Osea 5
1 Ascultaţi aceasta, voi preoţilor; şi daţi ascultare, voi casă a lui Israel, şi deschide urechea, casă a împăratului; fiindcă judecată este către voi, pentru că aţi fost o capcană la Miţpa şi o plasă întinsă asupra Taborului.
Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment [is] toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
2 Şi răzvrătiţii sunt profunzi pentru a face măcel, deşi eu i-am mustrat pe toţi.
And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I [have been] a rebuker of them all.
3 Eu cunosc pe Efraim şi Israel nu este ascuns de mine; fiindcă acum, Efraime, tu curveşti şi Israel se întinează.
I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, [and] Israel is defiled.
4 Ei nu îşi vor pregăti faptele pentru a se întoarce la Dumnezeul lor, pentru că duhul curviilor este în mijlocul lor şi nu au cunoscut pe DOMNUL.
They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms [is] in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.
5 Şi mândria lui Israel mărturiseşte înaintea feţei lui; de aceea Israel şi Efraim vor cădea în nelegiuirea lor; Iuda de asemenea va cădea cu ei.
And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.
6 Ei vor merge cu turmele lor şi cu cirezile lor să caute pe DOMNUL; dar nu îl vor găsi; el s-a retras de la ei.
They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find [him; ] he hath withdrawn himself from them.
7 S-au purtat perfid împotriva DOMNULUI; fiindcă au născut copii străini; încă o lună îi va mistui împreună cu porţiile lor.
They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
8 Sunaţi cornul în Ghibea şi trâmbiţa în Rama; strigaţi tare la Bet-Aven, înapoia ta, Beniamine.
Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, [and] the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud [at] Beth-aven, after thee, O Benjamin.
9 Efraim va fi pustiit în ziua mustrării; printre triburile lui Israel am făcut cunoscut ceea ce cu siguranţă va fi.
Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
10 Prinţii lui Iuda au fost asemenea celor ce mută graniţa; de aceea îmi voi turna furia mea asupra lor, ca apa.
The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: [therefore] I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
11 Efraim este oprimat şi zdrobit în judecată, pentru că de bunăvoie a umblat după poruncă.
Ephraim [is] oppressed [and] broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.
12 De aceea voi fi pentru Efraim ca molia şi pentru casa lui Iuda ca putrezirea.
Therefore [will] I [be] unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
13 Când Efraim şi-a văzut boala şi Iuda şi-a văzut rana, atunci Efraim a mers la asirian şi a trimis la împăratul Iareb; totuşi el nu a putut să vă vindece, nici să vă lecuiască rana.
When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah [saw] his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
14 Fiindcă voi fi pentru Efraim ca un leu şi ca un leu tânăr pentru casa lui Iuda; eu, chiar eu, voi sfâşia şi voi pleca; voi lua şi nimeni nu îl va salva.
For I [will be] unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, [even] I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue [him].
15 Voi merge şi mă voi întoarce la locul meu, până ei îşi vor recunoaşte poticnirea şi vor căuta faţa mea; în nenorocirea lor mă vor căuta devreme.
I will go [and] return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
