Ezechiel 22
1 Mai mult, cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la mine, spunând:
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
2 Și tu, fiu al omului, vei judeca, vei judeca tu cetatea sângeroasă? Da, fă-o să cunoască toate urâciunile ei.
Punish, punish, son of man, the city of blood, and show her all her abominations, and say,
3 Atunci să spui: Astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEU: Cetatea varsă sânge în mijlocul ei, ca să vină timpul ei și își face idoli împotriva ei însăși pentru a se pângări.
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: O city that sheddest blood in the midst of thee, that thy time may come, and makest idols to defile thyself!
4 Tu ai devenit vinovată în sângele tău pe care l-ai vărsat; și te-ai pângărit în idolii tăi pe care i-ai făcut; și ai făcut ca zilele tale să se apropie și ai ajuns la anii tăi; de aceea te-am făcut ocară pentru păgâni și batjocură pentru toate țările.
Through the blood which thou sheddest thou bringest guilt upon thyself, and through the idols which thou makest thou pollutest thyself, and thou causest thy days to draw near, and comest to thy years. Therefore do I make thee a reproach to the nations, and a derision to all countries.
5 [Cei de] aproape și [cei de] departe de tine te vor batjocori, [pe tine care ești] mârșavă [și] mult chinuită.
Those that are near, and those that are far from thee, shall mock thee as infamous, full of confusion.
6 Iată, prinții lui Israel, fiecare, au fost în tine ca să verse sânge după puterea lor.
Behold the princes of Israel are engaged every one according to his strength within thee to shed blood.
7 În tine au disprețuit pe tată și pe mamă; în mijlocul tău s-au purtat cu oprimare cu străinul; în tine au chinuit pe cel fără tată și pe văduvă.
In thee they set light by father and mother; in thee are they guilty of oppression to the stranger; in thee do they oppress the fatherless and the widow.
8 Ai disprețuit lucrurile mele sfinte și ai pângărit sabatele mele.
Thou hast despised my holy things, and profaned my sabbaths.
9 În tine sunt oameni defăimători pentru a vărsa sânge; și în tine ei mănâncă pe munți; în mijlocul tău ei lucrează cu desfrânare.
In thee are men who carry tales, that they may shed blood; in thee do they eat upon the mountains; in the midst of thee do they commit lewdness.
10 În tine au descoperit ei goliciunea tatălui lor; în tine au umilit pe cea care era pusă deoparte din cauza murdăriei.
In thee doth the son uncover the father's nakedness; in thee do they lie with a woman in her uncleanness.
11 Și unul a făcut urâciune cu soția aproapelui său; și un altul a pângărit-o cu desfrânare pe nora lui; iar un altul în tine a umilit-o pe sora sa, pe fiica tatălui său.
And one committeth abomination with his neighbor's wife; and another, with incestuous lewdness, defileth his daughter-in-law; and in thee another lieth with his sister, his father's daughter.
12 În tine au luat ei daruri pentru a vărsa sânge; ai luat camătă și dobândă și ai câștigat cu lăcomie de la aproapele tău prin jecmănire și pe mine m-ai uitat, spune Domnul DUMNEZEU.
In thee do they take a reward to shed blood. Thou takest usury and increase, and thou hast enriched thyself from thy neighbor by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord Jehovah.
13 Iată, de aceea am bătut din mâna mea la câștigul tău necinstit pe care l-ai câștigat și la sângele tău care a fost în mijlocul tău.
Therefore, behold, I have smitten my hands together at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at the blood which hath been shed in the midst of thee.
14 Poate inima ta să îndure sau pot mâinile tale să fie tari, în zilele în care mă voi ocupa de tine? Eu DOMNUL am vorbit aceasta și [o] voi face.
Can thy heart endure, or can thy hands be strong, in the day when I shall deal with thee? I, Jehovah, have spoken it, and will do it.
15 Și te voi împrăștia printre păgâni și te voi risipi în țări și voi mistui necurăția din tine.
I will scatter thee among the nations, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thine impurity out of thee;
16 Și îți vei lua moștenirea în tine însuți înaintea ochilor păgânilor și vei cunoaște că eu [sunt] DOMNUL.
and thou shalt through thyself be profaned before the eyes of the nations, and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.
17 Și cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la mine, spunând:
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
18 Fiu al omului, casa lui Israel a devenit pentru mine [ca o] zgură; ei toți [sunt] aramă și cositor și fier și plumb în mijlocul cuptorului; ei sunt zgura argintului.
Son of man, the house of Israel is become dross to me; all of them are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are the dross of silver.
19 De aceea astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEU: Pentru că toți ați devenit zgură, iată, de aceea vă voi aduna în mijlocul Ierusalimului.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye are all of you become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
20 [Precum] ei adună argint și aramă și fier și plumb și cositor în mijlocul cuptorului, pentru a sufla focul asupra lor, să [le] topească; tot astfel vă [voi] aduna în mânia mea și în furia mea și vă [voi] lăsa [acolo] și vă voi topi.
As men gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it, so will I gather you in my anger and in my fury, and I will place you there and melt you.
21 Da, vă voi aduna și voi sufla asupra voastră în focul mâniei mele și veți fi topiți în mijlocul lui.
Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you with the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.
22 Precum este topit argintul în mijlocul cuptorului, tot astfel veți fi topiți în mijlocul lui; și veți cunoaște că eu, DOMNUL, mi-am turnat furia asupra voastră.
As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, have poured out my fury upon you.
23 Și cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la mine, spunând:
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
24 Fiu al omului, spune-i ei: Tu [ești] țara necurățită, fără ploaie în ziua indignării.
Son of man, say to her, Thou art a land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
25 [Este] o uneltire a profeților ei în mijlocul ei, ca un leu care răcnește, sfâșiind prada; ei au mâncat suflete; au luat tezaurul și lucrurile prețioase; i-au făcut multe văduve în mijlocul ei.
There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst of her; like a roaring lion tearing the prey, they devour the lives of men; they take possession of treasures, and precious things, and make many widows in the midst of her.
26 Preoții ei au violat legea mea și au spurcat lucrurile mele sfinte; nu au făcut deosebire între [ce este] sfânt și [ce] nu [este] sfânt, nici nu au arătat [deosebire] dintre necurat și curat și și-au ascuns ochii de la sabatele mele și eu sunt spurcat printre ei.
Her priests violate my law, and profane my holy things. They make no distinction between the holy and profane, and show not the difference between the clean and the unclean; and they hide their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
27 Prinții ei în mijlocul ei [sunt] ca lupi sfâșiind prada, pentru a vărsa sânge [și] pentru a nimici suflete, pentru a obține câștig necinstit.
Her princes in the midst of her are like wolves tearing the prey. They shed blood, they destroy life, that they may get gain.
28 Și profeții ei i-au tencuit cu [mortar] nestins, văzând deșertăciune și ghicindu-le minciuni, spunând: Astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEU, când DOMNUL nu a vorbit.
Her prophets daub for them with untempered mortar, seeing falsehood, and divining to them, saying, “Thus saith the Lord Jehovah,” when Jehovah hath not spoken.
29 Poporul țării a lucrat cu oprimare și a practicat hoția și au chinuit pe cel sărac și pe cel nevoiaș; da, ei au oprimat pe străin pe nedrept.
The people of the land are guilty of oppression, and practise robbery, and distress the poor and needy; yea, they oppress the stranger, and have no justice.
30 Și eu am căutat un om printre ei, care să facă îngrăditura și să stea neclintit în spărtură, înaintea mea, pentru țară, ca să nu o distrug; dar nu am găsit pe nimeni.
I have sought for a man among them that should make a wall, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I might not destroy it; but I found none.
31 De aceea mi-am turnat indignarea asupra lor; i-am mistuit cu focul mâniei mele; le-am întors calea asupra capului lor, spune Domnul DUMNEZEU.
Therefore will I pour out my indignation upon them; I will consume them with the fire of my wrath; I will bring their way upon their heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.
