Isaia 32
1 Iată, un împărat va domni cu dreptate şi prinţii vor conduce cu judecată.
Behold a king shall reign in justice, and princes shell rule in judgment.
2 Şi un om va fi ca un ascunziş împotriva vântului şi un adăpost împotriva vijeliei; ca râurile de apă într-un loc uscat, ca umbra unei mari stânci într-o ţară însetată.
And a man shall be as when one is hid from the wind, and hideth himself from a storm, as rivers of waters in drought, and the shadow of a rock that standeth out in a desert land.
3 Şi ochii celor care văd nu vor fi slabi şi urechile celor care aud vor da ascultare.
The eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken diligently.
4 De asemenea inima celor pripiţi va înţelege cunoaşterea, şi limba bâlbâiţilor va fi gata să vorbească deschis.
And the heart of fools shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of stammerers shall speak readily and plain.
5 Nemernicul nu va mai fi numit darnic, nici despre zgârcit nu se va spune că este mărinimos.
The fool shall no more be called prince: neither shall the deceitful be called great:
6 Căci nemernicul va vorbi ticăloşie şi inima lui va lucra nelegiuire, pentru a practica făţărnicie şi pentru a rosti falsitate împotriva DOMNULUI, pentru a goli sufletul celui flămând, şi va face băutura celui însetat să se sfârșească.
For the fool will speak foolish things, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and speak to the Lord deceitfully, and to make empty the soul of the hungry, and take away drink from the thirsty.
7 De asemenea instrumentele zgârcitului sunt rele; el plănuieşte planuri stricate pentru a nimici pe cei săraci prin cuvinte mincinoase, chiar când nevoiaşul vorbeşte drept.
The vessels of the deceitful are most wicked: for he hath framed devices to destroy the meek, with lying words, when the poor man speaketh judgment.
8 Dar cel darnic plănuieşte lucruri darnice; şi prin lucruri darnice va sta el în picioare.
But the prince will devise such things as are worthy of a prince, and he shall stand above the rulers.
9 Ridicaţi-vă femei fără grijă; ascultaţi-mi vocea, fiice nepăsătoare; plecaţi urechea la vorbirea mea.
Rise up, ye rich women, and hear my voice: ye confident daughters, give ear to my speech.
10 Multe zile şi mulţi ani veţi fi tulburate, femei nepăsătoare, fiindcă recolta strugurilor va înceta, culesul nu va veni.
For after days and a year, you that are confident shall be troubled: for the vintage is at an end, the gathering shall come no more.
11 Tremuraţi, femei fără grijă; tulburaţi-vă, voi, cele nepăsătoare; dezbrăcaţi-vă şi dezgoliţi-vă şi încingeţi pânză de sac peste coapsele voastre.
Be astonished, ye rich women, be troubled, ye confident ones: strip yen, and be confounded, gird your loins.
12 Vor plânge pentru sâni, pentru câmpurile plăcute, pentru via roditoare,
Mourn for your breasts, for the delightful country, for the fruitful vineyard.
13 Peste ţara poporului meu vor veni spini şi mărăcini; da, peste toate casele de bucurie în cetatea bucuroasă;
Upon the land of my people shall thorns and briers come up: how much more upon all the houses of joy, of the city that rejoiced?
14 Pentru că palatele vor fi părăsite; mulţimea cetăţii va fi părăsită; fortăreţele şi turnurile vor fi ca vizuini pentru totdeauna, o bucurie a măgarilor sălbatici, o păşune a turmelor;
For the house is forsaken, the multitude of the city is left, darkness and obscurity are come upon its dens for ever. A joy of wild asses, the pastures of flocks,
15 Până când duhul va fi turnat de sus peste noi şi pustiul va fi un câmp roditor şi câmpul roditor socotit ca pădure.
Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high: and the desert shall be as a charmel, and charmel shall be counted for a forest.
16 Atunci judecata va locui în pustiu şi dreptatea va rămâne în câmpul roditor.
And judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and justice shall sit in charmel.
17 Şi lucrarea dreptăţii va fi pace; şi lucrarea dreptăţii linişte şi asigurare pentru totdeauna.
And the work of justice shall be peace, and the service of justice quietness, and security for ever.
18 Şi poporul meu va locui într-o locuinţă paşnică şi în case sigure şi în locuri de odihnă liniştite;
And my people shall sit in the beauty of peace, and in the tabernacles of confidence, and in wealthy rest.
19 Când va ploua cu grindină, coborând peste pădure; şi cetatea va fi jos într-un loc de jos.
But hail shall be in the descent of the forest, and the city shall be made very low.
20 Binecuvântaţi sunteţi voi, care semănaţi lângă toate apele, care trimiteţi acolo picioarele boului şi ale măgarului.
Blessed are ye that sow upon all waters, sending thither the foot of the ox and the ass.
