Iov 26
1 Dar Iov a răspuns și a zis:
But Job answered and said,
2 Cum ai ajutat tu pe cel fără putere? Cum salvezi tu brațul fără tărie?
How have you helped him that is without power? how save you the arm that has no strength?
3 Cum ai sfătuit tu pe cel fără înțelepciune? Și cum ai făcut cunoscut din abundență înțelepciunea așa cum este?
How have you counselled him that has no wisdom? and how have you plentifully declared the thing as it is?
4 Către cine ai rostit cuvinte? Și al cui duh a venit din tine?
To whom have you uttered words? and whose spirit came from you?
5 Lucruri moarte sunt formate de sub ape și locuitorii acestora.
Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
Hell is naked before him, and destruction has no covering. (Sheol h7585)
7 El întinde nordul peste gol și atârnă pământul de nimic.
He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth upon nothing.
8 El leagă apele în norii săi groși și norul nu se rupe sub ele.
He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
9 El ține în ascuns fața tronului său și întinde norul său peste acesta.
He holds back the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud upon it.
10 El a încercuit apele cu legături, până ce ziua și noaptea se sfârșesc.
He has compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
11 Stâlpii cerului tremură și sunt uimiți la mustrarea lui.
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.
12 El împarte marea cu puterea sa și prin înțelegerea sa el străpunge pe cel mândru.
He divides the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through the proud.
13 Prin duhul său el a împodobit cerurile; mâna sa a format șarpele strâmb.
By his spirit he has garnished the heavens; his hand has formed the crooked serpent.
14 Iată, acestea sunt părțile căilor lui, dar ce mică este partea auzită despre el? Și tunetul puterii sale cine îl poate înțelege?
Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
