Deuteronomul 34
1 Şi Moise s-a urcat din câmpiile Moabului pe muntele Nebo, pe vârful muntelui Pisga, care este în dreptul Ierihonului. Şi DOMNUL i-a arătat toată ţara lui Galaad până la Dan,
And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mount of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is before Jericho; and the Lord showed him all the land [from] Gil'ad unto Dan,
2 Şi tot Neftali şi ţara lui Efraim şi Manase şi toată ţara lui Iuda, până la marea cea mai îndepărtată,
And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Menasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the western sea.
3 Şi sudul şi câmpia văii Ierihonului, cetatea palmierilor, până la Ţoar.
And the south, and the plain, the valley of Jericho, the city of palm-trees, unto Zoar.
4 Şi DOMNUL i-a spus: Aceasta este ţara pe care am jurat-o lui Avraam, lui Isaac şi lui Iacob, spunând: O voi da seminţei tale, te-am făcut să o vezi cu ochii tăi, dar tu nu vei trece în ea.
And the Lord said unto him, This is the land which I swore unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it: I have let thee see it with thy eyes, but thither shalt thou not go over.
5 Şi Moise, servitorul DOMNULUI, a murit acolo în ţara Moabului, conform cuvântului DOMNULUI.
And Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the order of the Lord.
6 Şi el l-a înmormântat într-o vale în ţara Moabului, faţă în faţă cu Bet-Peor şi nimeni nu ştie mormântul lui până în ziua aceasta.
And he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
7 Şi Moise era în vârstă de o sută două zeci de ani când a murit, ochiul său nu se întunecase, nici vigoarea lui nu îl părăsise.
And Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died; his eye was not dimmed, and his natural force had not abated.
8 Şi copiii lui Israel l-au plâns pe Moise treizeci de zile în câmpiile Moabului; şi zilele plânsului şi jelirii pentru Moise s-au sfârşit.
And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; and then were ended the days of weeping and mourning for Moses.
9 Şi Iosua, fiul lui Nun, era plin de duhul înţelepciunii, pentru că Moise îşi pusese mâinile peste el, şi copiii lui Israel i-au dat ascultare şi au făcut precum poruncise DOMNUL lui Moise.
And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him; and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
10 Şi nu s-a mai ridicat profet în Israel ca Moise, pe care să îl fi cunoscut DOMNUL faţă către faţă,
And there arose not a prophet since then in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,
11 În toate semnele şi minunile pe care DOMNUL l-a trimis să le facă în ţara Egiptului lui Faraon şi tuturor servitorilor lui şi întregii lui ţări,
In respect to all the signs and the wonders, which the Lord had sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
12 Şi cu toată acea mână puternică şi în toate lucrurile mari şi în toată groaza mare pe care Moise le-a arătat înaintea ochilor întregului Israel.
And in respect to all that mighty hand, and in all the great terrific deeds which Moses displayed before the eyes of all Israel.
