Osea 3

1 Atunci DOMNUL mi-a spus: Du-te din nou, iubeşte o femeie iubită de un prieten şi adulteră, iubeşte-o conform cu iubirea DOMNULUI către copiii lui Israel, care privesc la alţi dumnezei şi iubesc ulcioarele de vin.

And the LORD said unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of [her] friend and an adulteress, even as the LORD loveth the children of Israel, though they turn unto other gods, and love cakes of raisins.

2 Astfel, mi-am cumpărat-o cu cincisprezece arginţi şi pentru un homer de orz şi o jumătate de homer de orz;

So I bought her to me for fifteen [pieces] of silver, and an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:

3 Şi i-am spus: Să rămâi aici pentru mine multe zile; să nu curveşti şi să nu fii pentru alt bărbat; astfel voi fi şi eu pentru tine.

and I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be any man’s wife: so will I also be toward thee.

4 Căci copiii lui Israel vor rămâne multe zile fără un împărat şi fără un prinţ şi fără un sacrificiu şi fără chip cioplit şi fără un efod şi fără terafim;

For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without pillar, and without ephod or teraphim.

5 După aceasta copiii lui Israel se vor întoarce şi vor căuta pe DOMNUL Dumnezeul lor şi pe David împăratul lor; şi se vor teme de DOMNUL şi de bunătatea lui în zilele de pe urmă.

afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall come with fear unto the LORD and to his goodness in the latter days.
