Isaia 35
1 Pustiul şi locul uscat se vor veseli pentru ei; şi deşertul se va bucura şi va înflori ca trandafirul.
The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad thereat; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the lily.
2 Va înflori mult şi se va bucura cu bucurie şi cântare, gloria Libanului îi va fi dată, măreţia Carmelului şi a Saronului, vor vedea gloria DOMNULUI [şi] măreţia Dumnezeului nostru.
It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice, yea, with joy and singing; the glory of the Lebanon shall be given unto it, the elegance of Carmel and Sharon; they indeed shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.
3 Întăriţi mâinile slabe şi îndreptaţi genunchii care se clatină.
Strengthen ye weak hands, and stumbling knees make ye firm.
4 Spuneţi-le celor cu inimă temătoare: Fiţi tari, nu vă temeţi; iată, Dumnezeul vostru va veni [cu] răzbunare, Dumnezeu va veni cu o răsplătire; va veni şi vă va salva.
Say to the timid of heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God, [with] vengeance will he come, with God's recompense; it is he who will come and save you.
5 Atunci ochii orbilor vor fi deschişi şi urechile surzilor vor fi destupate.
Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Atunci şchiopul va sări ca un cerb şi limba mutului va cânta, căci ape vor ţâşni în pustiu şi pâraie în deşert.
Then shall the lame leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and brooks in the desert.
7 Şi pământul uscat va deveni iaz şi ţara însetată izvoare de apă; în locuinţa dragonilor, unde fiecare se întinde, va fi iarbă cu trestii şi papură.
And the sandy waste shall be changed into a pool, and the thirsty land into springs of water: in the habitation of monsters, where each one used to lie, shall be a court for reeds and rushes.
8 Şi va fi acolo un drum mare şi o cale, şi va fi numită Calea Sfinţeniei; cei necuraţi nu vor trece pe ea, ci va fi pentru cei sfinţi; trecătorii, chiar nebuni, nu se vor rătăci [în ea].
And there shall be a highway and a way, and The holy way, shall it be called; no unclean one shall pass over it; but it shall be [only] theirs; the wayfaring man, and those unacquainted [therewith], shall not go astray.
9 Niciun leu nu va fi acolo, nici vreo fiară răpitoare nu se va urca pe ea, nu se va găsi acolo, dar cei răscumpăraţi vor umbla pe ea,
No lion shall be there, and no ravenous beast shall go up thereon, shall not be found there; but there shall walk the redeemed:
10 Şi răscumpăraţii DOMNULUI se vor întoarce şi vor veni în Sion cu cântece şi bucurie veşnică pe capetele lor, bucurie şi veselie vor căpăta, iar întristarea şi vaietul vor fugi.
And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with song, with everlasting joy upon their head; gladness and joy shall they obtain, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
