Isaia 54
1 Cântă, stearpo, tu care nu ai născut; izbucneşte în cântare şi strigă tare, tu care nu ai avut durerile naşterii, fiindcă mai mulţi sunt copiii celei pustiite decât copiii celei măritate, spune DOMNUL.
Sing, O barren, she hath not borne! Break forth with singing, and cry aloud, She hath not brought forth! For more [are] the sons of the desolate, Than the sons of the married one, said Jehovah.
2 Lărgeşte locul cortului tău şi să întindă ei perdelele locuinţelor tale, nu cruţa, lungeşte-ţi funiile şi întăreşte-ţi cuiele;
Enlarge the place of thy tent, And the curtains of thy tabernacles they stretch out, Restrain not — lengthen thy cords, And thy pins make strong.
3 Fiindcă te vei întinde în dreapta şi în stânga; şi sămânţa ta va moşteni neamurile şi va face cetăţile pustiite să fie locuite.
For right and left thou breakest forth, And thy seed doth nations possess,
4 Nu te teme, căci nu vei fi ruşinată, nici nu vei fi încurcată; fiindcă nu vei fi dată de ruşine, pentru că vei uita ruşinea tinereţii tale şi nu îţi vei mai aminti ocara văduviei tale.
And desolate cities they cause to be inhabited. Fear not, for thou art not ashamed, Nor blush, for thou art not confounded, For the shame of thy youth thou forgettest, And the reproach of thy widowhood Thou dost not remember any more.
5 Fiindcă Făcătorul tău este soţul tău; DOMNUL oştirilor este numele său; şi Răscumpărătorul tău, Cel Sfânt al lui Israel; Dumnezeul întregului pământ va fi el numit.
For thy Maker [is] thy husband, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name, And thy Redeemer [is] the Holy One of Israel, 'God of all the earth,' He is called.
6 Căci DOMNUL te-a chemat ca pe o femeie părăsită şi mâhnită în duh şi o soţie a tinereţii, când ai fost refuzată, spune Dumnezeul tău.
For, as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Called thee hath Jehovah, Even a youthful wife when she is refused, said thy God.
7 Pentru puţin timp te-am părăsit, dar cu îndurări mari te voi aduna.
In a small moment I have forsaken thee, And in great mercies I do gather thee,
8 Într-o fărâmă de furie mi-am ascuns faţa de tine pentru o clipă, dar cu bunătate veşnică voi avea milă de tine, spune DOMNUL, Răscumpărătorul tău.
In overflowing wrath I hid my face [for] a moment from thee, And in kindness age-during I have loved thee, Said thy Redeemer — Jehovah!
9 Fiindcă aceasta este ca apele lui Noe pentru mine, căci aşa cum am jurat că apele lui Noe nu vor mai trece peste pământ, tot astfel am jurat că nu mă voi mai înfuria pe tine, nici nu te voi mai mustra.
For, the waters of Noah [is] this to Me, In that I have sworn — the waters of Noah Do not pass again over the earth — So I have sworn, Wrath is not upon thee, Nor rebuke against thee.
10 Căci munţii se vor depărta şi dealurile vor fi mutate, dar bunătatea mea nu se va depărta de tine, nici legământul păcii mele nu va fi mutat, spune DOMNUL, care are milă de tine.
For the mountains depart, and the hills remove, And My kindness from thee departeth not, And the covenant of My peace removeth not, Said hath thy loving one — Jehovah.
11 Tu, cea chinuită, aruncată de furtună [şi] nemângâiată, iată, voi pune pietrele tale cu frumoase culori şi voi pune temeliile tale cu safire.
O afflicted, storm-tossed, not comforted, Lo, I am laying with cement thy stones, And have founded thee with sapphires,
12 Şi voi face ferestrele tale din agate şi porţile tale din rubine şi toate graniţele tale din pietre plăcute.
And have made of agate thy pinnacles, And thy gates of carbuncle stones, And all thy border of stones of delight,
13 Şi toţi copiii tăi vor fi discipoli ai DOMNULUI; şi mare va fi pacea copiilor tăi.
And all thy sons are taught of Jehovah, And abundant [is] the peace of thy sons.
14 În dreptate vei fi întemeiată; de oprimare vei fi departe, pentru că nu te vei teme; şi de groază, fiindcă nu se va apropia de tine.
In righteousness thou establishest thyself, Be far from oppression, for thou fearest not, And from ruin, for it cometh not near unto thee.
15 Iată, cu siguranţă ei se vor aduna, dar aceasta nu va fi de la mine, oricine se va aduna împotriva ta va cădea din cauza ta.
Lo, he doth diligently assemble without My desire, Who hath assembled near thee? By thee he falleth!
16 Iată, eu l-am creat pe fierar care suflă cărbunii în foc şi care aduce o unealtă pentru munca lui; şi l-am creat pe risipitorul pentru a distruge.
Lo, I — I have prepared an artisan, Blowing on a fire of coals, And bringing out an instrument for his work, And I have prepared a destroyer to destroy.
17 Nicio armă formată împotriva ta nu va prospera; şi fiecare limbă ce se va ridica împotriva ta în judecată o vei condamna. Aceasta este moştenirea servitorilor DOMNULUI şi dreptatea lor este de la mine, spune DOMNUL.
No weapon formed against thee prospereth, And every tongue rising against thee, In judgment thou condemnest. This [is] the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, And their righteousness from me, an affirmation of Jehovah!
