au aruncat-o și nu o mai puteau trage de mulțimea peștilor.
He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it and were unable to draw it in because of the large number of fish.
7 De aceea discipolul acela, pe care îl iubea Isus, i-a spus lui Petru: Este Domnul. Simon Petru, auzind așadar că este Domnul, s-a încins cu haina de pescar (fiindcă era gol) și s-a aruncat în mare.
Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had taken it off) and plunged into the sea.
8 Și ceilalți discipoli au venit cu o corăbioară, trăgând plasa cu pești, (pentru că nu erau departe de uscat, ci cam la două sute de coți).
But the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, only about a hundred yards away.
9 Imediat ce au ajuns pe uscat, au văzut acolo foc de cărbuni și pește pus deasupra și pâine.
When they had gone ashore, they saw a charcoal fire there with a fish lying on it, and bread.
10 Isus le-a spus: Aduceți din peștii pe care i-ați prins acum.
Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.”
11 Simon Petru s-a urcat și a tras plasa pe uscat, plină de pești mari, o sută cincizeci și trei; și, deși erau atâția, nu s-a rupt plasa.
So Simon Peter went aboard and drew the net ashore, full of large fish, one hundred fifty-three of them. Although there were so many, the net had not torn.
12 Isus le-a spus: Veniți, mâncați. Și niciunul dintre discipoli nu cuteza să îl întrebe: Cine ești? știind că este Domnul.
Then Jesus said to them, “Come eat breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are yoʋ?” because they knew it was the Lord.
13 Atunci Isus a venit și a luat pâinea și le-a dat-o, și peștele la fel.
Then Jesus came, took the bread, and gave it to them. He did likewise with the fish.
14 Aceasta a fost a treia oară când s-a arătat Isus discipolilor săi, după ce a înviat dintre morți.
This was now the third time that Jesus had been revealed to his disciples after he had been raised from the dead.
15 Și după ce au mâncat, Isus i-a spus lui Simon Petru: Simone, fiul lui Iona, mă iubești tu mai mult decât aceștia? El i-a spus: Da, Doamne; tu știi că te iubesc. Isus i-a spus: Paște mielușeii mei.
When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do yoʋ love me more than these?” Peter said to him, “Yes, Lord, yoʋ know that I care for yoʋ.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my lambs.”
16 I-a spus din nou a doua oară: Simone, fiul lui Iona, mă iubești? El i-a spus: Da, Doamne; știi că te iubesc. El i-a spus: Paște oile mele.
Jesus said to him a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do yoʋ love me?” Peter said to him, “Yes, Lord, yoʋ know that I care for yoʋ.” Jesus said to him, “Tend my sheep.”
17 El i-a spus a treia oară: Simone, fiul lui Iona, mă iubești tu? Petru s-a mâhnit că îi spusese a treia oară: Mă iubești? Și i-a spus: Doamne, tu toate le știi; tu știi că te iubesc. Isus i-a spus: Paște oile mele.
Then Jesus said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do yoʋ care for me?” Peter was grieved that Jesus said to him the third time, “Do yoʋ care for me?” And he said to him, “Lord, yoʋ know everything; yoʋ know that I care for yoʋ.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.
18 Adevărat, adevărat îți spun: Când erai tânăr, te încingeai singur și umblai unde voiai; dar când vei fi bătrân, îți vei întinde mâinile și altul te va încinge și te va duce unde nu voiești.
Truly, truly, I say to yoʋ, when yoʋ were younger, yoʋ would dress yoʋrself and walk wherever yoʋ wanted to go; but when yoʋ grow old, yoʋ will stretch out yoʋr hands, and another will dress yoʋ and bring yoʋ where yoʋ do not want to go.”
19 A spus aceasta, arătând cu ce moarte îl va glorifica pe Dumnezeu. Și după ce a spus aceasta, i-a zis: Urmează-mă.
(He said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God.) After saying this, he said to Peter, “Follow me.”
20 Atunci Petru, întorcându-se, l-a văzut venind în urmă pe discipolul pe care îl iubea Isus și care se rezemase la cină pe pieptul lui și care spusese: Doamne, cine este cel ce te trădează?
Then Peter turned around and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them (the one who had leaned back on Jesus' chest at the supper and said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray yoʋ?”)
21 Petru, văzându-l, i-a spus lui Isus: Doamne, dar cu acesta ce va fi?
When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about him?”
22 Isus i-a spus: Dacă voiesc ca el să rămână în viață până vin eu, ce îți pasă? Tu, urmează-mă.
Jesus said to him, “If I wish for him to remain until I come, what is that to yoʋ? Yoʋ follow me!”
23 Atunci, a ieșit cuvântul acesta printre frați, că discipolul acela nu va muri; dar Isus nu a spus că nu va muri, ci: Dacă voiesc ca el să rămână în viață până vin eu, ce îți pasă?
So the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not tell him that he would not die; he only said, “If I wish for him to remain until I come, what is that to yoʋ?”
24 Acesta este discipolul care aduce mărturie despre acestea și a scris acestea; și știm că mărturia lui este adevărată.
This is the disciple who is testifying about these things and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.
25 Și sunt de asemenea multe alte lucruri pe care le-a făcut Isus, care, dacă s-ar fi scris unul câte unul, presupun că nici chiar lumea însăși nu ar putea cuprinde cărțile ce ar fi scrise. Amin!
There are also many other things that Jesus did. If every one of them were to be written down, I suppose that not even the world itself would have room for the books that would be written. Amen.
