Isaia 4

1 Şi în acea zi, şapte femei vor apuca un bărbat, spunând: Vom mânca propria noastră pâine şi vom purta propriile noastre haine, lasă-ne doar să fim numite cu numele tău, pentru a îndepărta ocara noastră.

And seven women will take hold of one man in that day, saying, Our own bread, will we eat, And our own apparel, will we wear, —Only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

2 În acea zi, lăstarul DOMNULUI va fi minunat şi glorios şi rodul pământului măreţ şi frumos pentru cei din Israel care vor fi scăpat.

In that day, Shall the Bud of Yahweh, become beautiful and glorious, —And the Fruit of the Land splendid and majestic, To the escaped of Israel.

3 Şi se va întâmpla, că cel lăsat în Sion şi cel rămas în Ierusalim, va fi numit sfânt, oricine este scris printre cei vii în Ierusalim;

And it shall come to pass—He that is left in Zion! And he that remaineth in Jerusalem, Shall be called, holy, —Everyone written unto life in Jerusalem.

4 Când Domnul va fi spălat murdăria fiicelor Sionului şi va fi curăţat sângele Ierusalimului din mijlocul acestuia prin duhul judecăţii şi prin duhul arderii.

When My Lord shall have bathed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, And the blood-guiltiness of Jerusalem, he shall wash away out of her midst, —By the spirit of judgment, and By the spirit of thorough cleansing,

5 Şi DOMNUL va crea peste fiecare locuinţă a muntelui Sion şi peste adunările lui, un nor şi fum ziua, şi strălucirea unui foc arzând noaptea, fiindcă peste toată gloria va fi o adăpostire.

Then will Yahweh, create—Over all the home of Mount Zion and Over her assembly, A cloud by day and a smoke, And the shining of a fire-flame, by night, —For over all the glory, shall be a canopy;

6 Şi va fi un cort pentru umbră în timpul zilei împotriva căldurii, şi loc de scăpare şi adăpost împotriva furtunii şi ploii.

And a pavilion, shall there be For a shade by day, from the heat, —and For a refuge and for a shelter, from storm and from rain.
