Deuteronomul 26
1 Şi va fi astfel, când vei intra în ţara, pe care ţi-o dă DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău ca moştenire, şi o vei stăpâni şi vei locui în ea,
And it shall be when thou shalt enter into the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance, —and shalt possess it and dwell therein,
2 Să iei din primele roade ale pământului, pe care le vei aduce din ţara ta, pe care ţi-o dă DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău, şi să le pui într-un coş şi să mergi la locul pe care îl va alege DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău să îşi pună numele acolo.
then shalt thou take—of the first of all the fruit of the soil which thou shalt bring in from thy land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee and shalt put it in a basket, —and go thy way unto the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose, to make a habitation for his name there.
3 Şi să mergi la preotul care va fi în zilele acelea şi să îi spui: Mărturisesc astăzi DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău, că am intrat în ţara, pe care DOMNUL a jurat părinţilor noştri, că ne-o va da.
And thou shalt come in unto the priest who shall be in those days, —and shalt say unto him—I declare to-day unto Yahweh thy God, that I am come into the land which Yahweh sware unto our fathers that he would give unto us.
4 Şi preotul să ia coşul din mâna ta şi să îl pună jos înaintea altarului DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău.
Then shall the priest take the basket out of thy hand, —and set it down before the altar of Yahweh thy God.
5 Şi să vorbeşti şi să spui înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău: Tatăl meu era un sirian gata să piară şi a coborât în Egipt, cu puţini oameni, şi acolo a locuit temporar şi acolo a devenit o naţiune mare, puternică şi numeroasă,
And thou shalt respond and say before Yahweh thy God—A Syrian ready to perish, was my father, so he went down to Egypt, and became a sojourner there with men only few; but he became there a nation great, mighty and numerous;
6 Şi egiptenii s-au purtat rău cu noi şi ne-au chinuit şi au pus robie grea peste noi,
and the Egyptians, badly entreated us, and humiliated us, —and put upon us harsh service;
7 Şi când noi am strigat către DOMNUL Dumnezeul părinţilor noştri, DOMNUL a auzit vocea noastră şi a văzut necazul nostru şi osteneala noastră şi oprimarea noastră,
so we made outcry unto Yahweh God of our fathers, —and Yahweh hearkened unto our voice, and looked upon our humiliation and our toil, and our oppression;
8 Şi DOMNUL ne-a scos din Egipt cu mână tare şi cu braţ întins şi cu groază mare şi cu semne şi cu minuni,
and Yahweh, brought us forth, out of Egypt, with a firm hand and with a stretched-out arm, and with great terror, —and with signs and with wonders;
9 Şi ne-a adus în locul acesta şi ne-a dat ţara aceasta, ţară în care curge lapte şi miere.
and brought us into this place, and gave unto us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
10 Şi acum, iată, am adus primele roade ale ţării, pe care tu, DOAMNE, mi-ai dat-o. Şi să le pui înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău şi să te închini înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău.
Now, therefore lo! I have brought in the first of the fruit of the soil, which thou hast given unto me, O Yahweh. Thus shalt thou set it down before Yahweh thy God, and shall bow thyself down before Yahweh thy God;
11 Şi să te bucuri în fiecare lucru bun, pe care ţi l-a dat DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău, ţie şi casei tale, tu şi levitul şi străinul care este printre voi.
and shalt rejoice in all the good things which Yahweh thy God, hath given unto thee, and unto thy house, —thou and the Levite, and the sojourner who is in thy midst.
12 Când vei termina de strâns toate zeciuielile din venitul tău în anul al treilea, anul zeciuielii, şi le vei da levitului, străinului, celui fără tată şi văduvei, ca ei să mănânce înăuntrul porţilor tale şi să fie săturaţi,
When thou shalt make an end of tithing all the tithe of thine increase in the third year the year of tithing, —and shalt give unto the Levite unto the sojourner, unto the fatherless and unto the widow, and they shall eat within thy gates and be satisfied,
13 Atunci să spui înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău: Am scos din casă lucrurile sfinte şi le-am dat şi levitului şi străinului, celui fără tată şi văduvei, conform cu toate poruncile tale, pe care mi le-ai poruncit; nu am încălcat nici nu am uitat vreuna din poruncile tale.
then shalt thou say—before Yahweh thy God: —I have carefully removed that which was hallowed out of the house moreover also I have given it unto the Levite, and unto the sojourner unto the fatherless and unto the widow, according to all thy commandment which thou hast commanded me, —I have not transgressed any of thy commandments neither have I forgotten,
14 Nu am mâncat din ele în jalea mea, nici nu am îndepărtat din ele pentru vreo folosire necurată, nici nu am dat din ele pentru morţi, ci am dat ascultare vocii DOMNULUI Dumnezeul meu şi am făcut conform cu tot ce mi-ai poruncit.
I have not eaten in my sorrow therefrom neither have I removed therefrom when unclean, neither have I given thereof unto the dead, —I have hearkened unto the voice of Yahweh my God, I have done according to all which thou hast commanded me.
15 Priveşte jos din locuinţa ta cea sfântă, din cer, şi binecuvântează pe poporul tău Israel şi ţara pe care ne-ai dat-o, precum ai jurat părinţilor noştri, o ţară în care curge lapte şi miere.
Look thou down out of thy holy habitation out of the heavens and bless thy people Israel, and the soil which thou hast given unto us, —as thou didst swear unto our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
16 Astăzi DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău ţi-a poruncit să împlineşti aceste statute şi judecăţi şi să le ţii de aceea şi să le împlineşti cu toată inima ta şi cu tot sufletul tău.
This day, is Yahweh thy God commanding thee to do these statutes and the regulations, —thou shalt therefore observe and do them, with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
17 Tu ai declarat astăzi pe DOMNUL ca Dumnezeu al tău, şi că vei umbla în căile lui şi vei ţine statutele lui şi poruncile lui şi judecăţile lui şi că vei da ascultare vocii lui,
Thou hast avowed to-day that Yahweh, shall be, thy God, and that thou wilt walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his regulations and wilt hearken unto his voice.
18 Şi DOMNUL te-a declarat astăzi a fi poporul lui deosebit, precum ţi-a promis; şi tu să ţii toate poruncile lui;
And, Yahweh, hath avowed to-day that thou shalt be, his people, as a treasure, as he spake unto thee, —and that thou shalt observe all his commandments;
19 Şi că te va înălţa, mai presus de toate naţiunile pe care le-a făcut el, în laudă şi în renume şi în onoare; şi că tu vei fi un popor sfânt DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău, precum a vorbit el.
and [hath avowed] that he will set thee on high above all the nations which he hath made, for praise, and for renown and for glory, and that thou shalt be a holy people unto Yahweh thy God as he hath spoken.
