1 Stăpânilor, dați robilor voștri ce este drept și echitabil, știind că și voi aveți un Stăpân în cer.
You masters, supply your servants with what is just and equitable, knowing that you, too, have a Master in heaven.
2 Continuați în rugăciune și vegheați în aceasta cu mulțumire,
Pursue prayer. Be watchful in prayer with acts of thanksgiving.
3 În același timp rugându-vă și pentru noi, ca Dumnezeu să ne deschidă o ușă a cuvântării, pentru a vorbi misterul lui Cristos, pentru care și sunt în lanțuri,
Pray together, for us also, so that God may open a door of speech to us, so as to speak the mystery of Christ, (because of which, even now, I am in chains)
4 Ca să îl fac cunoscut, așa cum ar trebui eu să vorbesc.
so that I may manifest it in the manner that I ought to speak.
5 Umblați în înțelepciune față de cei de afară, răscumpărând timpul.
Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming this age.
6 Vorbirea voastră să fie totdeauna cu har, dreasă cu sare, ca să știți cum ar trebui să răspundeți fiecărui om.
Let your speech be ever graceful, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to respond to each person.
7 Toate cele în legătură cu mine, vi le va face cunoscute Tihic, fratele preaiubit și credincios servitor și împreună-rob în Domnul,
As for the things that concern me, Tychicus, a most beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord, will make everything known to you.
8 Pe care vi l-am trimis pentru același scop, ca să știe starea voastră și să vă mângâie inimile,
I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that he may know the things that concern you, and may console your hearts,
9 Împreună cu Onisim, credinciosul și preaiubitul frate, care este dintre voi. Ei vă vor face cunoscute toate cele de aici.
with Onesimus, a most beloved and faithful brother, who is from among you. They shall make known to you everything that is happening here.
10 Vă salută Aristarh, părtașul meu de închisoare, și Marcu, fiul surorii lui Barnaba (referitor la care ați primit porunci: dacă vine la voi, primiți-l),
Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, greets you, as does Mark, the near cousin of Barnabas, about whom you have received instructions, (if he comes to you, receive him)
11 Și Isus, cel numit Iustus, care sunt din circumcizie. Doar aceștia sunt conlucrătorii [mei] pentru împărăția lui Dumnezeu, care mi-au fost mângâiere.
and Jesus, who is called Justus, and those who are of the circumcision. These alone are my assistants, unto the kingdom of God; they have been a consolation to me.
12 Vă salută Epafra, care este dintre voi, rob al lui Cristos, totdeauna străduindu-se pentru voi în rugăciuni, ca să stați în picioare desăvârșiți și compleți în toată voia lui Dumnezeu.
Epaphras greets you, who is from among you, a servant of Christ Jesus, ever solicitous for you in prayer, so that you may stand, perfect and complete, in the entire will of God.
13 Fiindcă aduc mărturie despre el că are mare zel față de voi și pentru cei în Laodiceea și în Hierapole.
For I offer testimony to him, that he has labored greatly for you, and for those who are at Laodicea, and for those at Hierapolis.
14 Vă salută Luca, doctorul preaiubit, și Dima.
Luke, a most beloved physician, greets you, as does Demas.
15 Salutați pe frații care sunt în Laodiceea și pe Nimfan și biserica din casa lui.
Greet the brothers who are at Laodicea, and Nymphas, and those who are at his house, a church.
16 Și când această epistolă este citită printre voi, faceți așa încât să fie citită și în biserica laodiceenilor; și voi tot așa, citiți epistola din Laodiceea.
And when this epistle has been read among you, cause it to be read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and you should read that which is from the Laodiceans.
17 Și spuneți lui Arhip: Ia seama la serviciul pe care l-ai primit în Domnul, ca să îl împlinești.
And tell Archippus: “See to the ministry that you have received in the Lord, in order to fulfill it.”
18 Salutarea este de mâna mea, Pavel. Amintiți-vă de lanțurile mele. Harul fie cu voi. Amin.
