Evrei 3
1 De aceea, frați sfinți, părtași ai chemării cerești, luați aminte la Apostolul și Marele Preot al mărturisirii noastre, Cristos Isus,
Whence, holy brethren, partners, in a heavenly calling, attentively consider the Apostle and High—priest of our confession—Jesus
2 Care a fost credincios celui ce l-a rânduit, așa cum și Moise a fost credincios în toată casa lui.
As one, faithful, to him who made him: as, Moses also, in [all] his house.
3 Fiindcă acesta a fost considerat demn de mai multă glorie decât Moise, întrucât cel ce a zidit casa are o mai mare onoare decât casa.
For, of more glory than Moses, hath, this one been counted worthy—by as much as more honour than, the house, hath, he that prepared it;
4 Căci fiecare casă este zidită de cineva, dar cel ce zidește toate este Dumnezeu.
For, every house, is prepared by someone, —but, he that hath prepared all things, is, God.
5 Și Moise, într-adevăr, a fost credincios în toată casa lui ca servitor, pentru mărturia acelor lucruri ce urmau să fie vorbite după aceea;
Even Moses, indeed, was faithful in all his house, as an attendant, for a witness of the things which were to be spoken;
6 Dar Cristos ca fiu peste propria lui casă; a cărui casă suntem noi, dacă neclintit ținem strâns cutezanța și bucuria speranței, până la sfârșit.
But, Christ, as, a Son, over his house, —whose house are, we, —if, the freedom of speech and boast of the hope, [throughout, firm, ] we hold fast.
7 De aceea, (așa cum spune Duhul Sfânt: Astăzi, dacă veți auzi vocea lui,
Wherefore, —according as saith the Holy Spirit—To-day, if, unto his voice ye would hearken, do not
8 Nu vă împietriți inimile, ca în răzvrătire, în ziua ispitirii în pustie,
harden your hearts, —as in the embitterment, in the day of testing in the desert,
9 Când părinții voștri m-au ispitit, m-au încercat și au văzut faptele mele patruzeci de ani.
When your fathers tested by proving, and saw my works forty years.
10 De aceea m-am mâhnit pe această generație și am spus: Ei totdeauna se rătăcesc în inima lor și nu au cunoscut căile mele.
Wherefore I was sore vexed with this generation, and said, Always err they in their heart; —howbeit, they, learned not my ways:
11 Așa că am jurat în furia mea: Nu vor intra în odihna mea).
So I sware in mine anger—they shall not enter into my rest!—
12 Luați seama, fraților, ca nu cumva să fie în vreunul dintre voi o inimă rea a necredinței, pentru a se îndepărta de Dumnezeul cel viu.
Be taking heed, brethren, lest at any time, there shall be in any one of you, a wicked heart of unbelief, in revolting from a Living God.
13 Ci îndemnați-vă zilnic unii pe alții, cât timp se spune: Astăzi, ca nu cumva să fie vreunul dintre voi împietrit prin înșelătoria păcatului.
But be exhorting one another, on each successive day, —while the To-day is being named! lest any from among you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
14 Fiindcă suntem făcuți părtași ai lui Cristos, dacă ținem strâns începutul încrederii noastre neclintit până la sfârșit;
For, partners of the Christ, have we become, —if, at least, the beginning of the confidence, throughout, firm, we hold fast:
15 Deoarece se spune: Astăzi, dacă veți auzi vocea lui, nu vă împietriți inimile ca în răzvrătire.
So long as it is said—To-day, if, unto his voice, ye would hearken, do not harden your hearts, —as in the embitterment.
16 Fiindcă unii, după ce au auzit, s-au răzvrătit; însă nu toți care au ieșit din Egipt, prin Moise.
For, who, though they heard, caused embitterment? Nay, indeed! did not all who come forth out of Egypt through Moses?
17 Dar pe cine s-a mâhnit el patruzeci de ani? Nu pe cei ce au păcătuit, ale căror trupuri moarte au căzut în pustie?
But, with whom, was be sore vexed forty years? Was it not with them who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the desert?
18 Și cui a jurat el că nu vor intra în odihna lui, dacă nu celor ce nu au crezut?
But, unto whom, sware he, that they should not enter into his rest, —save unto them who were obstinate?
19 Așadar, vedem că nu au putut să intre din cauza necredinței.
And we see, that they were not able to enter, because of unbelief.
