Deuteronomul 2
1 Apoi ne-am întors şi am călătorit în pustiu, pe calea Mării Roşii, precum mi-a vorbit DOMNUL şi am înconjurat muntele Seir multe zile.
And we turned and we set out the wilderness towards [the] way of [the] sea of reed[s] just as he had spoken Yahweh to me and we went around [the] hill country of Seir days many.
2 Şi DOMNUL mi-a vorbit, spunând:
And he said Yahweh to me saying.
3 Destul aţi înconjurat acest munte; întoarceţi-vă spre nord.
[is] enough For you going round the hill country this turn yourselves north-ward.
4 Şi porunceşte poporului, spunând: Să treceţi prin ţinutul fraţilor voştri, copiii lui Esau, care locuiesc în Seir; şi ei se vor teme de voi, de aceea aveţi grijă de voi;
And the people command saying you [are] about to pass in [the] territory of relatives your [the] descendants of Esau who dwell in Seir so they may be afraid from you and you will take heed exceedingly.
5 Nu vă amesticați cu ei; deoarece nu vă voi da din ţara lor, nu, nici cât lăţimea piciorului, deoarece muntele Seir l-am dat în stăpânire lui Esau.
May not you engage in strife with them for not I will give to you any of land their up to a treading place of [the] sole of a foot for a possession to Esau I have given [the] hill country of Seir.
6 Să cumpăraţi de la ei hrană cu bani, ca să mâncaţi; şi de asemenea să cumpăraţi de la ei apă cu bani, ca să beţi.
Food you will buy from with them for silver and you will eat and also water you will buy from with them for silver and you will drink.
7 Fiindcă DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău te-a binecuvântat în toate lucrările mâinii tale, el cunoaşte mersul tău prin acest mare pustiu; în aceşti patruzeci de ani DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău a fost cu tine, nu ţi-a lipsit nimic.
For Yahweh God your he has blessed you in all [the] work of hand your he has known walking you the wilderness great this this - forty year[s] Yahweh God your [has been] with you not you have lacked anything.
8 Şi când am trecut pe alături de fraţii noştri, copiii lui Esau, care locuiau în Seir, prin calea câmpiei, de la Elat şi de la Eţion-Gheber, ne-am întors şi am trecut pe calea pustiului Moabului.
And we passed away from with relatives our [the] descendants of Esau who were dwelling in Seir from [the] way of the desert plain from Elath and from Ezion Geber. And we turned and we passed along [the] way of [the] wilderness of Moab.
9 Şi DOMNUL mi-a spus: Nu chinuiţi pe moabiţi; nici nu vă luptaţi cu ei în bătălie, pentru că nu îţi voi da din ţara lor ca stăpânire, căci am dat Arul copiilor lui Lot ca stăpânire.
And he said Yahweh to me to you may provoke Moab and may not you engage in strife with them battle for not I will give to you any of land his a possession for to [the] descendants of Lot I have given Ar a possession.
10 Emimii locuiau acolo în trecut, un popor mare şi numeros şi înalt, ca anachimii;
The Emites before they dwelt in it a people great and numerous and lofty like the Anakites.
11 Care au fost socotiţi şi ei uriaşi, ca anachimii, dar moabiţii îi numesc emimi.
Rephaites they were regarded also they like the Anakites and the Moabites they called them Emites.
12 Horiţii de asemenea locuiau înainte în Seir; dar copiii lui Esau i-au alungat, când i-au nimicit dinaintea lor şi au locuit în locul lor, precum a făcut Israel în ţara stăpânirii lui, pe care DOMNUL le-a dat-o.
And in Seir they dwelt the Horites before and [the] descendants of Esau they dispossessed them and they destroyed them from before them and they dwelt in place of them just as it did Israel to [the] land of possession its which he gave Yahweh to them.
13 Acum ridicaţi-vă şi treceţi pârâul Zered. Şi am trecut pârâul Zered.
Now arise and pass over yourselves [the] wadi of Zered and we passed over [the] wadi of Zered.
14 Şi timpul în care am venit de la Cades-Barnea până am trecut pârâul Zered, a fost de treizeci şi opt de ani, până a pierit toată generaţia bărbaţilor de război din mijlocul oştirii, precum DOMNUL le jurase.
And the days which we walked - from Kadesh Barnea until that we passed over [the] wadi of Zered [were] thirty and eight year[s] until was finished all the generation [the] men of war from [the] midst of the camp just as he had sworn Yahweh to them.
15 Fiindcă într-adevăr mâna DOMNULUI a fost împotriva lor, ca să îi nimicească din mijlocul oştirii, până când au fost mistuiţi.
And also [the] hand of Yahweh it was on them to disturb them from [the] midst of the camp until were finished they.
16 Astfel s-a întâmplat, când toţi bărbaţii de război au fost mistuiţi şi au murit din popor,
And it was just when they had finished all [the] men of war to die from [the] midst of the people.
17 Că DOMNUL mi-a vorbit, spunând:
And he spoke Yahweh to me saying.
18 Să treci astăzi prin Ar, ţinutul Moabului,
You [are] about to pass over this day [the] border of Moab Ar.
19 Şi când te apropii de copiii lui Amon, să nu îi chinui nici să nu te amesteci cu ei, pentru că nu îţi voi da din ţara copiilor lui Amon în stăpânire; deoarece am dat-o copiilor lui Lot ca stăpânire.
And you will draw near in front of [the] people of Ammon may not you provoke them and may not you engage in strife with them for not I will give any of [the] land of [the] people of Ammon to you a possession for to [the] descendants of Lot I have given it a possession.
20 (Aceasta de asemenea era socotită o ţară de uriaşi; uriaşii locuiau în ea în vechime; şi amoniţii îi numesc zamzumimi;
[the] land of [the] Rephaites It was regarded also it [the] Rephaites they dwelt in it before and the Ammonites they called them Zamzummites.
21 Un popor mare şi numeros şi înalt, ca anachimii; dar DOMNUL i-a nimicit dinaintea lor şi ei i-au alungat şi au locuit în locul lor,
A people great and numerous and lofty like the Anakites and he destroyed them Yahweh from before them and they dispossessed them and they dwelt in place of them.
22 Precum a făcut copiilor lui Esau, care locuiau în Seir, când i-a nimicit pe horiţi dinaintea lor; şi i-au alungat şi au locuit în locul lor până în ziua aceasta;
Just as he had done for [the] descendants of Esau who were dwelling in Seir whom he destroyed the Horite[s] from before them and they dispossessed them and they have dwelt in place of them until the day this.
23 Şi pe aviţii care locuiau în Haţerim, până la Gaza, i-au nimicit caftoriţii, care au ieşit din Caftor, şi au locuit în locul lor.)
And the Avvites who were dwelling in villages to Gaza [the] Caphtorites who came forth from Caphtor they destroyed them and they dwelt in place of them.
24 Ridicaţi-vă, călătoriţi şi treceţi râul Arnon, iată, am dat în mâna ta pe Sihon amoritul, împăratul Hesbonului şi ţara lui; începe să o iei în stăpânire şi luptă-te cu el în bătălie.
Arise set out and pass over [the] wadi of Arnon see I give in hand your Sihon [the] king of Heshbon the Amorite and land his begin take possession of [it] and engage in strife with him battle.
25 Astăzi voi începe să pun groaza de tine şi teama de tine peste toate naţiunile de sub tot cerul, care vor auzi mărturie despre tine şi se vor cutremura şi se vor chinui din cauza ta.
The day this I will begin to put dread your and fear your on [the] face of the peoples under all the heavens who they will hear! report your and they will tremble and they will be in anguish because of you.
26 Şi am trimis mesageri din pustiul Chedemot la Sihon, împăratul Hesbonului, cu cuvinte de pace, spunând:
And I sent messengers from [the] wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon [the] king of Heshbon words of peace saying.
27 Lasă-mă să trec prin ţara ta, voi merge numai pe drumul mare; nu mă voi abate nici la dreapta nici la stânga.
Let me pass in land your on the road on the road I will go not I will turn aside right [hand] and left [hand].
28 Să îmi vinzi hrană pe bani, ca să mănânc; şi să îmi dai apă pe bani, ca să beau; voi trece numai cu picioarele mele;
Food for silver you will sell me and I will eat and water for silver you will give to me and I will drink only let me pass through on feet my.
29 (Precum mi-au făcut copiii lui Esau care locuiesc în Seir şi moabiţii care locuiesc în Ar), până voi trece Iordanul în ţara pe care ne-o dă DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru.
Just as they did for me [the] descendants of Esau who dwell in Seir and the Moabites who dwell in Ar until that I will pass over the Jordan into the land which Yahweh God our [is] about to give to us.
30 Dar Sihon, împăratul Hesbonului, nu a voit să ne lase să trecem pe la el; fiindcă DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău i-a împietrit duhul şi i-a înăsprit inima, ca să îl dea în mâna ta, ca în ziua aceasta.
And not he was willing Sihon [the] king of Heshbon to let pass us in him for he had made stubborn Yahweh God your spirit his and he had made obstinate heart his so as to give him in hand your as the day this.
31 Şi DOMNUL mi-a spus: Iată, am început să dau pe Sihon şi ţara lui înaintea ta; începe să iei în stăpânire, ca să moşteneşti ţara lui.
And he said Yahweh to me see I have begun to deliver up before you Sihon and land his begin take possession to take possession of land his.
32 Atunci Sihon a ieşit împotriva noastră, el şi tot poporul său, să lupte la Iahaţ.
And he came forth Sihon to meet us he and all people his for battle Jahaz towards.
33 Şi DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru l-a predat înaintea noastră; şi l-am lovit, pe el şi pe copiii săi şi pe tot poporul său.
And he delivered up him Yahweh God our before us and we struck down him and (sons his *Q(K)*) and all people his.
34 Şi în timpul acela am luat toate cetăţile lui, am nimicit în întregime pe bărbaţi şi pe femei şi pe micuţi, din fiecare cetate; nu am lăsat pe nimeni să rămână;
And we captured all cities his at the time that and we totally destroyed every city of men and the women and the little one[s] not we spared a survivor.
35 Numai vitele le-am luat ca pradă pentru noi şi prada cetăţilor pe care le-am cucerit.
Only the livestock we plundered for ourselves and [the] booty of the cities which we had captured.
36 De la Aroer, care este pe malul râului Arnon, şi de la cetatea care este lângă râu, până la Galaad, nu a fost nicio cetate prea tare pentru noi; DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru ni le-a dat pe toate.
From Aroer which [is] on [the] edge of [the] wadi of Arnon and the city which [is] in the wadi and to Gilead not it was a town which it was [too] high for us every one he delivered up Yahweh God our before us.
37 Numai de ţara copiilor lui Amon nu te-ai apropiat, nici de vreun loc al râului Iaboc, nici de cetăţile din munţi, nici de tot ce ne-a spus DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru.
Only to [the] land of [the] people of Ammon not you drew near all [the] side of [the] wadi of Jabbok and [the] cities of the hill country and all that he had commanded Yahweh God our.
