Ezechiel 16

1 Din nou cuvântul DOMNULUI a venit la mine, spunând:

Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:

2 Fiu al omului, fă cunoscute Ierusalimului urâciunile lui;

'Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,

3 Și spune: Astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEUL Ierusalimului: Originea ta și nașterea ta [sunt] din țara lui Canaan; tatăl tău [a fost] amorit și mama ta hitită.

and say: Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem: Thine origin and thy nativity is of the land of the Canaanite; the Amorite was thy father, and thy mother was a Hittite.

4 Și [cât despre] nașterea ta, în ziua în care ai fost născută, buricul tău nu s-a tăiat, nici nu ai fost spălată în apă pentru înmuiere; nu ai fost [tratată] deloc cu sare, nici înfășată deloc.

And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water for cleansing; thou was not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

5 Niciun ochi nu s-a milostivit de tine, pentru a-ți face ceva din acestea, să aibă milă de tine; ci ai fost aruncată în câmp deschis, pentru a fi detestată ființa ta, în ziua în care te-ai născut.

No eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field in the loathsomeness of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.

6 Și când eu am trecut pe lângă tine și te-am văzut murdărită în propriul tău sânge și ți-am spus [pe când erai] în sângele tău: Trăiește! Da, ți-am spus [pe când erai] în sângele tău: Trăiește!

And when I passed by thee, and saw thee wallowing in thy blood, I said unto thee: In thy blood, live; yea, I said unto thee: In thy blood, live;

7 Eu te-am făcut să te înmulțești ca mugurele câmpului și ai crescut și te-ai făcut mare și ai ajuns podoaba podoabelor; sânii [tăi] s-au rotunjit și părul tău a crescut, deși [erai] goală și fără haine.

I cause thee to increase, even as the growth of the field. And thou didst increase and grow up, and thou camest to excellent beauty: thy breasts were fashioned, and thy hair was grown; yet thou wast naked and bare.

8 Acum, după ce am trecut pe lângă tine și te-am privit, iată, timpul tău [era] timpul dragostei; și mi-am întins învelitoarea peste tine și ți-am acoperit goliciunea; da, ți-am jurat și am intrat în legământ cu tine, spune Domnul DUMNEZEU și tu ai devenit a mea.

Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, and, behold, thy time was the time of love, I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness; yea, I swore unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest Mine.

9 Atunci te-am spălat cu apă; da, ți-am spălat în întregime sângele de pe tine și te-am uns cu untdelemn.

Then washed I thee with water; yea, I cleansed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

10 Te-am îmbrăcat de asemenea cu lucrare brodată și te-am încălțat cu piele de bursuc și te-am încins cu in subțire și te-am acoperit cu mătase.

I clothed thee also with richly woven work, and shod thee with sealskin, and I wound fine linen about thy head, and covered thee with silk.

11 Te-am împodobit de asemenea cu ornamente și ți-am pus brățări la mâini și un lănțișor la gât.

I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.

12 Și ți-am pus o bijuterie pe frunte și cercei în urechi și o coroană frumoasă pe cap.

And I put a ring upon thy nose, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thy head.

13 Astfel ai fost împodobită cu aur și cu argint și veșmântul tău [era din] in subțire și mătase și lucrare brodată; ai mâncat floarea făinii și miere și untdelemn; și ai fost foarte frumoasă și ai prosperat și ai ajuns o împărăție.

Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and richly woven work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil; and thou didst wax exceeding beautiful, and thou wast meet for royal estate.

14 Și faima ta a mers printre păgâni pentru frumusețea ta, pentru că aceasta [era] desăvârșită prin frumusețea mea, pe care am pus-o peste tine, spune Domnul DUMNEZEU.

And thy renown went forth among the nations for thy beauty; for it was perfect, through My splendour which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.

15 Dar tu te-ai încrezut în frumusețea ta și ai făcut pe curva din cauza faimei tale, și ți-ai turnat curviile la fiecare ce trecea; a lui era [frumusețea ta].

But thou didst trust in thy beauty and play the harlot because of thy renown, and didst pour out thy harlotries on every one that passed by; his it was.

16 Și ai luat din hainele tale și ți-ai împodobit înălțimile tale cu felurite culori și ai făcut pe curva pe ele, [astfel de lucruri] nu se vor [mai] întâmpla, nici nu va mai fi [astfel].

And thou didst take of thy garments, and didst make for thee high places decked with divers colours, and didst play the harlot upon them; the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

17 Ai luat de asemenea bijuteriile tale frumoase din aurul meu și din argintul meu, pe care ți le dădusem și ți-ai făcut chipuri de bărbați și ai curvit cu ele,

Thou didst also take thy fair jewels of My gold and of My silver, which I had given thee, and madest for thee images of men, and didst play the harlot with them;

18 Și ai luat hainele tale brodate și le-ai acoperit; și ai pus untdelemnul meu și tămâia mea înaintea lor.

and thou didst take thy richly woven garments and cover them, and didst set Mine oil and Mine incense before them.

19 Mâncarea mea de asemenea, pe care ți-am dat-o, floarea făinii și untdelemn și miere, [cu care] te-am hrănit, și pe ele le-ai pus înaintea lor ca aromă dulce; și [astfel] a fost, spune Domnul DUMNEZEU.

My bread also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou didst even set it before them for a sweet savour, and thus it was; saith the Lord GOD.

20 Mai mult, ai luat pe fiii tăi și pe fiicele tale, pe care mi i-ai născut și pe aceștia i-ai sacrificat lor pentru a fi mâncați. [Este acesta] între curviile tale un lucru mic,

Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto Me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Were thy harlotries a small matter,

21 De ai ucis și pe copiii mei și i-ai dat ca să îi treci [prin foc] pentru ele?

that thou hast slain My children, and delivered them up, in setting them apart unto them?

22 Și în toate urâciunile tale și curviile tale nu ți-ai amintit de zilele tinereții tale, când erai goală și fără haine [și] erai murdărită în sângele tău.

And in all thine abominations and thy harlotries thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast wallowing in thy blood.

23 Și s-a întâmplat după toată stricăciunea ta (vai, vai ție! spune Domnul DUMNEZEU);

And it came to pass after all thy wickedness — woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD —

24 [Că] ți-ai zidit de asemenea un loc de cinste și ți-ai făcut o înălțime în fiecare stradă.

that thou hast built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee a lofty place in every street.

25 Ți-ai zidit înălțimea ta la capul fiecărei căi și ți-ai făcut frumusețea să fie detestată și ți-ai desfăcut picioarele la fiecare ce trecea și ți-ai înmulțit curviile.

Thou hast built thy lofty place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty an abomination, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy harlotries.

26 De asemenea ai curvit cu egiptenii vecinii tăi, mari la carne; și ți-ai înmulțit curviile pentru a mă provoca la mânie.

Thou hast also played the harlot with the Egyptians, thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast multiplied thy harlotry, to provoke Me.

27 Iată, de aceea mi-am întins mâna asupra ta și ți-am micșorat [hrana] rânduită și te-am dat în voia celor care te urăsc, fiicelor filistenilor, care sunt rușinate de calea ta desfrânată.

Behold, therefore I have stretched out My hand over thee, and have diminished thine allowance, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, that are ashamed of thy lewd way.

28 Ai făcut de asemenea pe curva cu asirienii, pentru că erai nesățioasă; da, ai făcut pe curva cu ei și totuși nu ai putut fi satisfăcută.

Thou hast played the harlot also with the Assyrians, without having enough; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet thou wast not satisfied.

29 Mai mult, ți-ai înmulțit curvia în țara lui Canaan până în Caldeea; și totuși nu ai fost satisfăcută cu aceasta.

Thou hast moreover multiplied thy harlotry with the land of traffic, even with Chaldea; and yet thou didst not have enough herewith.

30 Cât de slabă este inima ta, spune Domnul DUMNEZEU, văzând că faci toate acestea, lucrarea unei femei curve trufașă;

How weak is thy heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of a wanton harlot;

31 În aceea că îți zidești un loc de cinste la capul fiecărei căi și îți faci înălțime în fiecare stradă; și nu ai fost ca o curvă, în aceea că tu batjocorești plata;

in that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thy lofty place in every street; and hast not been as a harlot that enhanceth her hire.

32 [Ci ca] o soție care comite adulter, [care] ia pe străini în locul soțului ei!

Thou wife that committest adultery, that takest strangers instead of thy husband —

33 Ei dau daruri tuturor curvelor; dar tu dai darurile tale tuturor iubiților tăi și îi plătești, ca ei să vină la tine din toate părțile pentru curvia ta.

to all harlots gifts are given; but thou hast given thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hast bribed them to come unto thee from every side in thy harlotries.

34 Și tu ești altfel în curviile tale față de [alte] femei, prin aceea că nimeni nu te urmează ca să curvească; ci în aceea că tu dai o răsplată și nicio răsplată nu îți este dată ție, de aceea tu ești altfel.

And the contrary is in thee from other women, in that thou didst solicit to harlotry, and wast not solicited; and in that thou givest hire, and no hire is given unto thee, thus thou art contrary.

35 De aceea, curvă, ascultă cuvântul DOMNULUI;

Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD!

36 Astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEU: Pentru că murdăria ta a fost turnată afară și goliciunea ta descoperită prin curviile tale cu iubiții tăi și cu toți idolii urâciunilor tale și prin sângele copiilor tăi, pe care i-ai dat lor;

Thus saith the Lord GOD: Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness uncovered through thy harlotries with thy lovers; and because of all the idols of thy abominations, and for the blood of thy children, that thou didst give unto them;

37 Iată, de aceea voi aduna pe toți iubiții tăi cu care ai avut plăcere și pe toți [cei] care i-ai iubit, cu toți [cei] pe care i-ai urât; îi voi aduna de jur împrejur împotriva ta și îți voi descoperi goliciunea înaintea lor, încât ei să vadă toată goliciunea ta.

therefore behold, I will gather all thy lovers, unto whom thou hast been pleasant, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them against thee from every side, and will uncover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

38 Și te voi judeca, cum sunt judecate femeile care comit adulter și care varsă sânge; și îți voi da sânge în furie și gelozie.

And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will bring upon thee the blood of fury and jealousy.

39 Și te voi da de asemenea în mâna lor și ei îți vor dărâma locul tău de cinste și îți vor sfărâma înălțimile; te vor dezbrăca de asemenea de hainele tale și îți vor lua bijuteriile tale frumoase și te vor lăsa goală și fără haine.

I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and break down thy lofty places; and they shall strip thee of thy clothes, and take thy fair jewels; and they shall leave thee naked and bare.

40 Ei vor aduce de asemenea o ceată împotriva ta și te vor ucide cu pietre și te vor străpunge cu săbiile lor.

They shall also bring up an assembly against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

41 Și îți vor arde casele cu foc și vor face judecăți asupra ta înaintea ochilor multor femei; și te voi face să încetezi a mai face pe curva și de asemenea nu vei mai da vreo plată.

And they shall burn thy houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women; and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou shalt also give no hire any more.

42 Astfel voi face ca furia mea împotriva ta să se odihnească și gelozia mea se va depărta de la tine și voi fi liniștit și nu mă voi mai mânia.

So will I satisfy My fury upon thee, and My jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

43 Pentru că nu ți-ai amintit de zilele tinereții tale, ci m-ai provocat în toate acestea; iată, de aceea și eu îți voi întoarce calea ta asupra capului [tău], spune Domnul DUMNEZEU; și nu vei [mai] face această desfrânare deasupra tuturor urâciunilor tale.

Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted Me in all these things; lo, therefore I also will bring thy way upon thy head, saith the Lord GOD; or hast thou not committed this lewdness above all thine abominations?

44 Iată, oricine folosește proverbe va folosi [acest] proverb împotriva ta, spunând: [Precum este] mama, [astfel este] fiica ei.

Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying: As the mother, so her daughter.

45 Tu [ești] fiica mamei tale, care detestă pe soțul ei și pe copiii ei; și [ești] sora surorilor tale, care au detestat pe soții lor și pe copiii lor; mama voastră [a fost] hitită și tatăl vostru amorit.

Thou art thy mother's daughter, that loatheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children; your mother was a Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

46 Și sora ta mai mare [este] Samaria, ea și fiicele ei care locuiesc la stânga ta; și sora ta mai tânără care locuiește la dreapta ta, [este] Sodoma și fiicele ei.

And thine elder sister is Samaria, that dwelleth at thy left hand, she and her daughters; and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

47 Totuși tu nu ai umblat după căile lor, nici nu ai lucrat după urâciunile lor; ci, ca și [cum acesta ar fi fost] un [lucru] foarte mic, tu ai fost mai coruptă decât ele în toate căile tale.

Yet hast thou not walked in their ways, nor done after their abominations; but in a very little while thou didst deal more corruptly than they in all thy ways.

48 [Precum] eu trăiesc, spune Domnul DUMNEZEU, sora ta Sodoma nu a făcut, nici ea nici fiicele ei, precum ai făcut tu și fiicele tale.

As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.

49 Iată, aceasta a fost nelegiuirea surorii tale Sodoma: mândrie, plinătate de pâine și abundență de lenevie erau în ea și în fiicele ei; și nu a întărit mâna celui sărac și nevoiaș.

Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom: pride, fulness of bread, and careless ease was in her and in her daughters; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

50 Și ele au fost trufașe și au lucrat urâciune înaintea mea; de aceea le-am îndepărtat precum mi s-a părut [bine].

And they were haughty, and committed abomination before Me; therefore I removed them when I saw it.

51 Nici Samaria nu a făcut [nici] jumătate din păcatele tale, dar tu ți-ai înmulțit urâciunile tale mai mult decât ele și ai declarat drepte pe surorile tale în toate urâciunile tale pe care le-ai făcut.

Neither hath Samaria committed even half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters by all thine abominations which thou hast done.

52 Tu de asemenea, care ai judecat pe surorile tale, poartă-ți propria ta rușine pentru păcatele tale pe care le-ai făcut mai urâcios decât ele, ele sunt mai drepte decât tine; da, fii de asemenea încurcată și poartă-ți rușinea, în aceea că tu le-ai declarat drepte pe surorile tale.

Thou also, bear thine own shame, in that thou hast given judgment for thy sisters; through thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they, they are more righteous than thou; yea, be thou also confounded, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

53 Când voi întoarce din nou pe captivii lor, captivii Sodomei și a fiicelor ei și captivii Samariei și a fiicelor ei, atunci [voi întoarce din nou] pe captivii captivității tale în mijlocul lor;

And I will turn their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, and the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them;

54 Ca să îți porți propria ta rușine și să fii încurcată în tot ce ai făcut, în aceea că ești o mângâiere pentru ele.

that thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be ashamed because of all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.

55 Când surorile tale, Sodoma și fiicele ei, se vor întoarce la starea lor dinainte și Samaria și fiicele ei se vor întoarce la starea lor dinainte, atunci [și] tu și fiicele tale vă veți întoarce la starea voastră dinainte.

And thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, and thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

56 Pentru că sora ta Sodoma nu a fost menționată de gura ta în ziua mândriei tale,

For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride;

57 Înainte ca stricăciunea ta să se descopere, ca pe timpul ocărârii [tale] a fiicelor Siriei și a tuturor [celor ce sunt] de jur împrejurul ei, fiicele filistenilor, care te disprețuiesc de jur împrejur.

before thy wickedness was uncovered, as at the time of the taunt of the daughters of Aram, and of all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, that have thee in disdain round about.

58 Tu ți-ai purtat desfrânarea și urâciunile tale, spune DOMNUL.

Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD.

59 Pentru că astfel spune Domnul DUMNEZEU: Mă voi purta cu tine precum te-ai purtat [cu alții], tu care ai disprețuit jurământul călcând legământul.

For thus saith the Lord GOD: I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, who hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

60 Totuși eu îmi voi aminti de legământul meu cu tine în zilele tinereții tale și voi întemeia pentru tine un legământ veșnic.

Nevertheless I will remember My covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.

61 Atunci îți vei aminti de căile tale și vei fi rușinată, când le vei primi pe surorile tale, pe cele mai mari și pe cele mai tinere; și ți le voi da ca fiice, dar nu prin legământul tău.

Then shalt thou remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder sisters and thy younger; and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not because of thy covenant.

62 Și eu voi întemeia legământul meu cu tine și vei ști că eu [sunt] DOMNUL;

And I will establish My covenant with thee, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD;

63 Ca să îți amintești și să fii încurcată și niciodată să nu îți mai deschizi gura din cauza rușinii tale, după ce eu mă voi fi potolit față de tine pentru tot ce ai făcut, spune Domnul DUMNEZEU.

that thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more, because of thy shame; when I have forgiven thee all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.'
