Isaia 63
1 Cine este acesta care vine din Edom, cu veşminte vopsite din Boţra? Acesta care este glorios în haina lui, călătorind în măreţia tăriei lui? Eu cel ce vorbesc în dreptate, puternic pentru a salva.
Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
2 Pentru ce îţi este haina roşie şi veşmintele tale ca cel ce calcă în teasc?
Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
3 Am călcat singur în teasc; şi din popor nu a fost nimeni cu mine, căci îi voi călca în mânia mea şi îi voi călca în picioare în furia mea; şi sângele lor va fi stropit pe veşmintele mele şi îmi voi întina toate hainele.
I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
4 Fiindcă ziua răzbunării este în inima mea şi anul răscumpăraţilor mei este aproape.
For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
5 Şi am privit şi nu a fost nimeni să ajute; şi m-am minunat că nu a fost nimeni să susţină, de aceea braţul meu mi-a adus salvare; şi furia mea, ea m-a susţinut.
And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
6 Şi voi călca poporul în mânia mea şi îi voi îmbăta în furia mea şi voi doborî tăria lor la pământ.
And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.
7 Voi aminti despre bunătatea iubitoare a DOMNULUI şi laudele DOMNULUI, conform cu tot ce a aşezat DOMNUL peste noi şi marea bunătate către casa lui Israel, pe care el a aşezat-o asupra lor conform îndurărilor lui şi conform mulţimii bunătăţilor lui iubitoare.
I will mention the lovingkindnesses of Yhwh, and the praises of Yhwh, according to all that Yhwh hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
8 Fiindcă el a spus: Cu siguranţă ei sunt poporul meu, copii ce nu vor minţi, astfel el a fost Salvatorul lor.
For he said, Surely they are my people, children that will not lie: so he was their Saviour.
9 În toată nenorocirea lor el a fost nenorocit şi îngerul dinaintea feţei lui i-a salvat, în dragostea lui şi în mila lui i-a răscumpărat; şi i-a dus şi i-a purtat în toate zilele din vechime.
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
10 Dar ei s-au răzvrătit şi au chinuit Duhul său sfânt, de aceea s-a întors pentru a fi duşmanul lor şi a luptat împotriva lor.
But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
11 Atunci şi-a amintit zilele din vechime, de Moise şi poporul său, spunând: Unde este cel care i-a adus din mare cu păstorul turmei lui? Unde este cel care a pus Duhul său sfânt în el?
Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?
12 Care i-a condus prin dreapta lui Moise cu braţul său glorios, despărţind apa înaintea lor, pentru a-şi face un nume veşnic?
That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?
13 Care i-a condus prin adânc, ca pe un cal în pustiu, ca ei să nu se poticnească?
That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?
14 Ca o fiară ce coboară în vale, Duhul DOMNULUI l-a făcut să se odihnească, astfel ai condus pe poporul tău, pentru a-ţi face un nume glorios.
As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of Yhwh caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.
15 Uită-te în jos din cer şi priveşte din locuinţa sfinţeniei tale şi a gloriei tale, unde este zelul şi tăria ta, fiorul adâncurilor şi a îndurărilor tale către mine? Sunt ele împiedicate?
Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained?
16 Fără îndoială tu eşti tatăl nostru, deşi dacă Avraam nu știe despre noi şi Israel nu ne recunoaşte, tu, DOAMNE, eşti tatăl nostru, răscumpărătorul nostru; numele tău este din veşnicie.
Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O Yhwh, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.
17 DOAMNE, de ce ne-ai făcut să rătăcim de la căile tale şi ne-ai împietrit inima de la frica de tine? Întoarce, de dragul servitorului tău, triburile moştenirii tale.
O Yhwh, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
18 Poporul sfinţeniei tale l-a stăpânit doar puţin timp, potrivnicii noştri au călcat sanctuarul tău.
The people of thy holiness have possessed it but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
19 Noi suntem ai tăi, niciodată nu ai condus peste ei; nu s-au numit după numele tău.
We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy name.
