Ezechiel 19
1 Mai mult, înalță o plângere pentru prinții lui Israel,
And thou, sone of man, take weiling on the princes of Israel;
2 Și spune: Ce [este] mama ta? O leoaică; ea s-a culcat printre lei, și-a hrănit puii printre leii tineri.
and thou schalt seie, Whi thi modir, a lionesse, lai among liouns? In the myddis of litle liouns sche nurschide hir whelpis,
3 Și a crescut pe unul dintre puii ei; el care a devenit un leu tânăr și a învățat să prindă prada; a mâncat oameni.
and ledde out oon of hir litle liouns; he was maad a lioun, and he lernyde to take prei, and to ete men.
4 Națiunile de asemenea au auzit despre el; a fost prins în groapa lor și l-au adus cu lanțuri în țara Egiptului.
And hethene men herden of hym, and token hym not withouten her woundis; and thei brouyten hym in chaynes in to the lond of Egipt.
5 Și după ce ea a văzut că a așteptat [în zadar și] speranța ei a fost pierdută, atunci a luat pe un altul dintre puii ei [și] l-a făcut un leu tânăr.
Which modir whanne sche hadde seyn, that sche was sijk, and the abiding of hym perischide, took oon of her litle liouns, and made hym a lioun.
6 Și el se urca și cobora printre lei, a devenit un leu tânăr și a învățat să prindă prada [și] a mâncat oameni.
Which yede among liouns, and was maad a lioun;
7 Și a cunoscut palatele lor pustii și le-a risipit cetățile; și țara a fost pustiită și plinătatea ei, prin zgomotul răcnetului său.
and lernede to take prey, and to deuoure men. He lernyde to make widewis, and to brynge the citees of men in to desert; and the lond and the fulnesse therof was maad desolat, of the vois of his roryng.
8 Atunci națiunile s-au pus împotriva lui de fiecare parte a provinciilor și și-au întins plasa asupra lui; el a fost prins în groapa lor.
And hethene men camen togidere ayens hym on ech side fro prouynces, and spredden on hym her net; he was takun in the woundis of tho hethene men.
9 Și l-au pus sub pază în lanțuri și l-au adus la împăratul Babilonului; l-au adus în întărituri, ca vocea lui să nu mai fie auzită pe munții lui Israel.
And thei senten hym in to a caue in chaines, and brouyten hym to the kyng of Babiloyne; and thei senten hym in to prisoun, that his vois were no more herd on the hillis of Israel.
10 Mama ta [este] ca o viță în sângele tău, sădită lângă ape; ea a fost roditoare și plină de ramuri din cauza multor ape.
Thi modir as a vyner in thi blood was plauntid on watre; the fruitis therof and the boowis therof encreessiden of many watris.
11 Și avea toiege puternice pentru sceptrele celor care conduceau și statura ei era înălțată printre ramurile dese și se arăta în înălțimea ei cu mulțimea ramurilor ei.
And sadde yerdis weren maad to it in to septris of lordis, and the stature therof was enhaunsid among boowis; and it siy his hiynesse in the multitude of hise siouns.
12 Dar a fost smulsă în furie, a fost doborâtă la pământ și vântul de est i-a uscat rodul; toiegele ei puternice au fost frânte și vestejite; focul le-a mistuit.
And it was drawun out in wraththe, and was cast forth in to erthe; and a brennynge wynd dryede the fruyt therof, and the yerdis of strengthe therof welewiden, and weren maad drie, and fier eet it.
13 Și acum ea [este] sădită în pustie, într-un pământ uscat și însetat.
And now it is plauntid ouer in desert, in a lond with out weie, and thristi.
14 Și focul a ieșit dintr-un toiag al ramurilor ei, [care] i-a mâncat rodul, astfel încât ea nu [mai] are niciun toiag puternic [să fie] sceptru pentru a conduce. Aceasta [este] plângere și plângere va fi.
And fier yede out of the yerde of the braunchis therof, that eet the fruyt therof. And a stronge yerde, the ceptre of lordis, was not in it. It is weilyng, and it schal be in to weilyng.
