Iov 1
1 A fost un om în țara Uț, al cărui nume era Iov; și acel om era desăvârșit și integru și unul care se temea de Dumnezeu și evita răul.
A man he was in [the] land of Uz [was] Job name his and he was - the man that blameless and upright and fearing God and turning aside from evil.
2 Și i s-au născut șapte fii și trei fiice.
And they were born to him seven sons and three daughters.
3 Averea lui de asemenea era șapte mii de oi și trei mii de cămile și cinci sute de perechi de boi și cinci sute de măgărițe și o gospodărie foarte mare, astfel încât acest om era cel mai mare dintre toți oamenii din est.
And it was livestock his seven thousand sheep and three thousand camels and five hundred pair[s] of ox[en] and five hundred female donkeys and service much very and he was the man that great more than all [the] people of [the] east.
4 Și fiii lui mergeau și dădeau ospețe în casele lor, fiecare la ziua lui; și trimiteau și chemau pe cele trei surori ale lor să mănânce și să bea cu ei.
And they went sons his and they made a feast [the] house of each one day his and they sent and they invited [the] three (sisters their *Q(k)*) to eat and to drink with them.
5 Și se întâmpla, când zilele ospețelor treceau, că Iov trimitea și îi sfințea și se ridica devreme dimineața și aducea ofrande arse conform numărului lor, al tuturor, pentru că Iov spunea: Poate că fiii mei au păcătuit și au blestemat pe Dumnezeu în inimile lor. Astfel făcea Iov continuu.
And it was that they had gone round [the] days of the feast and he sent Job and he sanctified them and he rose early in the morning and he offered up burnt offerings [the] number of all of them for he said Job perhaps they have sinned children my and they have blessed God in heart their thus he did Job all the days.
6 Și a fost o zi când fiii lui Dumnezeu au venit să se prezinte înaintea DOMNULUI; și Satan a venit de asemenea printre ei.
And it was the day and they came [the] sons of God to present themselves on Yahweh and he came also the adversary in midst of them.
7 Și DOMNUL i-a spus lui Satan: De unde vii? Atunci Satan a răspuns DOMNULUI și a zis: De la cutreierarea pământului și de la umblarea în sus și în jos pe acesta.
And he said Yahweh to the adversary from where? are you coming and he answered the adversary Yahweh and he said from roving about on the earth and from going about on it.
8 Și DOMNUL i-a spus lui Satan: Ai luat aminte la servitorul meu Iov, că nu este niciunul asemenea lui pe pământ, un om desăvârșit și integru, unul care se teme de Dumnezeu și evită răul?
And he said Yahweh to the adversary ¿ have you set heart your on servant my Job for there not [is] like him on the earth a man blameless and upright fearing God and [who] turns aside from evil.
9 Atunci Satan a răspuns DOMNULUI și a zis: Se teme Iov de Dumnezeu degeaba?
And he answered the adversary Yahweh and he said ¿ in vain has he feared Job God.
10 Nu l-ai îngrădit pe el și casa lui și tot ce are de jur împrejur? Tu ai binecuvântat lucrarea mâinilor sale și averea lui s-a înmulțit în țară.
¿ Not (you *Q(K)*) have you put a hedge behind him and behind house his and behind all that [belongs] to him from round about [the] work of hands his you have blessed and livestock his it has spread out in the land.
11 Dar întinde-ți mâna acum și atinge tot ce are el și te va blestema în față.
And but stretch out please hand your and touch all that [belongs] to him if not on face your he will bless you.
12 Și DOMNUL i-a spus lui Satan: Iată, tot ce are el este în puterea ta; numai asupra lui să nu îți întinzi mâna. Astfel Satan a plecat din prezența DOMNULUI.
And he said Yahweh to the adversary there! all that [belongs] to him [is] in hand your only against him may not you stretch out hand your and he went out the adversary from with [the] presence of Yahweh.
13 Și a fost o zi când fiii săi și fiicele sale mâncau și beau vin în casa fratelui lor mai mare.
And it was the day and sons his and daughters his [were] eating and drinking wine in [the] house of brother their the firstborn.
14 Și a venit un mesager la Iov și a spus: Boii arau și măgărițele pășteau lângă ei;
And a messenger he came to Job and he said the ox[en] they were plowing and the female donkeys [were] grazing on hands their.
15 Și sabeenii au căzut asupra lor și i-au luat; da, au ucis servitorii cu tăișul sabiei; și doar eu singur am scăpat ca să îți aduc vestea.
And it fell Sabean[s] and it took them and the servants they struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
16 În timp ce el încă vorbea, a venit de asemenea un altul și a spus: Focul lui Dumnezeu a căzut din cer și a ars oile și servitorii și i-a mistuit; și doar eu singur am scăpat ca să îți aduc vestea.
Still - this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said [the] fire of God it fell from the heavens and it burned the sheep and the servants and it consumed them and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
17 În timp ce el încă vorbea, a venit de asemenea un altul și a spus: Caldeenii au făcut trei cete și au căzut asupra cămilelor și le-au dus, da, și au ucis servitorii cu tăișul sabiei; și doar eu singur am scăpat ca să îți aduc vestea.
Still - this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said [the] Chaldeans they formed - three companies and they made a raid on the camels and they took them and the servants they struck to [the] mouth of [the] sword and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
18 În timp ce el încă vorbea, a venit de asemenea un altul și a spus: Fiii tăi și fiicele tale mâncau și beau vin în casa fratelui lor mai mare,
Until this [one] [was] speaking and this [one] he came and he said sons your and daughters your [were] eating and drinking wine in [the] house of brother their the firstborn.
19 Și, iată, a venit un vânt mare dinspre pustie și a lovit cele patru colțuri ale casei și ea a căzut peste tineri și ei sunt morți; și doar eu singur am scăpat ca să îți aduc vestea.
And there! a wind great it came - from [the] other side of the wilderness and it touched [the] four [the] corners of the house and it fell on the youths and they died and I have escaped! only I to alone me to tell to you.
20 Atunci Iov s-a ridicat și și-a rupt mantaua și și-a ras capul și a căzut la pământ și s-a închinat,
And he arose Job and he tore robe his and he shaved head his and he fell [the] earth towards and he bowed down.
21 Și a spus: Gol am ieșit din pântecele mamei mele și gol mă voi întoarce acolo: DOMNUL a dat și DOMNUL a luat; binecuvântat fie numele DOMNULUI.
And he said naked (I came out *Q(k)*) from [the] womb of mother my and naked I will return there towards Yahweh he gave and Yahweh he has taken may it be [the] name of Yahweh blessed.
22 În toate acestea Iov nu a păcătuit, nici nu l-a acuzat pe Dumnezeu prostește.
In all this not he sinned Job and not he ascribe unseemliness to God.
