Isaia 56
1 Astfel spune DOMNUL: Păziţi judecata şi faceţi dreptate, fiindcă salvarea mea este aproape să vină şi dreptatea mea să fie revelată.
Thus, saith Yahweh, Observe ye justice, And execute righteousness, —For near, is My salvation, to come in, and My righteousness to be revealed.
2 Binecuvântat este omul care face aceasta şi fiul omului care se ţine de aceasta; care ţine sabatul ca să nu îl spurce şi îşi ţine mâna de la a face vreun rău.
How happy the frail man, who doeth this! Yea the son of the earth-born who firmly graspeth it! Keeping the sabbath lest he profane it, and Keeping his own hand from doing any wrong.
3 Nu lăsa pe fiul străinului, care s-a alăturat DOMNULUI, să vorbească, spunând: DOMNUL m-a separat în întregime de poporul lui; nici nu lăsa pe famen să spună: Iată, eu sunt un pom uscat.
And let not the son of the foreigner, who hath joined himself unto Yahweh, speak, saying, Yahweh, will separate, me from his people, Neither let the eunuch, say, Lo! I, am a tree dried up!
4 Fiindcă astfel spune DOMNUL, famenilor ce ţin sabatele mele şi aleg lucrurile care îmi plac mie şi apucă legământul meu;
For thus, saith Yahweh—Of the eunuchs, Who shall keep my sabbaths, And choose what I delight in, —And lay firm hold on my covenant,
5 Lor le voi da în casa mea şi în înăuntrul zidurilor mele un loc şi un nume mai bun decât al fiilor şi al fiicelor, le voi da un nume veşnic, ce nu va fi stârpit.
That I will give unto them—In my house, And within my walls, A sign and a name, better than sons and daughters, —A name age-abiding, will I give him, which shall not be cut off.
6 De asemenea fiii străinului, care se alătură DOMNULUI, pentru a-l servi şi pentru a iubi numele DOMNULUI, pentru a fi servitorii lui, oricine ţine sabatul ca să nu îl spurce şi apucă legământul meu;
And, as for the sons of the foreigner—Who have joined themselves unto Yahweh To wait upon him, and To love the name of Yahweh, To become his for servants, —Every one who keepeth the sabbath, lest he profane it. And who, layeth firm hold on my covenant,
7 Chiar pe ei îi voi aduce la muntele meu sfânt şi îi voi bucura în casa mea de rugăciune, ofrandele lor arse şi sacrificiile lor vor fi primite pe altarul meu; căci casa mea se va numi casă de rugăciune pentru toate popoarele.
Surely I will bring them into my holy mountain And make them joyful in my house of prayer, Their ascending-offerings and their sacrifices, being accepted upon mine altar, —For, my house, a house of prayer, shall be called, for all the peoples!
8 Domnul DUMNEZEU care adună pe proscrişii lui Israel spune: Voi aduna încă şi pe alţii la el, pe lângă cei adunaţi la el.
Declareth My Lord, Yahweh, Who is gathering the outcasts of Israel: —Yet others, will I gather unto him Besides his own gathered ones.
9 Voi, toate fiarele câmpului, veniţi să mâncaţi, da, voi, toate fiarele din pădure.
All ye beasts of the field! come ye to devour, All ye beasts in the forest.
10 Paznicii lui sunt orbi, sunt toţi neştiutori, ei sunt toţi câini muţi, nu pot lătra, dormind, stând întinşi, iubind să dormiteze.
His watchmen, are blind None of them, know, All of them, are dumb dogs, they cannot bark, —Dreaming, sleeping, loving to slumber.
11 Da, sunt câini lacomi care nu pot avea niciodată destul şi sunt păstori care nu pot înţelege, toţi privesc la propria cale, fiecare la câştigul său, din partea sa.
And, the dogs, are greedy they know not to be satisfied. Yea, they, are shepherds who know not to discern, —All of them unto their own way, have turned, Every man to his unjust gain, on every hand:
12 Veniţi, spun ei, voi aduce vin şi ne vom umple cu băutură tare; şi mâine va fi ca astăzi [şi] mult mai abundent.
Come ye! I will fetch wine Let us fill ourselves with strong drink, —And like this day, shall, to-morrow be—Great beyond measure!
