Iov 29
1 Mai mult, Iov și-a continuat parabola și a spus:
And he repeated Job to take up discourse his and he said.
2 O, de aș fi ca în lunile trecute, ca în zilele când Dumnezeu mă păstra;
Who? will he give me like months of long ago like [the] days [when] God he watched over me.
3 Când candela lui strălucea peste capul meu și când prin lumina lui umblam prin întuneric;
When made shine he lamp his over head my to light his I walked darkness.
4 Cum eram în zilele tinereții mele, când taina lui Dumnezeu era peste cortul meu;
Just as I was in [the] days of prime my in [the] intimacy of God on tent my.
5 Când cel Atotputernic mai era cu mine, când copiii mei erau în jurul meu;
While still [the] Almighty [was] with me [were] around me lads my.
6 Când îmi spălam pașii cu unt și stânca îmi revărsa râuri de untdelemn;
When bathed steps my in curd and a rock it poured out beside me streams of oil.
7 Când ieșeam la poartă, trecând prin cetate, când îmi pregăteam scaunul meu în stradă!
When went out I [the] gate on [the] town in the public square I prepared seat my.
8 Tinerii mă vedeau și se ascundeau; și bătrânii se ridicau și stăteau în picioare.
They saw me young men and they hid themselves and old [men] they rose they stood.
9 Prinții își opreau vorbirea și își puneau mâna la gura.
Chiefs they restrained words and a hand they put to mouth their.
10 Nobilii își rețineau vocea și limba li se lipea de cerul gurii.
[the] voice of Nobles they were hidden and tongue their to palate their it stuck.
11 Când urechea mă auzea, mă binecuvânta; și când ochiul mă vedea, îmi aducea mărturie;
For an ear it heard and it called blessed me and an eye it saw and it bore witness to me.
12 Pentru că am eliberat pe cel sărac care striga și pe cel fără tată și pe cel ce nu avea pe nimeni să îl ajute.
That I rescued [the] afflicted [who] cried for help and [the] fatherless and [the one whom] not a helper [belonged] to him.
13 Binecuvântarea celui ce era gata să piară venea peste mine și făceam inima văduvei să cânte de bucurie.
[the] blessing of [one] about to perish On me it came and [the] heart of a widow I made sing for joy.
14 Mă îmbrăcam cu dreptate și ea mă înveșmânta; judecata mea era ca o robă și o diademă.
Righteousness I put on and it clothed me [was] like a robe and a turban justice my.
15 Eram ochi celui orb și picioare pentru șchiop.
Eyes I was to the blind and [was] feet to the lame I.
16 [Eram] tată celor săraci; și cauza pe care nu o cunoșteam, am cercetat-o în amănunțime.
[was] a father I to the needy [people] and a case at law of [the one whom] not I knew I investigated it.
17 Și am frânt fălcile celui stricat și am smuls prada din dinții lui.
And I broke! [the] jaws of [the] unrighteous and from teeth his I threw [the] prey.
18 Atunci am spus: Voi muri în cuibul meu și voi înmulți zilele mele precum nisipul.
And I said with nest my I will expire and like sand I will increase days.
19 Rădăcina mea era întinsă lângă ape și roua se așeza toată noaptea pe ramura mea.
Root my [is] opened to water and dew it will remain overnight on branch[es] my.
20 Gloria mea era proaspătă în mine și arcul meu era înnoit în mâna mea.
Honor my [is] new with me and bow my in hand my it will show newness.
21 Mă ascultau oamenii și așteptau și tăceau la sfatul meu.
To me people listened and they waited and they may be silent for counsel my.
22 După cuvântarea mea nu mai vorbeau; și vorbirea mea picura peste ei.
After word my not they repeated and on them it dropped speech my.
23 Și mă așteptau ca pe ploaie; și își deschideau larg gura ca după ploaia târzie.
And they waited like the rain for me and mouth their they opened wide for spring rain.
24 [Dacă] râdeam de ei, nu credeau; și lumina înfățișării mele nu o doborau.
I laughed to them not they believed and [the] light of face my not they made fall!
25 Le alegeam calea și ședeam drept mai mare conducător și locuiam ca un împărat în armată, ca unul care mângâie pe cei ce jelesc.
I chose way their so I may sit [as] chief so I may dwell like a king among the troop[s] just as mourners someone comforts.
