Ieremia 48
1 Împotriva Moabului, astfel spune DOMNUL oștirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel: Vai lui Nebo, pentru că este prădat; Chiriataimul este încurcat și luat; Misgabul este încurcat și descurajat.
Against Moab. Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Woe unto Nebo! for it is wasted; made ashamed, captured is Kiryathayim; made ashamed is Misgab and dismayed.
2 Nu va mai fi laudă a Moabului; în Hesbon ei au plănuit răul împotriva lui; veniți să îl stârpim de la a fi o națiune. De asemenea tu vei fi stârpit, Madmenule; sabia te va urmări.
There is no more praise of Moab: in Cheshbon have they devised evil against it, “Come, and let us cut it off from being a nation.” Also thou Madmen shalt be ruined; after thee shall pursue the sword.
3 O voce de strigăt va fi din Horonaim, jefuire și mare distrugere.
There is a voice of crying from Choronayim, destruction and a great breach.
4 Moabul este distrus; datorită micuților lui se aude un strigăt.
Broken down is Moab: her little ones send forth a cry of distress.
5 Pentru că pe urcușul din Luhit plânset continuu se va înălța, pentru că la coborâșul din Horonaim dușmanii au auzit un strigăt de distrugere.
For the ascent of Luchith is ascended with weeping and tears; for on the descent of Choronayim the enemies have heard the cry of destruction.
6 Fugiți, salvați-vă viețile și fiți ca rug în pustiu.
Flee, save your life, and be ye like the solitary tree in the wilderness.
7 Deoarece te-ai încrezut în lucrările tale și în tezaurele tale, tu de asemenea vei fi luat; și Chemoș va merge în captivitate cu preoții săi și prinții săi împreună.
For, because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be conquered: and Kemosh shall go forth into exile, [with] his priests and his princes together.
8 Și jefuitorul va veni asupra fiecărei cetăți și nicio cetate nu va scăpa; valea de asemenea va pieri și câmpia va fi distrusă, precum DOMNUL a vorbit.
And the water shall come over every city, and no city shall escape: and lost shall be the valley, and destroyed shall be the plain, as the Lord hath said.
9 Dați aripi Moabului ca să zboare și să scape; fiindcă cetățile lui vor fi pustiite, fără ca cineva să locuiască în ele.
Give wings unto Moab, that she may flee and get away; since her cities shall become desolate, without any to dwell therein.
10 Blestemat fie cel care face înșelător lucrarea DOMNULUI și blestemat fie cel care își ține înapoi sabia de la sânge.
Cursed be he that doth the work of the Lord negligently, and cursed be he that withholdeth his sword from blood.
11 Moabul a fost în tihnă din tinerețea lui și s-a așezat pe drojdiile lui și nu a fost golit din vas în vas, nici nu a mers în captivitate; de aceea, gustul lui a rămas în el și mirosul lui nu s-a schimbat.
Moab was ever at ease from his youth, and he was resting on his lees, and was not emptied from vessel to vessel, and had not gone into exile: therefore had his taste remained in him, and his scent was not changed.
12 De aceea, iată, vin zilele, spune DOMNUL, că voi trimite la el, rătăcitori care îl vor face să rătăcească; și îi vor goli vasele și le vor sparge burdufurile.
Therefore, behold, days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will send unto him tappers, that shall tap him, and they shall empty his vessels, and dash in pieces their bottles.
13 Și Moabul se va rușina de Chemoș, precum casa lui Israel s-a rușinat de Betel, încrederea lor.
And Moab shall be ashamed of Kemosh, as the house of Israel were made ashamed because of Beth-el their confidence.
14 Cum spuneți voi: Noi suntem bărbați de război, puternici și tari?
How can ye say, We are mighty and men of bravery for the war?
15 Moabul este jefuit și s-a urcat din cetățile lui și tinerii lui aleși au coborât la măcel, spune Împăratul, al cărui nume este DOMNUL oștirilor.
Moab is wasted, and into his cities hath [the enemy] ascended, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, the Lord of hosts is his name.
16 Nenorocirea Moabului este aproape să vină și foarte mult necazul lui se grăbește.
Near is the calamity of Moab to come, and his misfortune hasteneth fast.
17 Toți cei care sunteți în jurul lui, jeliți-l; și toți cei care cunoașteți numele său, spuneți: Cum este frumoasa nuia și puternicul toiag sfărâmat!
All ye that are about him bemoan him; and all ye that know his name: say, How is the strong staff broken, the beautiful stick!
18 Tu fiică ce locuiești Dibonul, coboară din gloria ta și șezi însetată, pentru că prădătorul Moabului va veni peste tine și îți va distruge întăriturile.
Come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst, thou inhabitress, daughter of Dibon; for the waster of Moab cometh up against thee, he destroyeth thy strong-holds.
19 Locuitor al Aroerului, stai lângă cale și spionează; întreabă pe cel care fuge și pe cea care scapă și spune: Ce s-a făcut?
Stand by the way, and look out, O inhabitress of 'Aro'er: ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, say, What hath been done?
20 Moab este încurcat, pentru că este zdrobit; urlați și strigați; spuneți aceasta în Arnon, că Moabul este jefuit,
Moab hath been made ashamed; for it is broken down; wail, and cry aloud: tell ye it by the Arnon, that Moab is wasted,
21 Și judecata a venit asupra ținutului câmpiei, asupra Holonului și asupra Iahțahului și asupra Mefaatului,
And punishment is come over the land of the plain, over Cholon, and over Yahzah, and over Mepha'ath,
22 Și asupra Dibonului și asupra lui Nebo și asupra Bet-Diblataimului,
And over Dibon, and over Nebo, and over Beth-diblathayim,
23 Și asupra Chiriataimului și asupra Bet-Gamului și asupra Bet-Meonului,
And over Kiryathayim, and over Beth-gamul, and over Beth-me'on,
24 Și asupra Cheriiotului și asupra Boțrei și asupra tuturor cetăților țării Moabului, de departe și de aproape.
And over Keriyoth, and over Bozrah, and over all the cities of the land of Moab, that are far and that are near.
25 Cornul Moabului este retezat și brațul lui este frânt, spune DOMNUL.
Hewn away is the horn of Moab, and his arm is broken, saith the Lord.
26 Îmbătați-l, pentru că s-a înălțat împotriva DOMNULUI; Moabul de asemenea se va tăvăli în vărsătura lui și de asemenea va fi luat în derâdere.
Make him drunken; for he magnified himself against the Lord: and Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall become [an object] of derision.
27 Pentru că, nu ți-a fost Israel un lucru de râs? A fost el găsit printre hoți? Fiindcă de când ai vorbit despre el, săltai de bucurie.
For was not Israel a derision unto thee? or was he found among thieves? that whenever thou spokest of him, thou hadst to shake [thy head]?
28 Voi care locuiți în Moab, părăsiți cetățile și locuiți în stâncă și fiți ca porumbelul care își face cuibul pe laturile gurii gropii.
Leave the cities, and dwell on rocks, O ye that dwell in Moab; and be ye like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the mouth of rocky clefts.
29 Noi am auzit de mândria Moabului (este foarte mândru), de îngâmfarea lui și de aroganța lui și de mândria lui și de trufia inimii lui.
We have heard the pride of Moab, who is so exceedingly proud, his haughtiness, and his pride, and his arrogance, and the overbearingness of his heart.
30 Cunosc furia lui, spune DOMNUL; dar nu va fi așa; minciunile lui sunt în zadar.
I will know, saith the Lord, his wrath, and how causeless it is: his liars have done what is not right.
31 De aceea voi urla eu pentru Moab și voi striga pentru tot Moabul; inima mea va jeli pentru bărbații din Chir-Heres.
Therefore will I wail for Moab, and for all Moab will I cry out; for the men of Kir-cheres shall people moan.
32 O, vie din Sibma, voi plânge pentru tine cu plânsul Iaezerului; plantele tale au trecut peste mare, ele ajung până la marea Iaezerului; jefuitorul a căzut asupra roadelor tale de vară și asupra culesului viilor tale.
With the weeping of Ya'zer will I weep for thee, O vine of Sibmah; thy tendrils [once] passed over the sea, they reached as far as to the sea of Ya'zer: over thy summer-fruits and over thy vintage the waster is fallen.
33 Și bucurie și veselie sunt luate din câmpul roditor și din țara Moabului; și eu am făcut să lipsească vinul din teascurile de vin; nimeni nu va călca cu strigăt; strigătul lor nu va fi strigăt.
And banished are joy and gladness from Carmel, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused the wine to cease from the wine-presses; none shall tread the press with the vintner's call; battle cry—nor vintner's call.
34 De la strigătul Hesbonului până la Eleale și până la Iahaț, și-au înălțat vocea, de la Țoar până la Horonaim, precum o vițea de trei ani, pentru că și apele Nimrimului vor fi pustiite.
From the loud cry of Cheshbon as far as El'aleh, even unto Yahaz, have they sent forth their voice, from Zo'ar even unto Choronayim, to the third 'Eglath; for the waters also of Nimrim shall become desolate.
35 Mai mult, eu voi face să înceteze în Moab, spune DOMNUL, pe cel care oferă pe înălțimi și pe cel care arde tămâie dumnezeilor lui.
Moreover will I cause to cease unto Moab, saith the Lord, him that offereth on the high-places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
36 De aceea inima mea va suna pentru Moab ca fluiere și inima mea va suna ca fluiere pentru bărbații din Chir-Heres; deoarece bogățiile pe care le-a dobândit, au pierit.
Therefore shall my heart groan for Moab like flutes, and my heart shall groan like flutes for the men of Kir-cheres; for the cause that the remnant of the riches he had gotten are lost.
37 Pentru că fiecare cap va fi chel și fiecare barbă scurtată; pe toate mâinile vor fi tăieturi și pe coapse pânză de sac.
For every head is bald, and every beard is shorn: upon all the hands are cuttings, and upon the loins is sackcloth.
38 Va fi plângere cu stăruință pe toate acoperișurile Moabului și în străzile lui, pentru că am sfărâmat Moabul ca pe un vas în care nu este plăcere, spune DOMNUL.
Upon all the roofs of Moab, and in her streets, there is everywhere lamentation; for I have broken Moab like a vessel which hath no value, saith the Lord.
39 Ei vor urla, spunând: Cum este sfărâmat! Cum a întors Moabul spatele cu rușine! Astfel Moabul va fi luat în derâdere și de groază pentru toți cei din jurul lui.
Oh, how is it broken down! wail! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! and Moab shall be a derision and a dismay to all those around him.
40 Pentru că astfel spune DOMNUL: Iată, el va zbura ca o acvilă și își va întinde aripile peste Moab.
For thus hath said the Lord, Behold, as the eagle shall he fly, and he shall spread out his wings over Moab.
41 Cheriiotul este luat și fortărețele sunt luate prin surprindere și inimile războinicilor din Moab vor fi, în acea zi, ca inima unei femei în junghiurile ei.
Captured are the fortresses, and the strong-holds are conquered: and the heart of the mighty men of Moab shall be on that day as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
42 Și Moabul va fi nimicit ca popor, pentru că s-a înălțat împotriva DOMNULUI.
And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people; because it hath magnified himself against the Lord.
43 Frica și groapa și cursa vor fi asupra ta, locuitor al Moabului, spune DOMNUL.
Terror, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the Lord.
44 Cel ce fuge de frică va cădea în groapă; și cel ce iese afară din groapă va fi prins în cursă, pentru că eu voi aduce asupra lui, asupra Moabului, anul cercetării lui, spune DOMNUL.
He that fleeth from the terror shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be caught in the snare; for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the Lord.
45 Cei ce au fugit au stat sub umbra Hesbonului din cauza puterii dușmanului; dar un foc a ieșit din Hesbon și o flacără din mijlocul Sihonului și va mistui colțul Moabului și coroana capului celor tumultoși.
Under the shadow of Cheshbon stand still, deprived of strength, those that flee; but a fire cometh forth out of Cheshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sichon, and it devoureth the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the children of vaunting.
46 Vai ție, Moabule! Poporul lui Chemoș piere, pentru că fiii tăi sunt luați captivi și fiicele tale captive.
Woe unto thee, O Moab! lost is the people of Kemosh; for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters into captivity.
47 Totuși voi aduce înapoi captivitatea Moabului în zilele de pe urmă, spune DOMNUL. Până aici este judecata Moabului.
Yet will I bring back again the captivity of Moab in the end of days, saith the Lord. Thus far is the punishment of Moab.
