Deuteronomul 1
1 Acestea sunt cuvintele pe care le-a rostit Moise, întregului Israel, de partea aceasta a Iordanului în pustiu, în câmpia din dreptul Mării Roşii, între Paran şi Tofel şi Laban şi Haţerot şi Di-Zahab.
These [are] the words which he spoke Moses to all Israel on [the] other side of the Jordan in the wilderness in the desert plain opposite to Suph between Paran and between Tophel and Laban and Hazeroth and Di Zahab.
2 (Sunt unsprezece zile de călătorie de la Horeb pe calea Muntelui Seir până la Cades-Barnea).
[is] one [plus] Ten day[s] from Horeb [the] way of [the] mountain of Seir to Kadesh Barnea.
3 Şi s-a întâmplat în al patruzecilea an, în a unsprezecea lună, în prima zi a lunii, că Moise a vorbit copiilor lui Israel, conform cu tot ceea ce DOMNUL i-a dat ca poruncă pentru ei;
And it was in forty year in [the] one [plus] ten month on [day] one of the month he spoke Moses to [the] people of Israel according to all that he had commanded Yahweh him to them.
4 După ce ucisese pe Sihon, împăratul amoriţilor, care locuia în Hesbon; şi pe Og, împăratul Basanului, care locuia la Aştarot, în Edrei,
After had defeated he Sihon [the] king of the Amorite[s] who [was] dwelling in Heshbon and Og [the] king of Bashan who [was] dwelling in Ashtaroth in Edrei.
5 De partea aceasta a Iordanului, în ţara Moabului, Moise a început să vestească această lege, spunând:
On [the] other side of the Jordan in [the] land of Moab he undertook Moses he made clear the law this saying.
6 DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru ne-a vorbit la Horeb, spunând: Aţi locuit destul de mult pe muntele acesta;
Yahweh God our he spoke to us at Horeb saying [is] enough for you remaining at the mountain this.
7 Întoarceţi-vă şi călătoriţi şi mergeţi la muntele amoriţilor şi la toate locurile apropiate de el, în câmpie, la dealuri şi la vale şi în sud şi pe ţărmul mării, în ţara canaaniţilor şi la Liban până la râul cel mare, râul Eufrat.
Turn - and set out for yourselves and go [the] hill country of the Amorite[s] and to all neighbors its in the desert plain in the hill country and in the Shephelah and in the Negev and on [the] coast of the sea [the] land of the Canaanite[s] and Lebanon to the river great [the] river of Euphrates.
8 Iată, v-am pus ţara înainte, intraţi şi stăpâniţi ţara pe care DOMNUL a jurat-o părinţilor voştri, Avraam, Isaac şi Iacob, că le-o va da lor şi seminţei lor, după ei.
See I set before you the land go and take possession of the land which he swore Yahweh to ancestors your to Abraham to Isaac and to Jacob to give to them and to offspring their after them.
9 Şi v-am vorbit în timpul acela, spunând: Nu vă pot purta singur,
And I said to you at the time that saying not I am able to alone me to bear you.
10 DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru v-a înmulţit şi, iată, astăzi sunteţi o mulţime ca stelele cerului.
Yahweh God your he has increased you and here you this day [are] like [the] stars of the heavens for multitude.
11 (DOMNUL Dumnezeul părinţilor voştri să vă facă de o mie de ori mai mulţi decât sunteţi şi să vă binecuvânteze, precum v-a promis!)
Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your may he add to you like you a thousand times and may he bless you just as he spoke to you.
12 Cum să pot purta eu singur necazul vostru şi povara voastră şi cearta voastră?
How? will I bear to alone me burden your and burden your and dispute[s] your.
13 Luaţi-vă bărbaţi înţelepţi şi înţelegători şi cunoscuţi printre triburile voastre şi îi voi face conducători peste voi.
Provide for yourselves men wise and understanding and known to tribes your so I may appoint them chiefs your.
14 Şi mi-aţi răspuns şi aţi zis: Lucrul pe care l-ai spus să îl facem este bun.
And you answered me and you said [is] good the word which you have spoken to do.
15 Astfel că am luat pe mai marii triburilor voastre, bărbaţi înţelepţi şi cunoscuţi, şi i-am făcut capi peste voi, căpetenii peste mii şi căpetenii peste sute şi căpetenii peste cincizeci şi căpetenii peste zeci şi administratori printre triburile voastre,
And I took [the] chiefs of tribes your men wise and known and I appointed them chiefs over you leaders of thousands and leaders of hundreds and leaders of fifties and leaders of tens and officials of tribes your.
16 Şi am poruncit judecătorilor voştri în timpul acela, spunând: Ascultaţi cauzele dintre fraţii voştri şi judecaţi cu dreptate între fiecare om şi fratele său şi străinul care este cu el.
And I commanded judges your at the time that saying hear between countrymen your and you will judge righteousness between anyone and between countryman his and between sojourner his.
17 Să nu fiţi părtinitori în judecată, ci să ascultaţi atât pe cel mic cât şi pe cel mare; să nu vă temeţi de faţa omului, pentru că judecata este a lui Dumnezeu şi cauza care este prea grea pentru voi să o aduceţi la mine şi o voi asculta.
Not you will pay regard to faces in judgment as the small as the great you will listen! not you will be afraid of anyone for the judgment [belongs] to God it and the matter which it will be [too] hard for you you will bring near! to me and I will hear it.
18 Şi v-am poruncit în timpul acela toate lucrurile pe care trebuie să le împliniţi.
And I commanded you at the time that all the things which you will do!
19 Şi când am plecat de la Horeb, am mers prin tot pustiul acela mare şi înfricoşător, pe care l-aţi văzut pe calea spre muntele amoriţilor, precum ne-a poruncit DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru; şi am venit la Cades-Barnea.
And we set out from Horeb and we walked all the wilderness great and awesome that which you saw [the] way of [the] hill country of the Amorite[s] just as he had commanded Yahweh God our us and we came to Kadesh Barnea.
20 Şi v-am spus: Aţi ajuns la muntele amoriţilor, pe care ni-l dă DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru.
And I said to you you have come to [the] hill country of the Amorite[s] which Yahweh God our [is] about to give to us.
21 Iată, DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău a pus ţara înaintea ta, urcă-te şi stăpâneşte-o, precum ţi-a spus DOMNUL Dumnezeul părinţilor tăi; nu te teme nici nu te descuraja.
See he sets Yahweh God your before you the land go up take possession of [it] just as he spoke Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your to you may not you be afraid and may not you be dismayed.
22 Şi v-aţi apropiat toţi de mine şi aţi spus: Să trimitem oameni înaintea noastră, să cerceteze ţara pentru noi şi să ne aducă ştire din nou despre calea pe care să ne urcăm şi despre cetăţile la care vom ajunge.
And you drew near! to me all of you and you said let us send out men before us so they may spy out for us the land so they may bring back us word the way which we will go up on it and the cities which we will go to them.
23 Şi spusa aceasta mi-a plăcut mult; şi am luat doisprezece bărbaţi dintre voi, un bărbat din fiecare trib,
And it was good in view my the thing and I took from you two [plus] ten men a man one to the tribe.
24 Şi s-au întors şi s-au urcat la munte şi au venit până la Valea Eşcol şi au cercetat-o.
And they turned and they went up the hill country towards and they came to [the] wadi of Eshcol and they spied out it.
25 Şi au luat în mâinile lor din rodul ţării şi ni l-au adus jos; şi ne-au adus ştire din nou şi au spus: Este o ţară bună pe care ne-a dat-o DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru.
And they took in hand their some of [the] fruit of the land and they brought [it] down to us and they brought back us word and they said [is] good the land which Yahweh God our [is] about to give to us.
26 Totuşi nu aţi voit să vă urcaţi, ci v-aţi răzvrătit împotriva poruncii DOMNULUI Dumnezeul vostru.
And not you were willing to go up and you rebelled toward [the] mouth of Yahweh God your.
27 Şi aţi cârtit în corturile voastre şi aţi spus: Pentru că DOMNUL ne urăşte, ne-a scos din ţara Egiptului, ca să ne dea în mâna amoriţilor, să ne nimicească.
And you murmured in tents your and you said in [the] hatred of Yahweh us he brought out us from [the] land of Egypt to give us in [the] hand of the Amorite[s] to destroy us.
28 Unde să ne urcăm? Fraţii noştri ne-au descurajat inima, spunând: Poporul este mai mare şi mai înalt decât noi; cetăţile sunt mari şi cu ziduri până la cer; şi mai mult, am văzut acolo pe copiii anachimilor.
Where? - [are] we going up countrymen our they have made melt heart our saying [the] people [is] great and lofty more than us [the] cities [are] large and fortified in the heavens and also [the] descendants of [the] Anakites we saw there.
29 Atunci v-am spus: Nu vă îngroziţi, nici nu vă temeţi de ei.
And I said to you not you must be terrified! and not you must be afraid! from them.
30 DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru care merge înaintea voastră, el se va lupta pentru voi, conform cu tot ce a făcut pentru voi în Egipt, înaintea ochilor voştri;
Yahweh God your [is] the [one who] goes before you he he will fight for you according to all that he did with you in Egypt to eyes your.
31 Şi în pustiu, unde ai văzut cum DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău te-a purtat, precum poartă un om pe fiul său, pe tot drumul pe care aţi umblat, până aţi ajuns în acest loc.
And in the wilderness where you saw that he carried you Yahweh God your just as he carries anyone child his on all the journey which you walked until came you to the place this.
32 Totuşi în acest lucru nu aţi crezut pe DOMNUL Dumnezeul vostru,
And in the thing this not you [were] trusting in Yahweh God your.
33 Care a mers pe cale înaintea voastră, să cerceteze pentru voi un loc unde să vă înălţaţi corturile, noaptea în foc, să vă arate calea pe care să mergeţi şi ziua într-un nor.
Who went before you on the journey to seek out for you a place to camp you in the fire - night to show you the way which you will go on it and in the cloud by day.
34 Şi DOMNUL a auzit vocea cuvintelor voastre şi s-a înfuriat şi a jurat, spunând:
And he heard Yahweh [the] sound of words your and he was angry and he swore an oath saying.
35 Negreşit niciunul dintre aceşti oameni din această generaţie rea nu va vedea ţara aceea bună, pe care am jurat să o dau părinţilor voştri,
If he will see anyone among the men these the generation evil this the land good which I swore to give to ancestors your.
36 În afară de Caleb, fiul lui Iefune, el o va vedea; şi îi voi da pământul pe care a călcat, lui şi fiilor lui, deoarece a urmat pe deplin pe DOMNUL.
Except Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh he he will see it and to him I will give the land which he has trodden on it and to sons his because that he filled after Yahweh.
37 Şi DOMNUL s-a mâniat şi pe mine, din cauza voastră, spunând: De asemenea nici tu nu vei intra acolo.
Also with me he was angry Yahweh on account of you saying also you not you will go there.
38 Ci Iosua, fiul lui Nun, care stă în picioare înaintea ta, el va intra acolo; încurajează-l, pentru că el va face pe Israel să o moştenească.
Joshua ([the] son of *L(abh)*) Nun who stands before you he he will go there towards him encourage for he he will give as an inheritance it Israel.
39 Mai mult, micuţii voştri, despre care aţi spus că vor fi o pradă şi copiii voştri, care în acea zi nu au cunoscut între bine şi rău, ei vor intra acolo şi lor le-o voi da şi o vor stăpâni.
And little one[s] your who you said plunder he will become and children your who not they know this day good and evil they they will go there towards and to them I will give it and they they will take possession of it.
40 Dar cât despre voi, întoarceţi-vă şi călătoriţi în pustiu pe calea Mării Roşii.
And you turn yourselves and set out the wilderness towards [the] way of [the] sea of reed[s].
41 Şi aţi răspuns şi mi-aţi zis: Am păcătuit împotriva DOMNULUI; ne vom urca şi vom lupta, conform cu tot ceea ce ne-a poruncit DOMNUL Dumnezeul nostru. Şi când v-aţi încins fiecare cu armele sale de război, aţi fost gata să vă urcaţi pe deal.
And you answered - and you said to me we have sinned to Yahweh we we will go up and we will fight according to all that he has commanded us Yahweh God our and you girded on everyone [the] weapons of war his and you regarded as easy to go up the hill country towards.
42 Şi DOMNUL mi-a zis: Spune-le: Să nu vă urcaţi nici să nu luptaţi, ca să nu fiţi loviţi înaintea duşmanilor voştri, fiindcă eu nu sunt printre voi.
And he said Yahweh to me say to them not you must go up and not you must fight for not I [will be] in midst your and not you will be defeated before enemies your.
43 Astfel v-am vorbit, dar aţi refuzat să ascultaţi şi v-aţi răzvrătit împotriva poruncii DOMNULUI şi v-aţi urcat înfumurați pe deal.
And I spoke to you and not you listened and you rebelled against [the] mouth of Yahweh and you acted presumptuously and you went up the hill country towards.
44 Şi amoriţii, care au locuit pe acel munte, au ieşit împotriva voastră şi v-au urmărit, precum fac albinele, şi v-au nimicit în Seir, până la Horma.
And he came out the Amorite[s] who was dwelling in the hill country that to meet you and they pursued you just as they do bees and they scattered you in Seir to Hormah.
45 Şi v-aţi întors şi aţi plâns înaintea DOMNULUI, dar DOMNUL nu a dat ascultare vocii voastre, nici nu şi-a plecat urechea spre voi.
And you returned and you wept before Yahweh and not he listened Yahweh to voice your and not he gave ear to you.
46 Astfel că aţi locuit în Cades multe zile, conform cu zilele cât aţi stat acolo.
And you remained at Kadesh days many like the days which you remained.
