Ieremia 30
1 Cuvântul care a venit la Ieremia de la DOMNUL, spunând:
This is the message that came to Jeremiah from the Lord:
2 Astfel vorbește DOMNUL Dumnezeul lui Israel, spunând: Scrie-ți toate cuvintele pe care ți le-am vorbit, într-o carte.
This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Write down in a book everything I've told you.
3 Fiindcă, iată, vin zilele, spune DOMNUL când mă voi întoarce din nou cu cei din captivitate ai poporului meu Israel și Iuda, spune DOMNUL; și îi voi face să se întoarcă în țara pe care am dat-o părinților lor și ei o vor stăpâni.
Look, the time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will bring back my people Israel and Judah from captivity, declares the Lord. I will bring them back to the country I gave to their forefathers, and they will own it again.
4 Și acestea sunt cuvintele pe care DOMNUL le-a vorbit referitor la Israel și referitor la Iuda.
This what the Lord said about Israel and Judah.
5 Pentru că astfel spune DOMNUL: Noi am auzit o voce a cutremurării, a fricii și nu a păcii.
This is what the Lord says: Hear the cries of panic, cries of fear, not peace.
6 Întrebați acum și vedeți dacă un bărbat are durerile nașterii? Pentru ce văd pe fiecare bărbat cu mâinile pe coapsele sale, ca o femeie în durerile nașterii, și toate fețele au devenit palide?
Think about it! Can men give birth? No. So why do I see every man holding his stomach with his hands like a woman in labor. Why is every face white as a sheet?
7 Vai! pentru că acea zi este mare, astfel încât niciuna nu este asemenea ei; acesta este chiar timpul de tulburare al lui Iacob; dar el va fi salvat de acest timp.
What a terrible day it will be—a day like never before! This is the time of trouble for Jacob's descendants, but they will be rescued from it.
8 Fiindcă se va întâmpla în acea zi, spune DOMNUL oștirilor, că voi sfărâma jugul lui de pe gâtul tău și îți voi rupe legăturile; și străinii nu se vor mai servi de el;
On that day, declares the Lord Almighty, I will break the yoke from their necks and tear off their chains. Foreigners won't make them slaves anymore.
9 Ci ei vor servi DOMNULUI Dumnezeului lor și lui David împăratul lor, pe care li-l voi ridica.
They will serve the Lord their God, and their king, David's descendant whom I will give them.
10 De aceea nu te teme, tu, servitorul meu Iacob, spune DOMNUL; nici nu te descuraja, Israele, pentru că, iată, te voi salva de departe, pe tine și pe sămânța ta din țara captivității lor; și Iacob se va întoarce și se va odihni și va fi liniștit, și nimeni nu îl va înspăimânta.
As far as you're concerned, my servant Jacob, don't be afraid, declares the Lord, Israel, don't be discouraged. I promise to save you from your distant places of exile, your descendants from the countries where they're being held captive. The descendants of Jacob will go home to a quiet and comfortable life, free from any threats.
11 Pentru că eu sunt cu tine, spune DOMNUL, pentru a te salva; deși voi mistui deplin toate națiunile unde te-am împrăștiat, totuși nu voi termina de tot cu tine; ci te voi disciplina cu măsură și nu te voi lăsa cu totul nepedepsit.
I am with you and I will save you, declares the Lord. Even though I'm going to completely destroy all the nations where I scattered you, I won't completely destroy you. However, I will discipline you as you deserve, and you can be sure I won't leave you unpunished.
12 Pentru că astfel spune DOMNUL: Vânătaia ta este fără vindecare și rana ta este apăsătoare.
This is what the Lord says: You have a wound that cannot be healed, you have a terrible injury.
13 Nu este nimeni să pledeze cauza ta, pentru a-ți lega rana; nu ai medicamente vindecătoare.
There's no one to take care of your case, no cure for your sores, no healing for you.
14 Toți iubiții tăi te-au uitat; ei nu te caută, pentru că te-am rănit cu rana unui dușman, cu pedeapsa unuia crud, pentru mulțimea nelegiuirilor tale: pentru că păcatele tale s-au înmulțit.
All your lovers have forgotten about you; they don't bother looking for you anymore, because I have beaten you as if I were your enemy, the discipline of a cruel person, because of how wicked you are, because of your many sins.
15 De ce strigi pentru nenorocirea ta? Tristețea ta este fără vindecare din cauza mulțimii nelegiuirilor tale; ți-am făcut aceste lucruri pentru că păcatele tale s-au înmulțit.
Why are you crying over your wound? You pain can't be cured. I did this to you because of how wicked you are, because of your many sins.
16 De aceea toți cei care te mănâncă vor fi mâncați; și toți potrivnicii tăi, fiecare dintre ei, vor merge în captivitate; și cei ce te jefuiesc vor fi o jefuire și pe toți cei care te pradă îi voi da ca pradă.
Even so, everyone who destroys you will be destroyed. All your enemies, every last one, will be sent into exile. Those who plundered you will be plundered, and all who robbed you will be robbed.
17 Pentru că îți voi da înapoi sănătatea și te voi vindeca de rănile tale, spune DOMNUL; deoarece te-au numit Cel Alungat, spunând: Acesta este Sionul, pe care niciun om nu îl caută.
But I will give you back your health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord, because people say you've been abandoned and that no one cares about you, Zion.
18 Astfel spune DOMNUL: Iată, voi întoarce din nou corturile lui Iacob din captivitate și voi avea milă de locuințele lui; și cetatea va fi zidită pe propriul ei morman și palatul va rămâne după felul său.
This is what the Lord says: I will bring Jacob's descendants back to their homes and have mercy on their families. The city will be rebuilt on top of its ruins, and the palace once again stand where it should.
19 Și din ele vor ieși aducere de mulțumire și vocea celor care se veselesc; și îi voi înmulți și ei nu vor fi puțini; de asemenea îi voi glorifica și ei nu vor fi mici.
People will be singing songs of thanks, the sounds of celebration. I will increase their number—they will not become less. I will honor them—they will not be treated as insignificant.
20 Copiii lor vor fi de asemenea ca înainte și adunarea lor va fi întemeiată, înaintea mea și voi pedepsi pe toți cei ce îi oprimă.
Their children will be looked after like they used to be. I will make their nation strong again, and punish anyone who attacks them.
21 Și nobilii lor vor ieși din Iacob și guvernatorul lor va ieși din mijlocul lor; și îl voi face să se apropie, și el se va apropia de mine, pentru că cine este acesta care și‑a dedicat inima să se apropie de mine? spune DOMNUL.
Their leader will be from their own country, their ruler will be chosen from among them. I will invite him to come close to me, and he will do so, for would anyone dare to approach me without being asked? declares the Lord.
22 Și voi veți fi poporul meu și eu voi fi Dumnezeul vostru.
You will be my people, and I will be your God.
23 Iată, vârtejul de vânt al DOMNULUI iese cu furie, un vârtej de vânt continuu; acesta va cădea cu durere peste capul celor stricați.
Watch out! The Lord has sent out a furious storm, a tornado swirling around the heads of the wicked.
24 Mânia înverșunată a DOMNULUI nu se va întoarce, până nu va fi făcut aceasta și până nu va fi împlinit planurile inimii sale; în zilele de pe urmă veți lua aminte la aceasta.
The Lord's anger won't fade until he's finished doing everything he wants. Only then will you really understand.
