Ieremia 39
1 În anul al nouălea al lui Zedechia, împăratul lui Iuda, în luna a zecea, a venit Nebucadnețar, împăratul Babilonului, și toată armata lui împotriva Ierusalimului și l-au asediat.
In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his force against Jerusalem, and they besieged it.
2 Și în anul al unsprezecelea al lui Zedechia, în luna a patra, în a noua zi a lunii, cetatea a fost spartă.
In the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month on the ninth of the month, was the city broken into.
3 Și toți prinții împăratului Babilonului au intrat și au șezut la poarta din mijloc, chiar Nergal-Șarețer, Samgar-Nebu, Sarsechim, Rabsaris, Nergal-Șarețer, Rabmag, cu toată rămășița prinților împăratului Babilonului.
Then came in all the princes of the king of Babylon, and sat in the middle gate, —Nergal-sharezer, Samgar-nebo, Sarsechim, chief eunuch Nergal-sharezer, chief soothsayer, and all the residue of the princes of the king of Babylon.
4 Și s-a întâmplat, când i-a văzut Zedechia, împăratul lui Iuda, și toți bărbații de război, că au fugit și au ieșit din cetate noaptea, pe calea grădinii împăratului, prin poarta dintre cele două ziduri; și el a ieșit pe calea câmpiei.
And it came to pass as soon as Zedekiah king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, that they fled, and went forth by night out of the city, by way of the king’s garden, through the gate between the two walls, —and he went forth by way of the waste plain.
5 Dar armata caldeenilor i-a urmărit și l-a ajuns pe Zedechia în câmpiile Ierihonului; și după ce l-au prins, l-au adus la Nebucadnețar, împăratul Babilonului, la Ribla în țara Hamatului, unde el a dat judecată asupra lui.
But the force of the Chaldeans pursued them, and overtook Zedekiah in the waste plains of Jericho, and when they had taken him, they brought him up unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, to Riblah, in the land of Hamath, —and pronounced upon him sentences of judgment.
6 Atunci împăratul Babilonului i-a ucis pe fiii lui Zedechia, în Ribla, înaintea ochilor lui; de asemenea împăratul Babilonului a ucis pe toți nobilii lui Iuda.
And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah, in Riblah before his eyes, —and all the nobles of Judah, did the king of Babylon slay;
7 Mai mult, el i-a scos ochii lui Zedechia și l-a legat cu lanțuri, pentru a-l duce în Babilon.
and the eyes of Zedekiah, did he put out, and bound him with fetters of bronze to bring him into Babylon.
8 Și caldeenii au ars casa împăratului și casele poporului cu foc și au dărâmat zidurile Ierusalimului.
And the house of the king, and the houses of the people, did the Chaldeans burn with fire, and the walls of Jerusalem, brake they down;
9 Atunci Nebuzaradan, căpetenia gărzii, a dus captivă în Babilon, rămășița poporului care rămăsese în cetate și pe cei care fugiseră, care căzuseră în mâinile lui, împreună cu restul poporului care rămăsese.
and the remnant of the people who were left in the city, and the disheartened who fell away unto him, and the remnant of the people who were left, did Nebuzaradan chief of the royal executioners, take captive to Babylon.
10 Dar Nebuzaradan, căpetenia gărzii, a lăsat dintre cei săraci din popor, care nu aveau nimic, în țara lui Iuda; și în acel timp le-a dat vii și câmpuri.
But of the poor people, who had, nothing, did Nebuzaradan chief of the royal executioners, leave remaining in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and ploughed fields on the same day.
11 Și Nebucadnețar, împăratul Babilonului, a dat poruncă, referitor la Ieremia, lui Nebuzaradan căpetenia gărzii, spunând:
Then Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave command, concerning Jeremiah, —through Nebuzaradan chief of the royal executioners saying:
12 Ia-l și ai grijă de el și să nu îi faci nicio vătămare; ci să îi faci precum îți va spune.
Take him and, thine eyes, set thou upon him, and do not unto him any harmful thing, —but just as he shall speak unto thee, so, shalt thou do with him.
13 Astfel Nebuzaradan, căpetenia gărzii, a trimis, și Nebușazban, Rabsaris și Nergal-Șarețer, Rabmag, și toți prinții împăratului Babilonului;
So Nebuzaradan chief of the royal executioners, sent, also Nebushazban, chief of the eunuchs, and Nergal-sharezer chief of the magi, and all the chiefs of the king of Babylon;
14 Chiar ei au trimis și l-au luat pe Ieremia din curtea închisorii și l-au dat lui Ghedalia, fiul lui Ahicam, fiul lui Șafan, ca să îl ducă acasă; astfel el a locuit printre popor.
yea they sent and fetched Jeremiah out of the guard-court, and delivered him unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam son of Shaphan, to bring him forth into a home, so he dwelt in the midst of the people.
15 Și cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la Ieremia, în timp ce el era închis în curtea închisorii, spunând:
Now unto Jeremiah, had come the word of Yahweh, while he was yet shut up in the guard-court, saying:
16 Du-te și vorbește-i lui Ebed-Melec etiopianul, spunând: Astfel spune DOMNUL oștirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel: Iată, voi aduce cuvintele mele asupra acestei cetăți spre rău și nu spre bine; și ele vor fi împlinite în acea zi înaintea ta.
Go and speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, —Thus saith Yahweh of hosts God of Israel, Behold me! bringing about my words against this city, for, calamity—and not for blessing, —and they shall come to pass before thee, in that day.
17 Dar pe tine te voi elibera în acea zi, spune DOMNUL; și nu vei fi dat în mâna oamenilor de care te temi.
But I will deliver thee in that day, Declareth Yahweh, —and thou shalt not be given up into the hand of the men from the face of whom, thou, mightest shrink with fear.
18 Pentru că te voi elibera într-adevăr și tu nu vei cădea prin sabie, ci viața ta va fi ca pradă pentru tine; deoarece ți-ai pus încrederea în mine, spune DOMNUL.
For I will, surely, deliver, thee, and by the sword, shalt thou not fall, —but thou shalt have thine own life as a spoil, Because thou hast trusted in me, Declareth Yahweh.
