Isaia 62
1 De dragul Sionului nu voi tăcea şi de dragul Ierusalimului nu mă voi odihni, până când dreptatea acestuia va ieşi ca strălucirea şi salvarea acestuia ca o lampă ce arde.
For the sake of Zion will I not be silent, and for the sake of Jerusalem will I not be quiet; until its righteousness go forth as the brightness [of light], and its salvation as a burning torch.
2 Şi neamurile vor vedea dreptatea ta şi toţi împăraţii, gloria ta, şi vei fi numită cu un nume nou, pe care gura DOMNULUI îl va rosti.
And nations shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory; and men shall call thee by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall pronounce.
3 De asemenea vei fi o coroană de glorie în mâna DOMNULUI şi o diademă împărătească în mâna Dumnezeului tău.
And thou shalt be a crown of ornament in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
4 Nu vei mai fi numită Părăsită; nici ţara ta nu va mai fi numită Pustiită, ci vei fi numită Hefţiba, şi ţara ta Beula; fiindcă DOMNUL se desfată în tine şi ţara ta va fi căsătorită.
Thou shalt not be termed any more “Forsaken,” and thy land shall not be termed any more “Desolate;” for thou shalt be called “My delight in her” [[Chephzi-bah]], and thy land “Espoused” [[Be'ulah]]; for the Lord will have delight in thee, and thy land shall be espoused.
5 Căci precum un tânăr se căsătoreşte cu o fecioară, tot astfel fiii tăi se vor căsători cu tine, şi precum mirele se bucură de mireasă, tot astfel Dumnezeul tău se va bucura de tine.
For as a young man espouseth a virgin, so shall thy sons espouse thee; and as the bridegroom is glad over the bride, so will be glad over thee thy God.
6 Am aşezat paznici pe zidurile tale, Ierusalime, care niciodată nu vor tăcea nici zi nici noapte, voi, care amintiţi despre DOMNUL, nu păstraţi tăcere,
Over thy walls, O Jerusalem, have I appointed watchmen, all the day and all the night, continually, shall they not be silent: ye that make mention of the Lord, take ye no rest.
7 Şi nu îi daţi odihnă, până când va întemeia Ierusalimul şi îl va face de laudă pe pământ.
And give him no rest, until he have established, and until he have set up Jerusalem as a praise on the earth.
8 DOMNUL a jurat pe dreapta sa şi pe braţul tăriei lui: Negreşit, nu îţi voi mai da grânele să fie mâncare pentru duşmanii tăi; şi fiii străinului nu vor mai bea vinul tău, pentru care ai ostenit,
Sworn hath the Lord by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, I will not give thy corn any more as food for thy enemies, and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy young wine for which thou hast labored;
9 Ci cei care l-au adunat îl vor mânca şi vor lăuda pe DOMNUL; şi cei ce l-au strâns îl vor bea în curţile sfinţeniei mele.
But they who gather it shall eat it, and praise the Lord; and they who bring it together shall drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.
10 Treceţi, treceţi pe porţi; pregătiţi calea poporului; înălţaţi, înălţaţi drumul mare; scoateţi pietrele; ridicaţi un steag pentru popor.
Pass, pass through the gates, make clear the way of the people, cast up, cast up the highway, remove away the stones, lift up a banner over the nations.
11 Iată, DOMNUL a vestit până la marginea lumii: Spuneţi fiicei Sionului: Iată, salvarea ta vine; iată, răsplata lui este cu el şi lucrarea lui înaintea lui.
Behold, the Lord hath caused to be heard unto the ends of the earth, “Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.”
12 Iar ei îi vor numi: Poporul sfânt, Răscumpăraţii DOMNULUI, şi tu te vei numi: Căutată, O cetate nepărăsită.
And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord; and thou shalt be called, Sought for, [[Derusha, ]] The city never forsaken.
