Coloseni 1
1 Pavel, apostol al lui Isus Cristos prin voia lui Dumnezeu, și fratele Timotei,
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy my brother, —
2 Sfinților și fraților credincioși în Cristos care [sunt] în Colose: Har vouă și pace de la Dumnezeu Tatăl nostru și Domnul Isus Cristos.
Unto the holy and faithful brethren in Christ that are, in Colosse, favour unto you, and peace, from our God and Father.
3 Aducem mulțumiri lui Dumnezeu și Tatăl Domnului nostru Isus Cristos, rugându-ne totdeauna pentru voi,
We are giving thanks unto God, the Father of our Lord Jesus [Christ], always, for you, offering prayer, —
4 De când am auzit de credința voastră în Cristos Isus și de dragostea voastră pentru toți sfinții,
Having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love which ye have unto all the saints, —
5 Pentru speranța care este păstrată pentru voi în cer, despre care ați auzit dinainte în cuvântul adevărului evangheliei,
Because of the hope that is lying by for you in the heavens, of which ye heard before, in the word of the truth of the glad-message,
6 Care a venit la voi ca și în toată lumea, și aduce rod, precum face și în voi, din ziua în care ați auzit-o și ați cunoscut harul lui Dumnezeu în adevăr:
When it presented itself unto you; even as, in all the world also, it is bearing fruit and growing, even as also among you, from the day when ye heard, and came personally to know the favour of God in truth,
7 Precum ați și învățat de la dragul nostru Epafra, împreună-rob cu noi, care este pentru voi un servitor credincios al lui Cristos,
Even as ye learned [it] from Epaphras, our beloved fellow-servant, who is faithful in our behalf, as a minister of the Christ,
8 Care ne-a și vestit dragostea voastră în Duhul.
Who also hath made evident unto us your love in spirit.
9 Din această cauză și noi, din ziua în care am auzit, nu încetăm să ne rugăm pentru voi și să dorim să fiți umpluți cu cunoașterea voii lui în toată înțelepciunea și înțelegerea spirituală,
For this cause, we also, from the day when we heard [of you], cease not, in your behalf, praying and asking—that ye may be filled unto the personal knowledge of his will, in all spiritual wisdom and discernment,
10 Ca voi să umblați demni de Domnul spre toată plăcerea, fiind roditori în fiecare lucrare bună și crescând în cunoașterea lui Dumnezeu;
So as to walk worthily of the Lord, unto all pleasing, in every good work, bearing fruit, and growing in the personal knowledge of God,
11 Întăriți cu toată puterea, conform glorioasei sale tării, spre toată răbdarea și îndelunga răbdare cu bucurie;
With all power, being empowered, according to the grasp of his glory, unto all endurance and long-suffering with joy,
12 Aducând mulțumiri Tatălui, care ne-a făcut demni de a fi părtași moștenirii sfinților în lumină,
Giving thanks unto the Father that hath made you sufficient for your share in the inheritance of the saints in the light,
13 Care ne-a eliberat din puterea întunericului și ne-a strămutat în împărăția Fiului său iubit,
Who hath rescued us out of the authority of the darkness, and translated [us] into the kingdom of the Son of his love;
14 În care avem răscumpărarea prin sângele lui, iertarea păcatelor,
In whom, we have our redemption—the remission of our sins, —
15 Care este chipul Dumnezeului cel invizibil, întâiul născut din toată creația;
Who, is an image of the unseen God, Firstborn of all creation, —
16 Pentru că de el au fost create toate lucrurile care sunt în cer și care sunt pe pământ, vizibile și invizibile, fie tronuri, fie domnii, fie principate, fie autorități: toate au fost create prin el și pentru el.
Because, in him, were created all things in the heavens and upon the earth, the things seen and the things unseen, whether thrones or lordships or principalities or authorities, —they all, through him and for him, have been created,
17 Și el este înaintea a toate și prin el toate se mențin.
And, he, is before all, and, they all, in him, hold together;
18 Și el este capul trupului, al bisericii; el, care este începutul, întâiul-născut dintre morți, ca în toate să aibă întâietatea.
And, he, is the head of the body, the assembly, Who is the beginning, Firstborn from among the dead, in order that, he, might become, in all things, himself, pre-eminent; —
19 Fiindcă Tatălui i-a plăcut ca în el să locuiască toată plinătatea;
Because, in him, was all the fullness well pleased to dwell,
20 Și, făcând pace prin sângele crucii lui, prin el să împace toate pentru el; prin el, fie cele de pe pământ, fie în cer.
And, through him, fully to reconcile all things unto him, making peace through the blood of his cross, —[through him]—whether the things upon the earth or the things in the heavens;
21 Și voi, care ați fost odinioară înstrăinați și dușmani în mintea voastră prin fapte stricate, totuși acum el v-a împăcat,
And, you, who at one time were estranged and enemies in your mind in your wicked works, yet, now, hath he fully reconciled,
22 În trupul cărnii lui, prin moarte, pentru a vă prezenta sfinți și ireproșabili și fără mustrare înaintea lui;
In his body of flesh, through means of his death, to present you holy and blameless and unaccusable before him, —
23 Dacă voi rămâneți în credință, fiind întemeiați și neclintiți și neabătuți de la speranța evangheliei pe care ați auzit-o, care a fost predicată la toată creatura sub cer, căreia îi sunt făcut servitor eu, Pavel,
If, at least, ye are abiding still in the faith, founded and firm, and not to be moved away from the hope of the glad-message which ye have heard, which hath been proclaimed in all creation which is under heaven, —of which, I Paul, have become minister.
24 Care acum mă bucur în suferințele mele pentru voi și împlinesc ceea ce este în urma suferințelor lui Cristos în carnea mea, pentru trupul său, care este biserica,
Now, am I rejoicing in the sufferings on your behalf, and am filling up the things that lack of the tribulations of the Christ, in my flesh, in behalf of his body, which is the assembly,
25 Pentru care am fost făcut servitor, conform administrării lui Dumnezeu, care îmi este dată pentru voi, pentru a împlini cuvântul lui Dumnezeu:
Of which, I, have become minister—according to the administration of God which hath been given unto me to you-ward, to fill up the word of God,
26 Misterul care fusese ascuns de veacuri și de generații, dar acum este arătat pe față sfinților lui, (aiōn g165)
The sacred secret which had been hidden away from the ages and from the generations, but, now, hath been made manifest unto his saints— (aiōn g165)
27 Cărora a voit Dumnezeu să le facă cunoscut care sunt bogățiile gloriei acestui mister printre neamuri, care este Cristos în voi, speranța gloriei;
Unto whom God hath been pleased to make known what is the glorious wealth of this sacred secret among the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of the glory, —
28 Pe care noi îl predicăm, avertizând fiecare om și învățând pe fiecare om în toată înțelepciunea, pentru a putea înfățișa pe fiecare om desăvârșit în Cristos Isus,
Whom we are declaring, admonishing every man, and teaching every man, in all wisdom, in order that we may present every man complete in Christ;
29 Pentru care și eu muncesc, străduindu-mă conform cu lucrarea lui, care lucrează cu putere în mine.
Unto which I am even toiling, contending according to his energy which is energising itself in me with power.
