Geneză 45
1 Atunci Iosif nu s-a putut stăpâni înaintea tuturor celor ce stăteau lângă el şi a strigat: Scoateţi afară pe fiecare bărbat de la mine. Şi nu a stat niciun bărbat cu el în timp ce Iosif s-a făcut cunoscut fraţilor săi.
Then Ioseph could not refraine him selfe before all that stoode by him, but hee cryed, Haue forth euery man from me. And there taryed not one with him, while Ioseph vttered himselfe vnto his brethren.
2 Şi a plâns, ridicând vocea; şi egiptenii şi casa lui Faraon au auzit.
And hee wept and cried, so that the Egyptians heard: the house of Pharaoh heard also.
3 Şi Iosif a spus fraţilor săi: Eu sunt Iosif, mai trăieşte tatăl meu? Şi fraţii lui nu au putut să îi răspundă pentru că au fost tulburaţi de prezenţa lui.
Then Ioseph sayde to his brethren, I am Ioseph: doeth my father yet liue? But his brethren coulde not answere him, for they were astonished at his presence.
4 Şi Iosif a spus fraţilor săi: Apropiaţi-vă de mine, vă rog. Şi s-au apropiat. Iar el a spus: Eu sunt Iosif, fratele vostru, pe care l-aţi vândut în Egipt.
Againe, Ioseph sayde to his brethren, Come neere, I pray you, to mee. And they came neere. And he sayde, I am Ioseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
5 Acum pentru aceasta nu fiţi îndureraţi, nici mânioşi pe voi înşivă, că m-aţi vândut aici; căci Dumnezeu m-a trimis înaintea voastră pentru a păstra viaţa.
Nowe therefore be not sad, neither grieued with your selues, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you for your preseruation.
6 Pentru că în aceşti doi ani a fost foametea în ţară; şi mai sunt cinci ani, în care nu va fi nici arat nici secerat.
For nowe two yeeres of famine haue bene through ye land, and fiue yeeres are behind, wherein neither shalbe earing nor haruest.
7 Şi Dumnezeu m-a trimis înaintea voastră pentru a vă păstra o posteritate pe pământ şi pentru a vă salva vieţile printr-o mare eliberare.
Wherefore God sent me before you to preserue your posteritie in this land, and to saue you aliue by a great deliuerance.
8 Aşa că acum nu voi sunteţi cei ce m-aţi trimis aici, ci Dumnezeu; şi m-a făcut un tată lui Faraon şi domn a toată casa lui şi un stăpân peste toată ţara Egiptului.
Now the you sent not me hither, but God, who hath made mee a father vnto Pharaoh, and lorde of all his house, and ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
9 Grăbiţi-vă şi urcaţi la tatăl meu şi spuneţi-i: Astfel spune fiul tău, Iosif: Dumnezeu m-a făcut domn a tot Egiptul; coboară la mine, nu întârzia;
Haste you and go vp to my father, and tel him, Thus saieth thy sonne Ioseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come downe to me, tary not.
10 Şi vei locui în ţinutul Gosen şi vei fi aproape de mine, tu şi copiii tăi şi copiii copiilor tăi şi turmele tale şi cirezile tale şi tot ce ai;
And thou shalt dwel in ye land of Goshen, and shalt be neere me, thou and thy children, and thy childrens children, and thy sheepe, and thy beastes, and all that thou hast.
11 Şi acolo te voi hrăni, pentru că sunt încă cinci ani de foamete; ca nu cumva tu şi casa ta şi tot ce ai, să ajungă la sărăcie.
Also I will nourish thee there (for yet remaine fiue yeeres of famine) lest thou perish through pouertie, thou and thy houshold, and all that thou hast.
12 Şi, iată, ochii voştri şi ochii lui Beniamin, fratele meu, văd că aceasta este gura mea care vă vorbeşte.
And behold, your eyes doe see, and the eyes of my brother Beniamin, that my mouth speaketh to you.
13 Şi să spuneţi tatălui meu despre toată gloria mea în Egipt şi despre tot ce aţi văzut; şi grăbiţi-vă şi coborâţi pe tatăl meu aici.
Therefore tel my father of al mine honour in Egypt, and of all that ye haue seene, and make haste, and bring my father hither.
14 Şi a căzut pe gâtul fratelui său Beniamin şi a plâns; şi Beniamin a plâns pe gâtul său.
Then hee fell on his brother Beniamins necke, and wept, and Beniamin wept on his necke.
15 Mai mult, a sărutat pe toţi fraţii săi şi a plâns asupra lor; şi după aceea fraţii săi au vorbit cu el.
Moreouer, he kissed all his brethren, and wept vpon them: and afterwarde his brethren talked with him.
16 Şi vestea despre aceasta s-a auzit în casa lui Faraon, spunând: Fraţii lui Iosif au venit; şi aceasta i-a plăcut mult lui Faraon şi servitorilor săi.
And the tidinges came vnto Pharaohs house, so that they said, Iosephs brethre are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his seruants.
17 Şi Faraon i-a spus lui Iosif: Spune fraţilor tăi: Aceasta să faceţi voi: încărcaţi-vă vitele şi mergeţi, duceţi-vă în ţara lui Canaan;
Then Pharaoh said vnto Ioseph, Say to thy brethren, This doe ye, lade your beastes and depart, go to the land of Canaan,
18 Şi luaţi pe tatăl vostru şi casele voastre şi veniţi la mine; şi vă voi da bunătatea ţării Egiptului şi veţi mânca grăsimea ţării.
And take your father, and your houshoulds, and come to me, and I wil giue you the best of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eate of the fat of the land.
19 Acum ţie îţi este poruncit, aceasta să faceţi: luaţi care din ţara Egiptului pentru micuţii voştri şi pentru soţiile voastre şi aduceţi pe tatăl vostru şi veniţi.
And I commaund thee, Thus doe ye, take you charets out of the lande of Egypt for your children, and for your wiues, and bring your father and come.
20 De asemenea nu luaţi aminte la lucrurile voastre; căci bunătatea a toată ţara Egiptului este a voastră.
Also regarde not your stuffe: for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.
21 Şi copiii lui Israel au făcut astfel; şi Iosif le-a dat care, conform poruncii lui Faraon, şi le-a dat provizii pentru drum.
And the children of Israel did so: and Ioseph gaue them charets according to the commandement of Pharaoh: hee gaue them vitaile also for the iourney.
22 Tuturor el le-a dat, fiecărui bărbat, schimburi de haine; dar lui Beniamin i-a dat trei sute de arginţi şi cinci schimburi de haine.
He gaue them all, none except, change of raiment: but vnto Beniamin he gaue three hundreth pieces of siluer, and fiue sutes of raiment.
23 Şi tatălui său i-a trimis în felul acesta: zece măgari încărcaţi cu lucrurile bune ale Egiptului şi zece măgăriţe încărcate cu grâne şi pâine şi mâncare pentru tatăl său pentru drum.
And vnto his father likewise hee sent ten hee asses laden with the best things of Egypt, and ten shee asses laden with wheate, and bread and meate for his father by the way.
24 Aşa că el a trimis pe fraţii săi, iar ei au plecat; şi le-a spus: Vedeţi să nu vă certaţi pe drum.
So sent he his brethren away, and they departed: and he sayde vnto them, Fall not out by the way.
25 Şi au urcat din Egipt şi au venit în ţara lui Canaan la Iacob, tatăl lor,
Then they went vp from Egypt, and came vnto the land of Canaan vnto Iaakob their father,
26 Şi i-au istorisit, spunând: Iosif este încă în viaţă şi este guvernator peste toată ţara Egiptului. Şi inima lui Iacob s-a oprit, pentru că nu i-a crezut.
And tolde him, saying, Ioseph is yet aliue, and he also is gouernour ouer all the lande of Egypt, and Iaakobs heart failed: for he beleeued them not.
27 Iar ei i-au spus toate cuvintele lui Iosif, pe care le spusese către ei; şi când a văzut carele pe care Iosif le-a trimis să îl ducă, duhul lui Iacob, tatăl lor, a reînviat;
And they told him al the words of Ioseph, which he had said vnto the: but when he saw the charets, which Ioseph had sent to cary him, then the spirit of Iaakob their father reuiued.
28 Şi Israel a spus: Este de ajuns; Iosif, fiul meu, este încă în viaţă; voi merge şi îl voi vedea înainte să mor.
And Israel said, I haue inough: Ioseph my sonne is yet aliue: I will go and see him yer I die.
