Isaia 59
1 Iată, mâna DOMNULUI nu s-a scurtat, încât să nu poată salva, nici urechea lui nu s-a îngreunat, încât să nu poată auzi;
Behold, YHWH 's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
2 Ci nelegiuirile voastre au făcut o despărţire între voi şi Dumnezeul vostru şi păcatele voastre au ascuns faţa lui de voi, ca să nu asculte.
But your iniquities have separated between you and your Elohim, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
3 Fiindcă mâinile vă sunt întinate cu sânge şi degetele voastre cu nelegiuire; buzele voastre au vorbit minciuni, limba voastră a bolborosit perversitate.
For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
4 Nimeni nu strigă după dreptate, nimeni nu pledează pentru adevăr, ei se încred în deşertăciune şi vorbesc minciuni; concep ticăloşie şi nasc nelegiuire.
None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
5 Clocesc ouă de năpârcă şi ţes pânză de păianjen, cel ce mănâncă ouăle lor moare şi dacă se striveşte unul, iese o viperă.
They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
6 Pânzele lor nu vor deveni veşminte, nici nu se vor acoperi cu faptele lor, faptele lor sunt fapte ale nelegiuirii şi actul de violenţă este în mâinile lor.
Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
7 Picioarele lor aleargă la rău şi se grăbesc să verse sânge nevinovat, gândurile lor sunt gânduri ale nelegiuirii; risipire şi nimicire sunt pe cărările lor.
Their feet run to evil, and they make hast to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
8 Calea păcii ei nu o cunosc; şi nu este judecată în umbletele lor, şi-au făcut cărări strâmbe, oricine umblă în ele nu va cunoaşte pace.
The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
9 De aceea judecata este departe de noi, şi dreptatea nu ne ajunge, aşteptăm lumină, dar iată, întuneric; strălucire, dar umblăm în întunecime.
Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
10 Bâjbâim căutând zidul ca orbii şi bâjbâim ca şi cum nu am avea ochi, ne poticnim la amiază ca noaptea; suntem în locuri pustiite ca morţi.
We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
11 Răcnim toţi ca urşii şi jelim mult ca porumbeii, căutăm judecata, dar nu este niciuna; salvarea, dar este departe de noi.
We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
12 Fiindcă fărădelegile noastre s-au înmulţit înaintea ta şi păcatele noastre mărturisesc împotriva noastră, căci fărădelegile noastre sunt cu noi; şi cât despre nelegiuirile noastre, le cunoaştem;
For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;
13 Făcând fărădelege şi minţind împotriva DOMNULUI şi îndepărtându-ne de Dumnezeul nostru, vorbind asuprire şi răzvrătire, concepând şi rostind din inimă cuvintele minciunii.
In transgressing and lying against YHWH, and departing away from our Elohim, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
14 Şi judecata s-a întors înapoi şi dreptatea stă departe, căci adevărul a căzut în stradă şi echitatea nu poate intra.
And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
15 Da, adevărul lipseşte; şi cel ce se depărtează de rău se face pe sine o pradă, şi DOMNUL a văzut aceasta şi nu i-a plăcut că nu este judecată.
Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and YHWH saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
16 Şi a văzut că nu este om şi s-a minunat că nu este mijlocitor, de aceea braţul său i-a adus salvare; şi dreptatea lui, ea l-a sprijinit.
And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
17 Căci a îmbrăcat dreptatea ca pe un pieptar şi şi-a pus pe cap un coif al salvării; şi a îmbrăcat veşmintele răzbunării ca îmbrăcăminte şi a fost acoperit cu zel precum cu o mantie.
For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
18 Conform faptelor lor, astfel va răsplăti el, furie potrivnicilor săi, recompensă duşmanilor săi; insulelor le va răsplăti fapta lor.
According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.
19 Astfel cei de la apus se vor teme de numele DOMNULUI, şi de gloria lui cei de la răsăritul soarelui. Când duşmanul va intra ca un potop, Duhul DOMNULUI va ridica un steag împotriva lui.
So shall they fear the name of YHWH from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of YHWH shall lift up a standard against him.
20 Şi Răscumpărătorul va veni în Sion şi la cei din Iacob care se vor întoarce de la fărădelege, spune DOMNUL.
And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith YHWH.
21 Cât despre mine, acesta este legământul meu cu ei, spune DOMNUL: Duhul meu care este peste tine şi cuvintele mele pe care le-am pus în gura ta, nu se vor depărta de gura ta, nici din gura seminţei tale, nici din gura seminţei seminţei tale, spune DOMNUL, de acum şi pentru totdeauna.
As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith YHWH; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith YHWH, from henceforth and for ever.
