Isaia 7

1 Şi s-a întâmplat în zilele lui Ahaz, fiul lui Iota, fiul lui Ozia, împăratul lui Iuda, că Rezin, împăratul Siriei, şi Peca, fiul lui Remalia, împăratul Israelului, s-au urcat la Ierusalim să se războiască împotriva lui, dar nu l-au învins.

And it was don in the daies of Achas, the sone of Joathan, the sone of Osias, kyng of Juda, Rasyn, the kyng of Sirie, and Facee, the sone of Romelie, the kyng of Israel, stieden to Jerusalem, for to fiyte ayens it; and thei myyten not ouercome it.

2 Şi s-a spus casei lui David, zicând: Siria s-a unit cu Efraim. Şi inima lui şi inima poporului său a fost mişcată, precum copacii pădurii sunt mişcaţi de vânt.

And thei telden to the hous of Dauid, and seiden, Sirie hath restid on Effraym, and the herte of hym and of his puple was mouyd togidere, as the trees of wodis ben mouyd of the face of the wynd.

3 Atunci DOMNUL i-a spus lui Isaia: Du-te înainte acum să întâlneşti pe Ahaz, tu şi Şear-Iaşub, fiul tău, la marginea apeductului iazului superior, pe drumul mare al câmpului înălbitorului;

And the Lord seide to Isaie, Go thou out, and Jasub, thi sone, which is left, in to the meetyng of Achas, at the laste ende of the water cundijt of the hiyere cisterne, in the weie of the feeld of the fullere.

4 Şi spune-i: Ia seama şi linişteşte-te; nu te teme, nici nu fi cu inima slabă din cauza celor două cozi ai acestor tăciuni care fumegă, din cauza mâniei înverşunate a lui Rezin cu Siria şi a fiului lui Remalia.

And thou schalt seie to hym, Se thou, that thou be stille; nyle thou drede, and thin herte be not aferd of twei tailis of these brondis smokynge in the wraththe of woodnesse, of Rasyn, kynge of Sirie, and of the sone of Romelye.

5 Pentru că Siria, Efraim şi fiul lui Remalia au ţinut sfat rău împotriva ta, spunând:

For Sirie, and Effraym, and the sone of Romelie, han bigunne yuel councel ayens thee, and seien, Stie we to Juda,

6 Să ne urcăm împotriva lui Iuda şi să îl chinuim şi să ne facem în el o spărtură şi să aşezăm un împărat în mijlocul lui, adică pe fiul lui Tabeal;

and reise we hym, and drawe we hym out to vs; and sette we a kyng in the myddis therof, the sone of Tabeel.

7 Astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEU: Nu va rămâne în picioare, nici nu se va întâmpla.

The Lord God seith these thingis, This schal not be, and it schal not stonde;

8 Deoarece capul Siriei este Damascul şi capul Damascului este Rezin; şi în şaizeci şi cinci de ani Efraim va fi frânt, încât nu va fi un popor.

but Damask schal be the heed of Sirie, and Rasyn `schal be the heed of Damask; and yit sixti yeer and fiue, and Effraym schal faile to be a puple;

9 Şi capul lui Efraim este Samaria şi capul Samariei este fiul lui Remalia. Dacă nu veţi crede, cu siguranţă nu veţi fi întemeiaţi.

and Samarie shal faile to be the heed of Effraym, and the sone of Romelie `schal faile to be heed of Samarie. Forsothe if ye schulen not bileue, ye schulen not dwelle.

10 Mai mult, DOMNUL a vorbit din nou lui Ahaz, spunând:

And the Lord addide to speke to Achas,

11 Cere semn de la DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău; cere-l, fie în adânc, fie în înălţimea de deasupra. (Sheol h7585)

and seide, Axe thou to thee a signe of thi Lord God, in to the depthe of helle, ethir in to heiythe aboue. (Sheol h7585)

12 Dar Ahaz a spus: Nu cer, nici nu îl ispitesc pe DOMNUL.

And Achas seide, Y schal not axe, and Y schal not tempte the Lord.

13 Iar el a spus: Ascultaţi acum, casa lui David. Este un lucru mic pentru voi să obosiţi oamenii, dar veţi obosi şi pe Dumnezeul meu?

And Ysaie seide, Therfor the hous of Dauid, here ye; whether it is litil to you to be diseseful to men, for ye ben diseseful also to my God?

14 De aceea Domnul însuşi vă va da un semn: Iată, o fecioară va rămâne însărcinată şi va naşte un fiu şi îi va pune numele, Emanuel.

For this thing the Lord hym silf schal yyue a signe to you. Lo! a virgyn schal conseyue, and schal bere a sone; and his name schal be clepid Emanuel.

15 El va mânca unt şi miere, pentru a şti să refuze răul şi să aleagă binele.

He schal ete botere and hony, that he kunne repreue yuel, and cheese good.

16 Căci înainte ca pruncul să ştie să refuze răul şi să aleagă binele, ţara pe care tu o deteşti va fi părăsită de amândoi împăraţii ei.

For whi bifore that the child kunne repreue yuel, and chese good, the lond, which thou wlatist, schal be forsakun of the face of her twei kyngis.

17 DOMNUL va aduce asupra ta şi asupra poporului tău şi asupra casei tatălui tău, zile ce nu au mai venit, din ziua în care Efraim a plecat din Iuda; [adică] pe împăratul Asiriei.

The Lord schal brynge on thee, and on thi puple, and on the hous of thi fadir, daies that camen not fro the daies of departyng of Effraym fro Juda, with the kyng of Assiriens.

18 Şi se va întâmpla, în acea zi, că DOMNUL va şuiera după musca care este în cea mai îndepărtată parte a râurilor Egiptului şi după albina ce este în ţara Asiriei.

And it schal be, in that dai the Lord schal hisse to a flie, which is in the laste parte of the floodis of Egipt; and to a bee, which is in the lond of Assur;

19 Şi vor veni şi toate se vor odihni în văile pustiite şi în crăpăturile stâncilor şi pe toţi spinii şi pe toate tufişurile.

and `alle so schulen come, and schulen reste in the strondis of valeis, and in caues of stoonis, and in alle places of buyschis, and in alle hoolis.

20 În aceeaşi zi Domnul va rade cu o lamă angajată, adică cu cei de dincolo de râu, cu împăratul Asiriei, capul şi părul picioarelor şi de asemenea va mistui barba.

And in that dai the Lord schal schaue with a scharp rasour in these men, that ben biyendis the flood, in the kyng of Assiriens, the heed, and heeris of the feet, and al the beerd.

21 Şi se va întâmpla, în acea zi, că un om va hrăni o viţea şi două oi;

And it schal be, in that day a man schal nurische a cow of oxis, and twei scheep,

22 Şi se va întâmpla din cauza abundenţei de lapte pe care îl vor da, că el va mânca unt, căci unt şi miere vor mânca toţi cei ce rămân în ţară.

and for the plentee of mylk he schal ete botere; for whi ech man that schal be left in the myddis of the lond, schal ete boter and hony.

23 Şi se va întâmpla, în acea zi, că fiecare loc unde erau o mie de vii pentru o mie de arginţi, va fi [acoperit de] mărăcini şi spini.

And it schal be, in that dai ech place where a thousand vyneris schulen be worth a thousynde platis of siluer, and schulen be in to thornes and breeris,

24 Cu săgeţi şi cu arcuri vor veni acolo, pentru că toată ţara va deveni mărăcini şi spini.

men schulen entre thidur with bouwis and arowis; for whi breris and thornes schulen be in al the lond.

25 Şi pe toate dealurile, care vor fi săpate cu cazmaua, acolo nu vor veni de frica mărăcinilor şi a spinilor, ci vor fi [un loc] unde vor trimite boi şi unde vor călca oile.

And alle hillis that schulen be purgid with a sarpe, the drede of thornes and of breris schal not come thidir; and it schal be in to lesewe of oxen, and in to treding of scheep.
