Ezra 1
1 Şi, în anul întâi al lui Cirus, împăratul Persiei, ca să fie împlinit cuvântul DOMNULUI rostit prin gura lui Ieremia, DOMNUL a stârnit duhul lui Cirus împăratul Persiei, încât el a făcut o proclamaţie în toată împărăţia sa şi a pus-o de asemenea în scris, spunând:
In the first year of Cyrus, king of Persia, Yahweh fulfilled his word that came from the mouth of Jeremiah, and stirred Cyrus's spirit. Cyrus' voice went out over his entire kingdom. This is what was written and spoken:
2 Astfel zice Cirus, împăratul Persiei: DOMNUL Dumnezeul cerului mi-a dat toate împărăţiile pământului; şi mi-a poruncit să îi construiesc o casă în Ierusalim, care este în Iuda.
“Cyrus, king of Persia, says: Yahweh, God of Heaven, gave me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he appointed me to build for him a house in Jerusalem in Judea.
3 Cine este dintre voi din tot poporul său? Dumnezeul său să fie cu el şi să se urce la Ierusalim, care este în Iuda, şi să construiască acolo casa DOMNULUI Dumnezeului lui Israel (el este Dumnezeul), care este în Ierusalim.
Whoever is from his people (may his God be with him) may go up to Jerusalem and build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel, the God who is in Jerusalem.
4 Şi pe oricine rămâne, în orice loc unde el locuieşte temporar, oamenii locului să îl ajute cu argint şi cu aur şi cu bunuri şi cu animale, în afară de darul de bunăvoie pentru casa lui Dumnezeu care este în Ierusalim.
People of any part of the kingdom where survivors of that land are living should provide them with silver and gold, possessions and animals, as well as a freewill offering for God's house in Jerusalem.”
5 Atunci s-au ridicat mai marii părinţilor lui Iuda şi lui Beniamin şi preoţii şi leviţii, împreună cu toţi aceia al căror duh Dumnezeu îl ridicase, pentru a se urca să construiască acolo casa DOMNULUI care este în Ierusalim.
Then the heads of the ancestors' clans of Judah and Benjamin, the priests and Levites, and everyone whose spirit God stirred to go and build his house arose.
6 Și toți din împrejurul lor le-au întărit mâinile cu vase de argint, cu aur, cu bunuri şi cu animale şi cu lucruri preţioase, în afară de tot ce era oferit de bunăvoie.
Those around them supported their work with silver and gold objects, possessions, animals, valuables, and freewill offerings.
7 De asemenea împăratul Cirus a scos vasele casei DOMNULUI, pe care Nebucadneţar le-a scos din Ierusalim şi le-a pus în casa dumnezeilor săi;
Cyrus king of Persia also released the objects belonging to Yahweh's house that Nebuchadnezzar had brought from Jerusalem and put in his own gods' houses.
8 Chiar pe acelea Cirus, împăratul Persiei, le-a scos prin mâna lui Mitredat trezorierul, şi le-a numărat lui Şeşbaţar, prinţul lui Iuda.
Cyrus put them into the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, who counted them out for Sheshbazzar, Judea's leader.
9 Şi acesta este numărul lor: treizeci de platouri de aur, o mie de platouri de argint, douăzeci şi nouă de cuţite,
This was their number: thirty gold basins, one thousand silver basins, twenty-nine other basins,
10 Treizeci de oale de aur, oale de argint de al doilea fel patru sute zece şi alte vase o mie.
thirty gold bowls, 410 small silver bowls, and one thousand additional objects.
11 Toate vasele de aur şi de argint erau cinci mii patru sute. Pe toate acestea Şeşbaţar le-a adus cu cei din captivitate care au fost aduşi din Babilon la Ierusalim.
There were 5,400 gold and silver items in all. Sheshbazzar brought all of them when the exiles went from Babylon to Jerusalem.
